Hi Martin! I think you got the butter measurement wrong. 1 cup/2 sticks butter US = 226g of butter, NOT 114g (114g = around 1/2 cup butter only). Hope that helps! Love your videos!

I have a feeling you might have used too much oats. 1 cup of flour should technically weigh more than 1 cup of oats. So after halving the recipe, 1-1/4 of oats should technically weigh less or maybe close to the same weight as 1 cup of flour but with your converted recipe, oats weigh almost 2x your flour. I dont have my baking equipments with me so i can't test this theory out but maybe that's the reason? Another reason might be a recipe for what they call an energy balls?

看片估計應該錯了兩件事,
1, 量錯了oat meal 的份量。目測應該比需要的1.25杯多很多,而且1.25 杯oatmeal 應該只重約120g (抑或你忘記將燕麥份量減半)
2, 牛油太溶了,所以加糖後打不成「creamed」,所以整個質地不夠輕盈fluffy,焗起嚟變厚重。而且可能因為牛油未焗之前已溶了,所以在焗的過程,圓球沒有散開變成曲奇的形狀。
你應該係買錯左oatmeal,睇條片你果隻似係"quick" rolled oat,用"quick" instant oatmeal可以用少好多水
會唔會因為你用左jumbo oats 而唔係porridge oats 所以變左仲乾 因為jumbo oats會吸多啲水份

牛油太溶了…
燕麥本身太乾,所以導致燕麥吸水(油)力強…因此燕麥吸收所有已融化的牛油啦…情況就像牛油減咗3份1錦啦…
建議牛油溫度最好在14~18°c左右…保持牛油的適當既軟硬度,牛油軟而不溶…所以燕麥沒法吸取太多的油份啦!

麥片2-1/2cup =250g
所以一半份量應該是125g

I think he’s right,cuz he said he deducted the portions of the ingredients by half, as the serving size of the original recipe is too much for him

agree. 1/2 cup of oatmeal = 40 gram. it should be 80 gram of oatmeal instead of 212 gr for this cookie.
