Graham did not hire Buffet, because Buffet was not jewish. and not the other way around. Why would a jewish (Graham) not hire another jewish ? Graham wanted only jewish people to work in his firm due to the hard time they had to find jobs in wall street. He obviously became more open minded and hired Buffet afterwards.

Gary It is very easy to make excuses like that when all you do do is fucking sit on your ass and hate on people whom you envy. I feel sorry for people like you.
Buffet is my idol because his investing style reflects exactly how life is...there is a lot of uncertainty or fear , but you have to think hard about what opportunities are the best for the future and stick to those as much as possible.
I love Warren Buffet. He is one of the few richest men I admire. Very humble and quiet. If there would be one question I would ask him it has to be, "Would it be worth helping other people invest in their dreams too for personal gain or to help them grow too?" I would also love to ask him "Where would the best place be to start from even though you have no capital?"

$50,000 at age 16?! Damn i only have like $2,000 but in the way to have more! At least $10,000 when i get to being 17 years old.
Also a problem i have is that every single month my money values less, fucking mexican peso, in 2015 the dollar just cost $15, now it's $20 and it will be more expensive due to Trump, our useless government and the people that just cause caos in the country.

I'd tell him this as a tech nerd, and I would explain to him that a cellphone isn't a wooden desk that can last for decades, because lithium ion and polymer batteries gradually deteriorate, however you can have a stock pile of replaceable batteries but those too deteriorate eventually, so your plan on using your cellphone for 25 years will be short of 15. Also due to system upgrades from carriers, you might as well upgrade eventually, because the carriers won't be able to support obsolete phones.

Correct me if am wrong, but my understanding is he did work for Benjamin Graham for quite a few years and in fact he named his son after Benjamin Graham when he made graham his sons middle name.
Ok so he was first turned down by Graham because he WASN'T a Jew but was later offered a position with Graham. So your facts are incorrect.

So many videos about "Retire early" these days. I have looked onto Mr Buffet to inspire me to make the decision to not stop my efforts at wealth building.
I think he’s successful because he’s passionate about doing the things he loves. Most people want his level of money to fix their problems, not because they enjoy investing. He loves devouring as much information as he can about investing and does it all day long. The cash he makes is simply a scorecard. He doesn’t love being rich, because he lives a modest life and spends his money on nothing.

Dear Alux.com, on Thing No.2, you guys have it wrong. You guys say Graham refused to hire him because he was Jewish, implying that Buffet was Jewish (which he's not). In fact, Graham didn't hire him because he WASN'T Jewish, he felt at the time that there weren't opportunities for Jewish investors on Wall Street so he needed to only hire Jews.

Others have already noted that the fact about Ben Graham is misleading. It is true that Graham refused to ire Buffett because he was not Jewish. The reason was that Jewish people were not welcome in most white-shoe Wall Street firms, so Graham decided to make a space for them in his own. Eventually, Graham hired Buffett, and within a year Graham had started hiring other non-Jews. Buffett, who has always been very pro-Jewish and has enjoyed close friendships with many Jewish people both in finance and other fields, quipped that "What they say about Gentiles is true, You allow one into your firm and they start to take over." Of course, this was an ironic put-down on anti-Semitic memes.
