Or you could just draw the 15cm square base then draw a circle to the corner. Extrude the circle up, draw the sphere, etc like the first one.

Exactly, the point I was trying to make (but maybe didn't explain properly) is that there is a tonne of solutions to every problem and that there is no one correct way to do any one task if the results are correct, then the solution is sound.
