nice episode, if you want to know the song that they played and it warned to catelyn is called the rains of castemere, a song from the lannisters, which sounded strange in a wedding from it's enemies. Welcome to the fanswinter

Hey Logan, fun fact, the episode is called “Rains of Castamere” because that’s the name of the song playing in the background which is the song dedicated to the House Lannister, Catelyn realises this and that’s when she gets nervous and calls Rob
@@inszel yea, after he returned from the war he requested that the Lannister vasalls would pay all their loans back immediately or give them hostages. House Reyne and Tarbeck refused and rebelled, so he had first House Tarbeck defeated and their castle destroyed then he defeated most of the army of House Reyne on the battlefield. The rest of their army went back to their castle Castamere and they all went to their underground mines to hide. Tywin had the entrances sealed and the mines flooded. Everyone down there with many women and children died without having a chance to surrender. Then he burned the castle to the ground to make a point and had a singer sing that song about it. So that whenever that song is played everyone is remembered about what it means to rebell against Tywin Lannister. And now the rains weep over their halls with not a soul to hear.

the starks should listened to Cat 😔 (at least in the show) - Don't climb the wall. Bran climb >> trown > cripled - Don't go to King's Landing. Ned goes >> beheaded - Don't kill Karstark > Robb beheaded him >> lost many soldiers - don't marry tallisa, marry the frey girl >> Robb still married tallisa > slaughtered
Well in the book Cat orders Ned to go to kings landing, although he didnt want to and Robb had to marry to keep his honor and the one if his wife (in the books another one) Also Cat is the only reason Robb had to kill Carstark, because she freed jaime
@ Cat's decision to release Jamie was stupid. She didn't need to release him, just get him away from camp for the night until Robb got back, hell she could have had Jamie taken to Robb by soldiers she trusted... She also started the war between the Stark's and the Lannisters when she kidnapped Tyrion, which was extremely predictable. Cat in the books is a complete moron. Cat in the show is better, but she's still an idiot.
When I watched the Red Wedding I watched it with friends who invited me over, we were all so excited. At the end of the show we were literally DUMBSTRUCK into shocked silence. 😶Packed it in for the night after that and drove home in complete silence, haunted me for a while. 😱
I'd read the books, so I knew the Red Wedding was coming (though in the books, the Stark bannermen fight hard in the hall before being killed.) But seeing it still stunned me, and the music. The first time we hear the Rains of Castamere, Bronn's singing it in the tavern. We hear elements of it when Tywin strides into the throne room to declare victory in Battle of the Blackwater. But this? The instrumental version that we hear here at the Red Wedding is one of the more haunting and beautiful pieces in that you hear it and no other song on the show triggers such a sense of impending doom.
Is it Lord Jon Umber that throws the table over Robb as soon as the Bolts start flying? It also takes 8 men to subdue Lord Umber, what a bad ass I wish we had more of him on the show?
I believe it was Lord Jon Umber, (known, I believe as Strong Jon Umber?) who did that, yes. And killed several men before being slain. Talk about heroic stands.
imo the Red Wedding reaction is what popularized and/or boosted RUclips reactions into the mainstream. It became such a trend for friends of friends to show each other this particular episode and to film their reactions. Sorry not sorry that I was evil laughing the entire time at Logan's face. When I first saw this EP season 4 wasn't even out yet and I literally didn't even want to watch the season finale. I was in total denial.
I couldn't watch any more episodes after this, cos my heart just couldn't handle the hurt and the pain. It took me a year to recover and come back to watch the finale, and then the rest of season 4. It was really painful.....and I can still feel it to this day~~ I hope being able to binge the rest of the series will help you get over this pain a lot faster than I did. =D ~~HUGS~~
I took a long pause as well. I was so proud I went back and binged it all but actually in hindsight, the show did change me. I got much darker and much harder and that’s why I was able to stomach the rest.
R.I.P Starks, although there are some Starks still alive. But isn't it funny that GoT strated with Starks being main characters and there's not a single one in Top10 right now.
I think numerically, most of the Starks are alive at this point. Out of the starting roster (8 if you count Jon), only 3 have died, so more than half are still there.

you never questioned why Lord Bolton had Jaime in custody but never told Robb? Instead sending him back to Kings Landing? That was the big hint right there.
I watched this episode for the first time in a hostel while backpacking and found myself two hours later still processing in my bunk bed with a blank expression. I didn't go out for the rest of the day.
You are no longer a child of summer, but a man of winter. This episode destroyed me. I did not expect it at all. Yes, Robb broke an oath, but what Walder Frey did was even worse. When you invite people over and feed them, like what Walder Frey did with bread and salt, those guests are safe under their protection under the old gods and the new. He broke a sacred rule. He SLAUGHTERED his GUESTS. Catelyn thought all her children were dead, Bran and Rickon were nowhere to be found, Arya was missing, and she had heard no news of Sansa. Robb was her only son left, in her eyes, and when he was killed, her seeing him dead, killed her too. Her scream was agonizing. For her, her last living son, (that she knew of) was dead. Even before her throat was cut, she died herself.
Welcome to the club! From the beginning the book readers had kept this scene secret. You can see on the night of the debut those in the know secretly taped the confused screaming. The Red Wedding separated GoT from everything else. As Ramsey says, if you think this has a happy ending you haven’t been listening.
It takes 3 seasons, but welcome to the real Game of Thrones. The funny thing about this, I'd that this horrific event happens IN THE MIDDLE of the book. So it's even more unexpected.
I'd say that it gets easier to watch but it doesn't. No matter how many times I've seen this episode and reactions to it.... the only thing that makes it better is watching how upset people get by this scene. I think this episode is what started the whole reaction sector of RUclips. My mom is who got me into the series, she read the books and watched the show. I remember seeing "The Red Wedding" trending on Twitter and knew it had to do with Game of Thrones so I went and caught up on seasons 1-3 and read the books before season 4 came out and I've been obsessed ever since.
