Any chance you guys could list parts used in the video description with part #'s? This is obviously a pretty popular thing for Golf R's, but hunting the parts down to ensure they're correct is a nightmare. Thanks.
Porsche Macan 2.0 Left caliper: 95B615124F Right caliper: 95B615123F Pads: 95B698151H Caliper bolt: N91147601 The Audi Q5 3.0 has the exact same calipers as far as I know. Those numbers are below. That's as much as I could find, hope it helps :)
The pads will make the ultimate difference in this set up if your running a stage 1, 2 or 3 setup. 4 pot macans, the rs3 4 pots from 8p, or even the Aston Martin 4pots are similar but you can run the stock oem brake disc but get yourself a good set of pads and also hel or goodrich braided lines
Same. Finally found some used on ebay for under $200 for both shipped! Going to rebuild them, and have them powdercoated red to match the stock PP GTI brakes! Excited for these on track days and autocross with super easy pad swaps!
@@fezzlol yes modulation is good but the pedal is way lower and soft than stock. If I would do it again, I'd just save up for a stoptech kit unless the BBK is just for looks
How did it work out? Did you turn off the brake booster assists as mentioned in the posts? If you use some red rubber grease on the piston seals and put some 2 PSI RPV's inline with the front brakes you will be much happier with pedal response and feel, it also helps with pad knock. The stock brakes are way over boosted to begin with and without these adjustments it is even worse with these calipers. I also made custom cross over tubes so I could mount them with the correct orientation, for heavy track use I also recommend doing that as well. With these adjustments it is a very nice low cost brake upgrade. I have never tried those EBC yellows, seem to be a lot of mixed reviews.
Thanks for the feedback - I had read that turning the boost assist off was useful. The pads I'm using are the Pagid RSL29 for track and the Brembo OE for street use (which have both been great). I'm also running the DBA Green performance pads on the rear.
Only because the 4 piston bolt straight on. There may be a 6 piston option that fit directly but we weren’t aware of any. also cost, the 4 piston are relatively cheap and they fit underneath the 18” wheels.
Hi, How did you get the the brake line at the top for a leading caliper when they're trailing originally? Are the caliper bodies symmetrical and you've moved the LH to the RH position? Thanks
Looking into getting this set! What pads would you recommend for the street but with a couple of track days in them? Something similar to Forza FP3s for the stock golf r is what im aiming for :)
How come your old calipers didn't have the original Golf R black paint + logo? Just curious what came off the car as well as what went on it. Interesting tid bit of information, though! Glad it works. Doing this to mine. Edit: Another question, why did you need a scantool to disengage the emergency brake? Why not just hit the button in the cabin to disable it?
Perfect - no issues at all. I got a set of Goodridge lines which bolted straight up to the Macan caliper and Golf hard line fitting. It has grommits which you can attach to the shock as well.
current gen Macan not Cayenne. They are also fitted to some Audi Q5 models. It's running 10mm spacers, with the OZ wheels. Will need some kind of spacer on the stock 19" wheels.
Imagine if you ordered these parts lol You’d wait 3 months for them to send them and probably end up with the wrong parts. Should have believed the Google reviews
Hi, its been 2 years since you fitted the Macan brakes. I'd keen to know how they went for you. Thanks.

Been looking at the same caliper upgrade. Looking forward to your review of them. Thanks!

What is your long-term experience of the brake vibrating under hard braking?👍
Do you have a list of all the part numbers needed to do this upgrade?
Is this the same with a MK6 ?
It’s looks amazing Bro !!
Great Build!
Why did you choose the 4 piston caliper over any of the 6 piston Porsche calipers?
Only because the 4 piston bolt straight on. There may be a 6 piston option that fit directly but we weren’t aware of any. also cost, the 4 piston are relatively cheap and they fit underneath the 18” wheels.
I got a cc you think it those 4pot would fit?
Going this route with my 2023 Arteon R-Line 4motion.
Does the front brake caliper upgrade cause a brake light to be on due to not having the brake pad wear sensors ?
I have the same setup like this on a 2017 Tig but I have squeaking issues. Anything I should look for as they are driving me crazy
Which brake lines you used as I am planning to do same BBK upgrade for my MK2 Tiguan.
Oem macan lines work perfectly.
Do you drive a Oz Formular with 45 offset? Got the same brakes in my gti mk7 but my wheels (Motec MCR3)wont fit without spancers🙈
They have titanium brake pad shields for heat reduction for this brake caliper.

Do steel brake lines necessary when upgrade pads only?
Whitch product number do the pagid brake pads have?🙏

Are these rotors the DBA 52832 or are they the DBA 52808 off a MK6 R?
How are they holding up so far?

hello can you give a long term review on this brake?
are the stock mk7.5R 4 piston calipers?
They are indeed :)
@@SparesboxAuto did you guys do front & rear porsche calipers or just front? where did you find them for $240 each & is that AUD or USD? THANKS boys!
what happened to the stoptech calipers?
I didn't go the full way - wanted to try this option as lower cost vs. full big boy BBK which is $$$. So far this is going pretty good!
Please say diameter brake disc? 345?
345x30

When you switch the car off it most likely engages the parking brake.
How was the fitment of the stock Macan lines?
Perfect - no issues at all. I got a set of Goodridge lines which bolted straight up to the Macan caliper and Golf hard line fitting. It has grommits which you can attach to the shock as well.
Can I slap those calipers on a 340mm DBA disk on a 2013 A3 8V
345x30

You don't said nothing about abs !!! You put different diameter from rotor more big and you need programming abs !!!
