This song is so powerful. We need to keep God in our sight but he knows we fall and God has caught us everytime and he wants us to live our lives for him.

In a Bible Study last week we were reading a book by Tim Keller in which he says: “The root of every sin is a breaking of the first commandment.” In other words, in sinning, we place some desire above God's will for us, hence making what we do in the sin into an idol, something coming before God, something we honor more than we honor Him. This song is very reminiscent of that concept.
The first time I heard(saw) Remedy Drive was the music video of Daylight on a Christian Channel. Did not find the CD right away but remember where and when My Family and I did. Also did not know about the next( not sure if it is the second one or not I need to check it) bought at a Christian Book store now closed . I will watch the videos posted throughout the week. One of the questions I have , are all the guys from the first album still in the band? I know , over a decade has passed but it is always cool to see original personnel in a band sticking together. About song , I can relate because I have sinned using His name in vain. As for politicians using His name for gain , they exist in all the political parties. There are no exceptions except for non believers and those who are on the other side. My Faith has always been tested and I believe I speak for possibly a billion who have experienced that . I would say a lot more but I will leave it at that. Maybe another time . 🙏💝
THIS is, I believe, the true meaning of using His name in vain. The term society uses as a swear word is another issue in and of itself.
