- ANNOYING 180sx Dash Removal. Today we take on the annoying task of removing the dash from my 1994 Nissan 180sx Type X. It wasn't easy and it wasn't removed completely intact but it is out! I hope you all enjoy the video. Thanks for watching!

I never use chemicals on the interior, specially the dash. That's what causes the dashes to Crack and look like the grand canyon.

I expected it to be difficult and yet it still exceeded expectations.
That crack sound moment when I try to get something out makes me sweat and have like a minor stroke.
I love to see a ground up restoration on a 180/silvia/240. I fn hate not knowing where the clips are lol. Cringy haha.

I'm not 100% certain, but I think Nissan still sells that centre vent new. Theres also an after market company that makes them from metal

Hey good job. I would have got hella pissed if I broke the vent pieces too. Small shit like that always pisses me off. lol. Good job though. One time I took a dash out of my 91 integra, hella pissed me off. Good luck on gettin all the clips back haha. I ended up selling that pos.
There is a compony that makes Metal ones for the S13 Dash vents they are replacements for the dry rot plastic ones👍😊

@@maxim430 you can 3D print anything any size. Depending on the machine you can print 2x2x3 feet.. this would probably be 3 prints.
Good video Spencer, might've been easier to of just lower the steering column from the dash support side brace. Would've given you ample space.

Upgrade to metal vent.
Make pieces to fill that gap out of mesh steel. Seen it done before. Looked good.
You should have cut the hell out of the dash to get it out of the way (around those vents) then you could have chewed at what was left until you could just split the dash around the vents. Good work though!

Your consistent 'glass half empty' mentality is enervating.
I would not wish this apon my worst enemy, changing the dash is one of the worst thing you can do on any car. Make sure you put it back straight away or you will not remember how it goes back. I took the dash out on my hobby car, that was 5 years ago, not looking forward to putting it back.
Man next time take that vent piece out AFTER the dash is out of the car.
