I've got the same one, production of fog is wonderful
Heres a little tip for anyone using a fogger for a band gig. First time I used a fogger with my band I had it pointed at the dance floor which was a mistake as I flooded the whole place with fog and nobody could see a thing lol. Im using a professional unit. What i do now is i have it pointed about a foot or two away from the wall behind the drummer. The wall absorbs and controls the initial blast of the fog. The fog then slowly creeps up the wall and then makes it's way over the top of the stage area leaving you with that nice haze.
You dont need to blast it for a full 10 seconds. Just give it a few seconds here and there.
Parts for fog and snow machines can be purchased online and you can get beefier pumps. A $40 Walmart fog machine can perform as well as a chauvet machine for $200 plus. Plus homemade fog juice and snow juice is much better. Great video!
Nice look. This is helpful. I always wondered how well or not they functioned. Yes the true test is how long that pump will last. If you only use it around Halloween and clean it with a 50/50 distilled vinegar & distilled H20 to run it once a month to keep the pump running it should last. For $40 plus the timer not bad at all. I may have to think about that this year. A 1000W fog machine of any type needs lots of ice in the trash can or large cooler vortex chillers to be effective otherwise it outputs fog too fast to get it chilled. You took it outside don't so is it battery operated or Did you use an extension cord?
I think I paid $30 for mine at BJ's and it came with that fog timer. Not very powerful since it takes a bit of time to warm up and had a short cycle time.
Still, for $30 this sounds like a good deal.

a good video as I bought a 400w from Spirit last year and it worked perfectly for that night, I cleaned it out with Vinegar about 2 Months ago and it also worked well. 2 days ago I tried it and ZERO happened but heat. now this is the 4th cheap one I have bought and just today received my "Chauvet 700w fogger and never will I go back to cheap ones again
It’s the low voltage pumps that fail. They’re $15 on Amazon
get a 400 wat one from jaycar and they diliver a biger puff of smoke but it takes 3 min to heat up the only differnce is the high powerd pump

i get the same one every 2 years after 2 years the pump usually goes out but if you know how you could buy a better pump for it so the smoke will be a little thicker and there will be more you should also get froggys freezin fog thats the best i think if you want low lying fog
For $15 I’d rather replace the pump than the whole machine

I got a 600 watt fog machine and got the same results as this 1000 watt one, maybe it's the fluid

I received a NEW, UNUSED machine, as i was looking thru it, noticed there are TWO DRILLED SCREWS GOING INTO THE RESERVOIR. Is that how they come?
I just bought the same one. I wonder if you pointed it slight downwards if it would stay lower, as it touches the cool ground.
Good suggestion. This does help a bit but the fog still tends to rise when the air is cool around Halloween. Stays low in July and August though!
Did you seriously not try it out when you got it, instead waited a whole year?
Just made sure it worked after I bought it, but didn't test it out properly until the next year :)

Any continuous foggers? The 400w you get about 10 seconds of fog for 3 minutes of reheat
Continuous would need high wattage heating block with low pump speed.
Are they supposed to make noise when you use them? Or smell I just got one from a couple down the street and they said it works but I'm scared using it cos it was heating up and it made a weird humming noise
I think it's normal, mine does too. There is a scent for the fog juice but you can buy scents such as cotton candy, mildew and burning leaves seperatly

Use the FM-1000 watt one time ... never worked after !
I thought the same thing had happened with this one also. Took it out a year later and it started working again.

I don't think they are, I have one it's nice but not worth 80. I have 2 1500w foggers from Amazon that I got for $99 on sale which it goes on frequently.
