    Legacy of Tendulkar is far far greater than that of Kohli...even if he breaks his record, Tendulkar will always be a masterclass of skill and mental fortitude. I started disliking Kohli towards the later stage when he did things on field more for the camera and flexing than what the game desired out of him.

      Yes, that match in 2003 was next level, the build up n excitement was amazing and the show he had put on was simply majestic. My interest in cricket also developed in 1991 when i first saw sachin bat n score quicker than others, before that cricket was boring to me n i had no interest

    With a broken nose, he kept on playing and saved the test and series for India. He was the wonder boy before coming to this series, but against an attack like that (imran, wasim , waqar, qadir) he couldnt do much, except this innings where he showed his grit and determination to stay and the rest is history.

    Thank you for uploading . This innings was a vague memory in my mind . When India were 37 for 4 there was real danger of a loss and we as kids were delighted that India is showing a fight through sachin and Sidhu. Still remember we eventually scored 234 for 7. Also after reaching fifty sachin shyly raised his bat. No extravagant jumps or celebrations .

    Just think these days batsmen have only fear about good bowling..but those days they had fear of death..with so much of pressure and that too after getting hit on the face nd facing the deadliest bowling attack this kid went on to score an half century....he doesn't sledge anyone ..respects umpires decision even though he's not out..carried the whole team for an era..

    Watching it live and felt so bad about 16 years old kid when 2Ws were at their peak , great Imran also mentioned that he was concerned of him... but the kid overcames his fear and then became one of the greatest batsman of all times.

    Those signature backfoot strokes with a heavy bat were there. Pitches, especially overseas had more bounce and bowlers were quick then and the backfoot play was a key element of batsmenship.
