      This is the baby log yard yard Dan. The other mill has over 2 million bdft ft. And 100 000 a day being trucked in it’s crazy other there the majority of the logs go to them

      We will get to it lol. We cut between 30 and 50 000 bdft a week. Depending on species With the smaller hardwood around 30k. But. Aspen cottonwood beech or pine or spruce we cut 50. Plus the gsngsaw cuts bundles of cants as well. 5 or 6000 bdft more in bought cants everyday. The headsaw just can’t keep up to the Brewer Gangsaw. It eats wood lol

    Can you not trust the logger to quote a price for their logs?

      Do you think you could trust others on 30 million board feet a year?

    That's a lot of toothpicks. Will it put you back on schedule, or are you still behind the eight ball?

      That’s a small day of logs hauled for these mills they do double that on a regular day

      The logs aren’t really the problem. There’s not enough hours in the day

      There’s so many coming in at once there’s no where to put them and they gotta get scaled. Welll I won’t even show you the bandmill log yard. They gotta get scaled 100 000 bdft coming in a day lol it’s totally crazy. And it will be like that until spring

      Another 7 truckloads came in today. The yard is so full there’s 14 truck loads out there now. Our loader driver had to run the debarker today so no logs got put away

      @ so where does the wood come from?

    • @TheWildWestMill
      @TheWildWestMill  16 дней назад

      @JohnNaturkach Within 200km of the sawmill. There’s huge govt woodlot 1000s of hectres and private woodlots on every farm We will haul from further away but there’s needs to be many many truckloads for that. There’s 2 mills on this property. The bandmill mill and pallet mill. Then there’s a 3rd mill. Another band mill about 80km away in another city. Same owner. My boss has so many woodlots bought ahead this yr. And there’s landings with wood on them cut 8 months ago that havnt been picked up yet.
