Glad you liked it. You're right, it has its differences. I tried making this acoustic easy to play, like the electric guitars I've made. But a lot of it comes down to stuff like needing a bigger string size and having more neck relief than electric.
@@buildsomethingawesome From what I've seen of acoustic builds, there are a number of tools and jigs specific to building them. The science of bracing, and resonance... There are difficulties to overcome that electrics just don't have to deal with. I admire acoustic builders, and the process is fascinating.
Yes, the jigs are what take a lot of the time on a first build for sure. A proper thickness sander would also go a long ways. I also wish you could just put a tune-omatic bridge on an acoustic to help with setup but it probably would dampen the sound.
Awesome build man! The guitar looks great!
Thanks Chris! I've been following your builds on instagram too. Great work man 👍
Saw this over and Amateur Luthier, amazing work mate, love the ingenuity with the gobars, slotting, all of it. New sub from me!

Very impressive build!
Thank you so much for subscribing! 👍
1st build. Wow, you did really well. I love the inlays on the sound hole and the timber looks great.
Thanks, first acoustic yes. The inlays on the soundhole were difficult on account of all the pointy pieces. Thanks for leaving a comment 🙂 👍
It's beauty!
Thank you!
Really nice work
Thank you! 😊 Always nice to meet a fellow luthier.
@@buildsomethingawesome you guys that do acoustics amaze me. It’s a totally different animal. Fascinating to watch the process.
