- I spent a couple hours knocking out the main modifications required for making a semi-SD style Zaku II out of the RE/100 Zaku II FZ.

Love seeing these types of vids. I’m planning to start customizing and modding kits this year and these help a lot.
You make all the technical problem solving, sound easy that I wanna try another SD mashup. Tried my hand in a HG/SD Unicorn. Unlike lengthening parts, shortening feels like a whole new game...maybe because it was an HG 😅 . Anyway, this is looking good and can't wait to see further progress. 👍😁

Didn't expect to like the final product, the more squatted and bulky proportions reminded me of a votoms. A shoulder strapped rocket pod and scopes on the mono eye might do the trick. When I finally get my skills to decent enough level, I'd probably do one of these in the colors of the red shoulder battalion.

Oh this...THIS. Im not happy about this. This is a perfect analogy to a car crash, you cant look and at the same time cant look away. Im really curious about this one and how you'll finish it as i love the FZ design (im working on my own atm, just need to paint it).

Did you consider using one of the large capsule toy heads? I have one and it measures about 7cm x 10cm. It may work a little better.

Are you going to shorten the lower arms and lower legs as well? But maybe it'll all work once its all done
Maybe you can also use the mobile suit head..the one that is an egg at first til you form it into a mobile suit head.

dude just used sticky tack to put an SD head on a HG body this is a lil more involved
If I had that particular Zaku I would make it WW2 themed (and yes I'm talking about making it a german WW2 Soldier Zaku, but without the iconic part of course cause "triggering for certain people" that can't get over that was the was past and not realizing it's a custom figure design I thought of.) But I well put some red where of course the iconic symbol would be, but like said without putting the symbol on the red areas
