The CGI in this movie held up fantastically.
Right? Other than the greenscreen effect that Naomi has around her this doesn't look dated at all. Crazy how some things age so well while current films can look so fake.

Without a doubt the #1 best fight scene in King Kong 2005 considering that it shows Kong fighting not one but three V-Rexes. Add to the fact that he does his best to protect Ann from getting eaten by them makes this scene even more iconic and unforgettable.

Honestly, this scene holds up so well after all these years. Not just the visuals, but the way the fight went. The T-rexes play around each other, Kong is circling around often to avoid bites, protect her, and all the while using every limb at his disposal.
Makes Kong in the monsterverse look slow by comparison. Also, jesus him picking up the T-rex with one arm is nuts lol.

Peter Jackson's King Kong is way better than the monsterverse's. He doesn't need to be 100m tall, an axe or Godzilla's influence to show how badass he was.
Not only that, but Kong was both outnumbered and was handicapped for much of that fight, as he was fighting the three V-rexes off (and holding his own perfectly fine) with one arm while holding Ann with the other. He's fighting what amounts to suped-up versions of T-rexes on steroids while, again, handicapped, and is still whooping their collective asses. 😂

I had to come back and comment on one of the spectacular scenes in Peter Jackson’s version of King Kong. This movie really did deliver to its audience like wow. And the animation is literally ahead of its time.

@Dashawn Ford Well, that's a matter of opinion. To my eyes, it has the same production quality as the LOTR film he worked on a few years earlier. And there are some scenes in this film that are pretty bad in terms of quality, e.g. the brontosaurus chase, that part looks pretty bad. But I do agree, some parts of this film do look good.

I find it crazy how Optimus Prime is a gorilla in beast wars, and this fight reminds me of that forest battle where Optimus fought three decepticons by himself to protect a Sam. Just like how Kong is fighting three dinosaurs to protect Ann. Both in natural settings.

Actually, it was a reference to the original 1933 King Kong's T-Rex fight scene (ya can find it on RUclips if you're not familiar, but it's definitely some rough production). He does the exact same thing: opens and closes the monsters jaw a few times, then grabs it by the upper jaw and shakes it, then finally roars and goes about his business.
