Are you planning on steering Estee Lauder in a direction of clean beauty? It is not a beauty line that is known for being "safe" in terms of ingredients/chemicals etc. If it is a priority for you perhaps as a leader in the company you could have some influence.
@@nikayazdani2162 I agree that the packaging needs to be more sustainable, but sometimes items labeled as "biodegradable" can be pretty misleading and aren't necessarily better than recyclable
Couldn't agree more. I love Estee Lauder products, but my worry is that they are not that good for every day use because the ingredients are not clean. Interesting Violette's thoughts on that?
My absolute favorite of the series so far...a down to earth woman with a pleasant voice, not trying to convince us of anything. I love the vibe between you two, so playful, pas au serieux.!! I would like to add one thing I read once and that is to avoid putting turmeric on your eyebrows/hair as it is a depilatory/hair growth inhibitor. Apparently it is a popular hair remover in India. It is great for melasma though! Can't wait to try this out! Merci!
I loveee this, these recipies which are not super expensive, give us to all women the opportunity to pamper our skin tooo.. It doesn't matter the budget!! Congratulations to both of you!!!
Actually these ingredients are quite expensive and oils can go rancid very quickly so you need to use them within a short period of time. In Australia for example the rosehip oil and sea buckthorn oils retail for around $30 each. Manuka honey $50, French pink clay...another $30, avocado oil $20.....you get my drift.
jazmine, the costs are based on organic cold pressed oils as recommended by Caroline. I think they are beautiful ingredients but they are not inexpensive. I've costed the initial purchase of all of the ingredients at around $180.
This is fantastic! I loved the idea of the video, the thought process behind it and the energy of you two collaborating. Thank you! Keep offering your knowledge x
This is wonderful! Two questions: Can you make this ahead and store it, or should it be single use batches? And, for those of us with sensitive skin, are there ingredients we should avoid?
You are both so beautiful, I could cry. I am looking forward to this series as I am an esthetician and can use this information in my practice. Sending love from Louisiana
I love that rosewater it is my favorite too. And turmeric always. I use turmeric almost everyday on my face or cooking. I would like to understand different clays better. I use kaolin or bentonite the most. What are the properties of French rose clay? It is a gorgeous color 🌹
Hi Violette, so grateful for you channel, it's so rich of tips and very welcoming to all different kind of beauty. I'd like to ask Caroline how to treat naturally adult (I'm 35) acne on the cheeks (the low side, not the upper towards the cheekbone) when all the conventional treatments have failed: there are some spots that keep coming back in the same place, even after a month of clear skin, it seems it's impossibile to get rid of them. Thank you, bisous
I have a different type of clay would that be cool to just replace the type of clay powder mask you are using mine is the aztec clay mask that is pretty good too
Hi 😊 Ich would love to know what I should do with my dry but very red face I am very pale but my whole face looks like i‘ve put too much blush on 😬 Is there any key ingredient for that issue?
there were various oils used for the mask, but I have heard that applying essential oils directly to the face without diluting it can cause a skin reaction. is that true? if so, is it true for every oil or some oils?
Caroline did not use any essential oils in the mask as Violette was pregnant at the time. The oils she used were carrier oils, she mentions this at the last step in mixing the mask. It's important to make the distinction, essential oils are very volatile and can be irritating.
this is a really beautiful mask, but i think some of these ingredients will be very expensive. Sea buckthorn oil and manuka honey alone will create a very high-end diy mask. I would like to try it, but i will probably try it, but an organic facial would run about the same.

well Caroline first of all curcuma and cumin are two separate things k... You can't just say you're a clean beauty alchemist and then drop "curcumin" all casually
Ines, curcumin is a compound in turmeric and has nothing to do with cumin which is seed of a completely different plant. Caroline was using the French "curcumine" to describe curcumin and did not mention cumin at all.
Sweetie, she did not mention cumin --as you state--once! (was this a typo on your part?) She said that in French, the root she is using, turmeric, is called Curcuma (also its Latin name). Curcuminoids are the family of active compounds in the root, of which the strongest is called curcumin. As herbal medicine it is important to make the distinction, but here we are talking about the topical properties of the root, which still contains curcumin. Here is an article from a medical journal to clarify: www.peertechz.com/Dermatology-Clinical-Research/IJDCR-3-120.php

Deanne Underwood totally agree, and also biodegradable packaging or refillable. Recyclable doesn’t cut it anymore

As long as brands like TF and CT are killing it I doubt it sadly. Maybe they should try at least. If the customers would stop buying they might try
Yes! Plus, isn’t it time to give up the animal testing? I feel it’s kind of shocking that brands are still doing this.
Great video as usual Violette! And (a very late) congratulations on having your baby girl!❤️
If we decide to do this in larger quantity to use it several times, how many days can we conserve it in the fridge?

Is there a substitute for the sloughing agent? I have rosacea, and cannot use any gritty exfoliants.
another day, another exceptional video. thank you!!
love this! i think this is going to by fave series on the channel.
Loved this video! I would love if she could show how to create a detox mask to remove black spots! Thank you xx
I loved this video! So simple but I felt fresher just by watching it.
I love that rosewater it is my favorite too. And turmeric always. I use turmeric almost everyday on my face or cooking. I would like to understand different clays better. I use kaolin or bentonite the most. What are the properties of French rose clay? It is a gorgeous color 🌹
I love this series you’ve done in your channel
I loved that video but I have one concern. Is it true that You shouldn't use metal tools when working with clay?
I've read that too, supposedly, it takes away the properties of the clay
It also takes away the properties of the honey!!! Definitily should be used wooden tools....
Wonderful! What would you recommend to help restore elasticity to aging skin? Can anything be done to improve it?
I love this idea for a series. Looking forward to the others.
Love this all natural DIY recipe! Violette scraping the mask off her face with a teaspoon is iconic 😂
Caroline is right up my alley 🤗 love it

Linda Joy thank you so much! I appreciate you sharing and providing information about the different kinds of oils!
I would still watch the series if it was all in French. Their voices are so soothing.
Totally loved this!!
Totally loved it !!
Please, what is the name of this song? I hear Je fais ce que je veux, but cannot find it and Shazam is no help :(
i've read, that this song was specially composed for violettes new video series
Great video !! Thanks violette!
Great video :) If i could have a suggestion or a question, i suppose that talking a bit on acne/acne prone skin would be a nice topic :)
Could she do a video on a mask or remedy for cystic acne? It is so hard for me to take care of my acne prone skin.
Hello😀 what is the name of Caroline's brand the was the first of it's kind released in France??
Doux me

Yes!!! ❤️❤️❤️😊
That kitchen though 💕💕💕💕
is it a big difference if we use the powdered tumeric?
In India whenever we make a mask we always use fresh turmeric "haldi" not the powder. Don't ask me why haha
Love it!!!
I loved this!
Love glowing Violette
Hi Violette, where are your cute earrings from? I want to get a pair for my friend she would love them 😍
@@alexiawagner2514 She did not

Caroline- Didn't you have a cooking show at one time?
Wait I thought this was the curly haired chicks kitchen
All these ingredients can potentially irritate your skin. Stay away from it. Ugh.
