I played with a tour pro once...he was a member of our country club growing up and he came home and I just played 3 holes with him...I was on the 3rd and he asked if he could jump in for the last 6 on the front...mind-blowing...all his strikes sounded gorgeous, ball flight perfect, had control of any shot shape he wanted and trajectory, green reading out of this world...everything he did was just light years ahead of what I could imagine (I'm about an 8 HC)...best golfer I've ever played with by far...now keep in mind, this "tour pro" wasn't a big name, he had a special temporary membership and played in a few events, never made the cut...in other words he was one of the WORST ones out there playing in those events...and still he humiliated our home course like he was playing mini golf...it's unfathomable how good those guys are

    Kim: Uhhhh.....
Peter: It's not like these actually count, no one's that bothered but...
    Kim: Tennis

I'm far from a Pro or even a single digit handicap.... but from playing sports all my life, baseball ( little league thru high school ), then playing softball ( and NSA/ASA/Utrip tournaments ) and even bowling ( yes i did that too and even a few regional PBA tournaments ), the level of practice you need to put in to get to the higher levels is unreal.... and some people no matter what they do will never make it to X level.. like with softball, the highest level i played at for NSA/ASA/Utrip for tournaments was "C" which is right in the middle of the pack when it comes to the lower levels and the majors... As for Golf, i watched a good video a couple days ago from a guy who is a "pro" and he talks about what it took for him to get to where he is.. and he said, one year, he practiced 6 hours a day... the next year was 7 hours a day, and then 8 hours a day....

My Dad, 3 hole in ones since i was born. 4 total. Lowest round 70. lol My average Drive 283 , his 229. His 150-160 club 9 wood/7 wood , mine 9iron/8iron ....
Hole in ones are about luck. His are all with woods. I have hit the hole, i even shattered a flag once lol, and i’ve landed directly behind a hole spun back off the green, couldn’t figure that one out when i got to where my divot placement was lol on holes edge middle of cup on the back side. He’s also never seen any of the 4 go in.
