Well l mean the ruleset of any tournament is ultimately up to the people running the tournament, and even the general/standard ruleset is something people within the community have to decide on at some point. l remember at the end of smash4 that some tournaments started running 3 stocks per game whereas 2 stocks had been the standard for almost the entirety of smash4. So in a way, any tournament could run their own "custom" tournament rulesets. What would be an example of something you'd like to be included in theoretical "custom balance" rulesets?
@@Sponsie1000 Like there’s a mechanic in the game that allows you to artificially increase or decrease a strength multiplier for any fighter from -30% to +30%. Again, extremely far from perfect. You can only change the multiplier in increments of 10%, so we unfortunately don’t have much wiggle room. That being said, we at least have been gifted a tool (albeit not an amazing one) that gives us more control over balance issues. I say we should at least try to use it.
