I think the most frustrating part of smash online is how people are really just too braindead to understand the concepts of fear or respect. They just know mash, rushdown, camp, projectile spam, wave-land, eat hot chip, and lie.
At least for me, the online performance usually punishes anything like thoughtful play. It's better to just have a hitbox out all the time. Every now and then I get that golden connection and it is a totally different game.
@@tobyvision Yup, most games I get paired with a laggy masher that just wins because online is fair and balanced, but there are times when I get a really good connection and will play *multiple* game with that person for the sole fact that I actually felt playing competently mattered, even when I lose.

Warlock punch is more of a ledge-guarding mixup tool. You can also use it to punish get ups and also recoveries that place them over the ledge if they have bad spacing like Sephiroth long up-B, Bayo, Wolf side-B, Ness, and Lucina/Marth. I also sometimes throw out a reverse warlock when players start rushing me down a lot and throw short hop attacks that land them on the opposite side of me (like Roy short hop FAir). I have a Luigi video on my channel that shows this kind of ledge getup mixup
How much i play someone depends on how good they are. If its a dogshit player like 90% of online players, regardless of if i win or lose, i one n done them. If its a good player, regardless of if i win or lose, i rematch them as long as i can, because fighting good players in any game is a rarity, so you gotta take advantage of finding one as much as you can.
which is why the points system sucks because if you lose enough to them because the system benefits constantly winning you have to rag on some really low level players to grind GSP back up
@@obsidiancrow450 which, coincidentally, is where most of the laggy and scummy players reside. Low gsp is a trap, because if you arent good enough to properly counter the scummy plays, or if you get unlucky and constantly face laggy players, you get trapped in low gsp with no way out.
I think it's because the main Panda channel often uploads videos with overlapping content as Panda | Marss. There's a recent video with Little Z and Esam and all those guys with a lot of Ganon play.
Jumping on an opponent who is in an animation or shield will give you a “phantom footstool” which gives you the jumó like you did a footstool along with the intangibility of one for a moment. Useful for mixups like that. All marss did was press jump on Ness shield when he was landing without a jump.
Having the smash music playing very clearly while also adding music and sound effects on top made this really hard to listen to, but I liked the effects added nonetheless!
