Great vid, especially giving out the spanner & socket sizes 👍.
A couple of pointers for you & your viewers:
1 When unscrewing the track rod end, count the number of turns coming off. When you fit the new one, count the same amount of turns & it should be in the same position as the old one.
2 Removing the tie rod would have been a lot easier if you would have turned the steering wheel on full lock, the tie rod would have been further out.
Keep up the great work, picture quality very clear.

I have a Corsa D LE and always done the work on it myself over the years, pads, discs - yearly service, etc. Never done a tie rod and track rod end on any car I've owned because I heard It was bad to do...but now I've seen that tool! I will be doing my own in the future. Great vid mate.

A couple of years ago, I did the exact same job. Exact parts and exact tool as well, unfortunately the teeth on the tool were not sharp enough and I spent at least 10 minutes trying to get a bite before I realised the problem. I Couldn't be arsed to return it for a replacement cos I would have probably got a very similar tool back. I had to file each tooth to a sharper point before it would work. It then worked superbly and without it, I don't now how I would have done the job without it.
The only difference was I cleaned everything before I started and it made everything a bit easier. WD40 and a wire brush, and then copper grease on the rebuild. Then off to the garage for a wheel alignment.

Really useful video, as was the one you did on rear brake shoes - both jobs I need to do soon. Haven't had the Astra H for long so well filmed and well explained videos like this are a great help. The two steering systems are TRW and ZF, the latter is usually fitted to sports and upper spec models I believe. Mine is TRW like yours. Even finding out that I can replace that crimp clip (what ever they're called) with a simple jubilee clip is a help. For the tracking where you did the quarter turn adjust, is it one side a quarter of turn further in to the track rod end and a quarter out on the other side?
