Thanks for sticking to Five Elder Stars. I'm mildly furious by their decision to translate the chapter title to "Planetfall". I know "Starfall" isn't a real term as well, but it sounds so much better than Planetfall in my opinion. It just flows better when said out loud.
Stars sounds better no question, but I think Luffy as the Sun God would be the same as a star. Planets on the other hand orbit their star. Gorosei -> Im I think that makes more sense thematically. I can see it making more sense, but 5 Elder stars sounds so good
@@obad7633star can be synonymous with celestial bodies or planets especially in Asian languages and the name elder stars fits better for what the theme, context , general English/Asian languages byplay and lore around them is implying and them being "celestial" dragons just makes better sense but the chapter title actually fits better as planetfall based on their names and how they arrive from up above in their physical location and their status as supreme leaders and celestial bodies ala elder stars
I read a theory that stated that at least two elders might get defeated based off a cosmic event about to happen in real life... There's about to be a planetary alignment, and 2 of the elder star's planets are not present for it, and the theory believe they'll be defeated. I think it was sandworm and pigman who were said to go down though... So I don't think we'll see all 5 Geezers defeated here and now, but at least one of them might just take serious damage and the rest will tactically retreat with their wounded comrade
Another fun thing I noticed about the Elders having a relation to Wano is that in Wano, there was a fox named Onimaru who was once cared for by Ushimaru the human. When that fox ate a Human-Human Fruit, he started going by Gyukimaru. Ushi + Oni = Gyuki as we recently saw with Saturn!
Personally I think egghead is going to end just like little garden, with Dorry and Broggy staying back in order to let the strawhats continue their journey
Not a chance. Sanji and jinbe will leave with the straw hats, and Luffy and Zoro will leave with the giants. Or Zoro will also escape with strawhat but I doubt it
What if the reason Saturn is so small is because their invincibility lies within their size. The more beat up they are the smaller they get, eventually leading to their defeat.

Considering the Dragon hype is soooooooooooo difficult to pay off right now, the only way I can see it being successful is if he 1 v 4’s the gorossei (with no Nsjuro) or 1 v (something’s) the God’s Knights. Because bruh Dragon needs to do something ridiculously epic (which should include saving Garp)
I hope we see the god knights vs the revolutionaries in a mini arc, that way we can see both in action with their powers and kill two birds with one stone instead of having to focus on each separately
The actual answer of Zorro would need to be: "What is Africa?" but granted Ussop likened the highest dunes of Alabasta to the Andes and greek Mythology just exists for no reason.
Ethan, there IS an equivalent to 'Hoshi' in English: Orbitals, which can be planetoids, stars, net comets, satellites, etc. However, Five Elder Orbitals lacks the gravitas it would in Japanese.
The recent chapters and the demon elders has got me thinking more about how Shanks refuses to eat a devil fruit, or for any of his crew to have consumed one... casts a new light on why he was so annoyed at Luffy too. Perhaps he knows some shadowy secret about devil fruits?
In this case Hoshi almost directly turns into celestial body, but the kanji above it denotes burning, so its quite literally the five elder stars, since burning celestial bodies are stars.
I think that if the 5 elders are defeated. Imu revealing themselves as the ruler that sits on the empty throne would be something that could happen and it would also cause some chaos
So something that has me concerned. The Gorosei still haven't had their fruits revealed but are just flat out called "The *insert yokai here* " imagine for a moment if they're actually just demons masquerading as humans.
This was an option ever since Saturn transformed. At least since then many have wondered if they're even humans with DF powers but instead real demons who pretend to be humans.
7:58 In Spanish we have the word "astro" that I guess might have a similar meaning. It can be a star, planet, asteroid... In English it is translated as a celestial body. I'd call them the five elder celestial bodies. Weird that nobody has used that name yet
Zoro never wore his bandana but was panting in 1109, admitted Lucci was strong and had to use 3-sword style with ACoC to defeat him. Yep, he was truly never serious alright.
@@mineapple6726, even if we agree with your nonsense, the fact that he only just decided to use 3 swords and ACOC outright proves Zoro wasn't going all out until then. You literally just said it and then denied. 😂
I thought about what creature Imu could be based off in terms of his/her form and my best assumption would be a Manticore. If we are to believe that the arrows that killed Cobra came from Imu then it would make sense? It has the head of a human, the body of a lion and the tail of a scorpion or a tail of venomous spines similar to porcupine quills. There are some accounts that the spines can be launched like arrows. It eats its victims whole, using its three rows of teeth, and leaves no bones behind. Now maybe for Imus slender body type it'd be hard to think it could be a manticore but I thought about these monstrous creatures or demons and none of them really fit the arrow attack unless Imu is a God instead of a demon? But knowing Oda, Imu will turn out to be a toenail clipper devil fruit or something.
3:58 I think that imu’s yokai is the enenra yokai which is known for its smoke tendrils, which this answer is purely based on because the tendrils and how goopy he looks
To summarise what's been happening as briefly as possible: *Very deep breath* The Straw Hats end up in the future land with Bonney, from that whole Worst Generation thing, and learn that Vegapunk is seven people instead of one. After some shenanigans involving Kuma, who turns out to be Bonney's dad and the kindest human ever, the crew is caught in a conspiracy to kill Vegapunk. They figure it out, one of the Vegapunks was leaking info, and fight and beat CP-0 easily. Meanwhile Kuma is rushing to the island, too. The matines catch wind of the crap that's been going on and one old man magical girls himself into a demon spider and fights everyone and orders a buster call. Meanwhile more fighting. Kuma arrives and saves Bonney. The giants arrive and start saving everyone. Luffy eats and beats up the old man. Also Kizaru is there but not anymore. Zorro beats up a kitten.
4:10 back when devil fruits we're first getting explained they were referred to as incarnations of the sea devil. I predict that the five elders and emu are the sea devils or at least the remainder of that race. Like the lunarians they had inherent otherworldly abilities. Other people of the ancient world saw their abilities and became extremely jealous and had the will to turn them into magical fruits. If not seeing an example firsthand, how would someone be able to create some of those odd fruit powers?
Hear me out... The Rokushiki techniques might represent The Five Elders and Imu (Like Ethan may represent Sky Walk and Saturn may represent Finger Pistol)
It took being called mosshead to unleash the finishing blow, and Usopp stopping the Sunny was cool also Dorry with Broggy saving Luffy, just like they did at Little Garden too.
I dont see Luffy defeating the five elders in this arc, but I could see Akainu rebelling against the WG in the future when he finds out the elders are demons and him defeating them with the other admirals/vice admirals
I VERY rarely find ZERO grounds for an argument but recency bias for egghead is crazy. Kuma backstory, god valley, all five elders face and power reveal, and possibly void lore too and it’s not even over
i think ethan vs brook makes more sense they are both skeletal being with ice powers and death related (his horse form seems to be a bakotsu or a horse that burned to death)
To build off the idea of the Gorosei destroying Egghead (or more specifically the Labophase) to stop the broadcast, only to get duped by it being sent from somewhere else, I think that Vegapunk is using the ten minute time limit to draw in the Gorosei in order to expose them to the world via live feed. If the info was dropped immediately, they would have probably just sat back and been like "Well there's nothing we can do about it, may as well stay here" whereas if it was being released in one hour, they may have been like "Oh, the marines can cut the signal by then." But a ten minute window of time puts pressure on the Gorosei and forces them to act. They all appear on Egghead to destroy it and stop the broadcast, only to be caught on camera by visual Den Den Mushi and shown to the entire world, which may cause revolts all over and give the Revolutionary Army a leg-up.
The problem is Vegapunk never planned for the Gorosei to invade Egghead. He just planned to reveal the truth if he was murdered. Additionally, Devil Fruits are so common that the whole world seeing the Gorosei's Devil Fruit forms is really not a big deal.
so in yesterdays episodes we see vegapunk in the ohara flashback in elbaph researching the books and he sees saul. I think sauls the man marked by flames but we over looked it and they're not flames but burns from the ice after being frozen by aokiji. hence why hes covered in bandages oda's still hiding that info until we officially reach elbaph. itd be a cool way to foreshadow it in the anime bc if im correct we never saw saul there in the manga
What did you expect the elders transformations to be, mine were: Saturn:ushi-oni, a yokai ox spider demon. Topman:hekatonkheire, a greek ancient monster with hundreds of arms. Ethanbaron:naga, divine snakes in hinduism. Marcus:the jersey devil, a cursed flying goat demon. Ju peter:legion, a collection of many demons in someones body.
I don't like how Elder Planets sound either, but it makes thematic sense if you think they fear the return of the Sun God since planets are meant to orbit the sun
If Devon didn't exist my guess would be a Tenko which is a heavenly fox but in this case would be a twisted version of that. Another one that could possibly fit but might be stretching it would be a Nekomata mainly because Nekomata are said to have the power of Necromancy and if so maybe the reason the elders regenerate the way they do is because they work similar to skeletal zombies where no mater what dmg you do to them they will not go down as long as the necromancer or curse that brings them to life is dealt with. Also Nekomata are born from grudges the stronger the grudge the more powerfull the Yokai is and Imu in particular seems to have something against at least the owner of a certain giant straw hat.
Agree with the "repetition is boring" statement. My belief is, that the 5 Elders survive and in the big battle Luffy will face Imu and therefore a fresh new fight, while the 5 elders are figthing other strawheads or pirates.
What if the Five Elders are supposed to be called "The Five Elder Celestial Bodies"? I'm like 90% sure this applies to both stars and planets, and it sounds cool

Personally I think egghead is going to end just like little garden, with Dorry and Broggy staying back in order to let the strawhats continue their journey
i am used to the german Dub of the One Piece Anime where those two giants are called by the names Boogie and Woogie...

If Zoro were to be included in the Gorosei action I don’t think there would be as much tension. I think the Lucci fight was dragged out just to literally make space in the story for other events to play out.
I wonder if Kong will ever be an important part of the story.
probably not. That guy's retired.
@@Faude18 he just isn't Fleet Admiral anymore but he got promoted to Commander in Chief. He isn't retired.
@@Faude18he's not retired. He got promoted from marine fleet admiral to the position of commander in chief of the world governament. Basically Sengoku/Sakazuki (so the marines), the cp and the warlords were/are under his command. Of course he still has to obey to the celestial dragons and the Gorosei, but he is not your usual retired old man, he is the normal human with most power in the world just below the celestial dragons
Kong is a bum and highly doubt it
Considering the Dragon hype is soooooooooooo difficult to pay off right now, the only way I can see it being successful is if he 1 v 4’s the gorossei (with no Nsjuro) or 1 v (something’s) the God’s Knights. Because bruh Dragon needs to do something ridiculously epic (which should include saving Garp)
Sanji: what a burden, does he not know that leapords are from Africa?

Great material for the abridged version of One Piece we can't do without getting sued into oblivion because we're having too much fun.
The Planet/Star also happens in other media. In Final Fantasy 14, the various worlds here are called Stars too cuz of the same issue.
I hope we see the god knights vs the revolutionaries in a mini arc, that way we can see both in action with their powers and kill two birds with one stone instead of having to focus on each separately

Ethan, there IS an equivalent to 'Hoshi' in English: Orbitals, which can be planetoids, stars, net comets, satellites, etc. However, Five Elder Orbitals lacks the gravitas it would in Japanese.
Maybe Law’s sword’s cursed in the sense it couldn’t beat Blackbeard’s Offscreen Haki.
The recent chapters and the demon elders has got me thinking more about how Shanks refuses to eat a devil fruit, or for any of his crew to have consumed one... casts a new light on why he was so annoyed at Luffy too. Perhaps he knows some shadowy secret about devil fruits?
Headcanon: the pig will be the first one defeated by luffy because he will get hungry during the fight and motivated to roast him in an open flame.
Excellent
Centaurs! Did everyone just forget that Frankie was a centaur?
For a second there, I really thought that was Usopp in the thumbnail.🤣
In this case Hoshi almost directly turns into celestial body, but the kanji above it denotes burning, so its quite literally the five elder stars, since burning celestial bodies are stars.
This is the Penguinz0 title of All Time
I think that if the 5 elders are defeated. Imu revealing themselves as the ruler that sits on the empty throne would be something that could happen and it would also cause some chaos
So something that has me concerned. The Gorosei still haven't had their fruits revealed but are just flat out called "The *insert yokai here* " imagine for a moment if they're actually just demons masquerading as humans.
we had situations like this a couple of times throughout the story already tho.
@@axedrel211We most definitely haven't 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨
This was an option ever since Saturn transformed. At least since then many have wondered if they're even humans with DF powers but instead real demons who pretend to be humans.
@@GourSmith might be referring to Kaidou where it took so long to confirm if he was a fruit user

7:58 In Spanish we have the word "astro" that I guess might have a similar meaning. It can be a star, planet, asteroid... In English it is translated as a celestial body. I'd call them the five elder celestial bodies. Weird that nobody has used that name yet
Zoro never put his Bandana on. The only and most obvious sign that he gets serious.
He didn't wear it in the fight with Kuma but, I get what you mean
Zoro never wore his bandana but was panting in 1109, admitted Lucci was strong and had to use 3-sword style with ACoC to defeat him.
Yep, he was truly never serious alright.
@@mineapple6726, even if we agree with your nonsense, the fact that he only just decided to use 3 swords and ACOC outright proves Zoro wasn't going all out until then. You literally just said it and then denied. 😂
Lucci in his zoan animal form in a kitty carrier held by Kaku is something I never expected to see.
Wonder if there's a whole different category of fruits. God fruits instead of devil. Could see the God knights eating God fruits
3:58 I think that imu’s yokai is the enenra yokai which is known for its smoke tendrils, which this answer is purely based on because the tendrils and how goopy he looks
“where there is Smoke, there is fire.”
Spot on review as always, especially the ending cause I truly feel like egghead island arc as whole has us all feeling the same!! Lol
11:46 "Koomer"
To summarise what's been happening as briefly as possible:
*Very deep breath*
The Straw Hats end up in the future land with Bonney, from that whole Worst Generation thing, and learn that Vegapunk is seven people instead of one.
Lilith is not kicking Brokk's balls, she's kicking his shin/knee
4:10 back when devil fruits we're first getting explained they were referred to as incarnations of the sea devil. I predict that the five elders and emu are the sea devils or at least the remainder of that race. Like the lunarians they had inherent otherworldly abilities. Other people of the ancient world saw their abilities and became extremely jealous and had the will to turn them into magical fruits. If not seeing an example firsthand, how would someone be able to create some of those odd fruit powers?
Lilith kicked Brook's shin, not his balls, lol.
Hear me out... The Rokushiki techniques might represent The Five Elders and Imu (Like Ethan may represent Sky Walk and Saturn may represent Finger Pistol)
Sanji: Zoro is a burden
Me: Didn't you let Vegapunk die with your butterfingers?
At least he was trying to help, and did save bonney and kuma when kizaru attacked, instead of fighting à cat off screen
@@star-rock6466 yes he did, but, He still let Vegapunk die.
Anybody else been paying attention to the lyrics in the anime’s opening theme for Egghead? Really interesting choice of words
Given how much we've learned about Saturn, perhaps the other elders live, but Saturn dies.
It took being called mosshead to unleash the finishing blow, and Usopp stopping the Sunny was cool also Dorry with Broggy saving Luffy, just like they did at Little Garden too.
I dont see Luffy defeating the five elders in this arc, but I could see Akainu rebelling against the WG in the future when he finds out the elders are demons and him defeating them with the other admirals/vice admirals
luffy couldnt even defeat kizaru LMAO
@@Laonaadoo Cool, I didnt say Luffy had. I also didnt say he was going to defeat any of the Elders. Your comment is a bit pointless
Did you mean, “We get to have our WHOLE Cake and it it, too”? 🤣
I VERY rarely find ZERO grounds for an argument but recency bias for egghead is crazy. Kuma backstory, god valley, all five elders face and power reveal, and possibly void lore too and it’s not even over
i think ethan vs brook makes more sense they are both skeletal being with ice powers and death related (his horse form seems to be a bakotsu or a horse that burned to death)
zoro is a sneeze away from death
Just about to take a piss
Brook- "MY FAMILY JEWELS!! that's what I'd say if I had any. yohohoho!"

What did you expect the elders transformations to be, mine were:
Saturn:ushi-oni, a yokai ox spider demon.
Topman:hekatonkheire, a greek ancient monster with hundreds of arms.
Ethanbaron:naga, divine snakes in hinduism.
Marcus:the jersey devil, a cursed flying goat demon.
Ju peter:legion, a collection of many demons in someones body.
Why? The silhouetes did not had given any indication of these beings.
@@sonofcronos7831I just thought that those creatures were the coolest things they could transform into.😅
The real reason Zoro got truly active against Lucci, it because he found out leopards are found in Africa.

I don't like how Elder Planets sound either, but it makes thematic sense if you think they fear the return of the Sun God since planets are meant to orbit the sun
Well atleast we know who is the Shodai Kitetsu wielder now..
I foreshadow a Dragon appearance. Ain't no way the Dragon is missing out in a 5 Elder fight. And he can appear anywhere/anytime Luffy's at.
How many Luffy wall poster do you have??? I notice you change the different wall poster in every video. 😂😂😂 Nice
Agree with the "repetition is boring" statement. My belief is, that the 5 Elders survive and in the big battle Luffy will face Imu and therefore a fresh new fight, while the 5 elders are figthing other strawheads or pirates.
I wonder if we'll see Luffy go psychotic with his Gear 5 powers like let's say The Mask.
What if the Five Elders are supposed to be called "The Five Elder Celestial Bodies"? I'm like 90% sure this applies to both stars and planets, and it sounds cool
The official translation just said "Screw it, five elders it is" so I dont even know anymore.
No it doesn't
