Well, of course it took several months. Considering nothing was going right, and the Fireflies that were supposed to meet up with Tess & Joel, were dead, they had to plan differently. Crap happens, as you should know from real life. Unless you've been sheltered in your momma's basement, you should understand the hard knocks of life.

For the first time ever a game has brought tears to my eyes. I, myself, have a brother named Sam. He is my only sibling and I love him to death. Watching Henry commit suicide made me cry like a little bitch for the first time in many years. Then the juxtaposition of seeing Joel happily reunite with his brother made me cry like a little bitch again. The second time was tears of joy though. I can't believe I slept on this game for so long. Thank you so much for uploading this. This game will be the first game I get after I get a PS4.
ha don't worry about tomb raider multiplayer it was bad, bad, bad. Single player was excellent though. I'm replaying the remastered now. But the last of us multiplayer is still alive, I see many players playing with headsets, very involved. It is different from other online adittions and keeps the tone and tension from the single player. It's slow paced action, about survival.
i appreciate you taking the time to put this online. but i couldn't get over your extremely annoying movements. it looks like you're bored to tears. I'm sitting here wanting to watch the cut scenes and just in the beginning of the game where you play as Sarah, you miss all of the setup action. The gas explosion, the action once they hit traffic getting to the 71. whats the point in watching this if you're not going to focus on what the game tries to make you focus on? the entire point of the prologue is to set you up for the entire game. you missed all the severity that was taking place. thankfully there are scenes without your controller input.
Nergal1118 You're absolutely right. All I can say is that In my opinion everything else well put together and played fine. What happened in that scene, which is the one several people have brought up here, was that we were livestreaming when we played. It was the night it came out. When the player was playing, everyone in the chat was telling him to look all the way around. We couldn't get over how amazing it looked on the PS4. When I edited together I didn't consider how bad that moment was until people started mentioning it here. We messed up, that's all there's to it. But I do believe the rest of the gameplay and editing is just fine. It's not that we were bored to tears, just amazed. And that's why we don't livestream for game movies anymore, because you literally play the game different than you would for a game movie.
Nergal1118 haha it's all good man, you're just calling it how you see it. Nothing wrong with some positive criticism. Either way, I always appreciate some real feedback.
+Gamer's Little Playground for the record I liked how you crouched in front of the cross at the church to confess. That was a good touch. I imagine making sure everything in the entire game is cinematic is a chore.
And many still hate him for being "selfish" (taking Ellie back from the Fireflies). The vaccine would have only cured the Cordyceps infection, but not humanity's violent state. Joel had every right not to let humanity take away another loved one - or daughter for that matter - from him again, especially not for a lost cause.
spitfire126 if I had been immune, I would have let myself be tortured by imperial Japanese interrogators to have even a slim chance at garranteeing a future for humanity
this game is amazing, my favorite is the ending the reason why is that if you watched the part where Joel was taking Ellie to the car and escape and was stopped by the leader, he had a choice to save humanity or Ellie, he choose saving Ellie and killed the leader, and when they escaped and returned home Ellie wonders what happened and Joel lied about what happend, Ellie later then asked Joel to swear to her if what he said is true and he said yes, the choices that Joel makes in that ending explains what not what a hero would do but what of a man does, his choices represents reality and what humanity is like today, people whould do anything to get what they want and they have to sacrifice what's important to others to themselves, Joel had been through so much and losing his daughter was the worst thing that happened to his life and its what hurts him the most making him become a different person but when Ellie came to his life, she was like his second chance to have the life he had lost and because of that he did not want to lose her again like he did in the past, so when he had to make a choice to save humanity or Ellie he choose Ellie cause she's the only thing he has left in his life since he lost so many people in the journey, I understand his choices and so do others people in reality should do the same thing if they were in a situation like this, people do not want to lose something or someone that is so special to them and they would do anything for it to save them even if they have to sacrifice humanity to do so and that is what makes the game very amazing.
So live a few years happily then die knowing his daughter will die alone perhaps bitten by infected, starvation, bacterial infection, a broken leg from a walk in the woods.
--and above that, he's lost a daughter already, and I think he would do anything to keep this girl that is the closest thing to a daughter to him. As he says, "keep finding something to fight for". It would be an amazing read if it was a book though.

@@tomclarke7570 I wouldn´t say that but it´s not worse than many People say, there are some plottholes and nonsense but the first one also has nonsense in it, guess it´s ok …
This game is my favorite I have ever played or watched. Even the cutscenes alone are enough to bring out all of your emotions throughout. I have watched and played the game several times and this video was honestly my least favorite. Sorry to the makers of this channel but the way you played I didn't like. You avoided some conversations that build the characters and didn't put in many smaller important scenes that help escalate the mood. Also you cut out music and sounds in certain scenes and it takes you out of the scene when your watching and everything goes silent. The game developers put the sounds for a reason and in my opinion they should be kept there. Again I do love this game and thank you for putting it up for many to enjoy but I wanted to put my thoughts up for you to (possibly) read
Brandon Henderson I feel like you make fair and honest points. At lot of parts that are excluded happen because of copyright reasons. I would never want to cut out music on my own accord, but some of those songs will block the video worldwide. Other times they won't block the video, but we would lose the right to monetize the video. A lot of people feel that we shouldn't monetize the videos anyway. While I see merit in that argument, I will also say that you have to remember that we use our money to buy these games, take our time to play them and edit them. I feel like our videos have enough gameplay and editing to merit our own monetization. We in no way take credit for Naughty Dogs' brilliant work, but we put our own work to make them our own edits. The crazy thing is that the copyright issues don't even come from the game companies, they come from the music companies. 99% any issue with copyright will be because the game company licensed the songs from a music company. Game companies are mostly fine with people using their footage. Copyright issues aside, I'm sure there are cuts that had nothing to do with copyrighted music that you didn't enjoy. I personally like to edit the videos for the common viewer. My goal when editing together game movies is to show the main story as complete as possible while not adding an excessive amount of extra dialogue. You're right; a lot of it is good, and important sometimes. This video could have easily been 5 to 6 hours long if I added everything. And I think there is an audience for people who want that sort of COMPLETE experience. But at the same time, I have to make choices when editing. I have to decide what I should cut and what I should keep, so I can keep the video as streamlined as possible. There are certain conversations that might highlight Joel and Ellie's relationship even further, for example, but I felt there was already more than enough in the video, so I decided not to include it. I always appreciate constructive feedback, and I think that anything that you work on can always get better. I'm always trying to get better. I 100% know this could have been better because I would say that about any vid. But I also believe a lot of the problems come down to copyright issues, or maybe you just don't like my style of editing. But that's okay in my book, you're not going to love everything you watch. There are a lot of other people who did their edits to the Last of Us, and I know there will be someone who edits more to your taste. Thanks again for taking the time to watch, comment, and give some real feedback.
Best story in a videogame so far, in my opinion. Powerful, gripping, and downright poetic. Thanks Gamer's Little Playground for making this. Can't wait for the movie, and TLOU 2. ciao
I'm an Xbox guy, i got a PS4 for Christmas and this game.... Wow it was amazing. awesome game PS4 players are lucky to have a dev like Naughty Dog. hopefully we get something like this at some point. even though i still like Xbone better this game is one of the best games on the market
when they started doing the puns i was ok for the first ones but it kept going and my ears were like AHHHHHH MAKE IT STOP!!! I love ellie and riley though
Hey people i've finished The Last Of Us game and what a game i will cherish with me forever, the deep emotion the story brings out of you! "Totally legendary!" And i have yet to play through Left Behind which im super excited about that the story hasn't finished "JUST" yet. And on top of that i'm ready and waiting for The Last Of Us 2 "CAN NOT WAIT!" Naughty Dog I love you!! Thank you Xx PS. 4th Of April 2017 (i know im sad jotting down when i first finished it ahaha)
Fireflies FUCKED UP. You can't just ROB A MAN then say OH SORRY IT FOR GOOD INTENTION JUST LET ME ROB U BLIND. They should have let Ellie wake up and told her the cost so she'd tell Joel and he'd come to terms with it and not go into fight or flight mode.
I wish Left Behind has actually been integrated into the main campaign for The Last of Us Remastered. I think the game's story would have flowed better that way because with Left Behind standing on it's own, I think the winter portions of the DLC seem a bit out of place, but integrated into the main game, I think it's perfect!
It would've been very cool to integrate it, I totally agree! It was a beautiful DLC, but does feel quite 'tacked on' given you have to go to another menu and start a 'new' game to access it.
Well the two sections of the dlc were meant to be linked thematically. Upon going through the mall looking for medical supplies, Ellie is remembering her last day with riley (also spent in a mall) and drawing strength from her friend's last words to continue fighting on to save joel. i thought it was really smart and meaningful.
josevonbuergenwader2 I thought it was smart and meaningful too, I just meant that I wish Left Behind had been actually integrated into the main game for The Last of Us Remastered so the DLC and main game weren't separated.
great job, man. wanted a nice cinematic version to watch in celebration of TLOU2 coming out. i've beat it 6 or 7 times so far so this is a nice easy way to refresh with keeping a lot of the choppy melee scenes in. 10/10
So after Ellie mutilates David (Which was awesome) and Joel is hugging her, his mouth moves as if he says something and then Ellie seems to nod. I have no idea if there's an answer to this but i was just wondering if anyone knows what he said. Thanks:)
It's like that on purpose, it's the way the game was made. You aren't supposed to know what he says to her, it's between Joel and Ellie. I think it's very powerful. :)
Is there any chance you could upload it this complete movie to a file host? That way it wont lose quality by RUclips's downscaling to 30fps. I really hope you could, this needs to be watched in all its glory
The thing is, we record in 30fps since we know it's going to get compressed down anyway. That way the filesize is smaller. So we don't even have it in 60 fps. If it were 60 fps all the recordings would add up to over a terabyte. The final file for the game movie would be somewhere between 40 to 50 gb. which I think would be an unrealistic download for most people. =(
The beginning part reminded me of how I was when I was a teenage girl hanging out with my friends. This game captures the attitude perfectly. And the graphics are fucking awesome.
I love Ellie and I love Joel, but most of all I love their relationship. Also, I understand that there are circumstances in their world that they have to deal with. However, I can't help but feel like what they're doing is wrong? Like, there are some instances where I know that the killing wasn't necessary, but I also understand that this is the kind of society where it's kill or be killed and I don't really know how to feel about it? Because...the ending?? Joel?? Was that necessary?? ~SPOILERS AHEAD~ In my opinion, I think that Joel should have just left her there to get the cure, but j also understand that there were risks with just letting them use her like that. On one hand, no one would believe that there IS, in fact, a cure to the infection, nor would they be able to make enough for the entire USA, if not the world (I'm not sure how far the infection spread exactly). They could have given it a shot, but in the long run, I think it still would have been pointless in the end. Do YoU sEe My PrObLeM
This is the second time I have watched the cutscenes of the whole game and DLC. I have only watched the game on RUclips once before...last year. What an incredible game. A work of art....a Masterpiece. One of the greatest character and narrative driven video games I have ever seen. I consider The Last of Us one of the best games I have ever seen, and of the Greatest Video games ever made. The best developed female character right next to Lara Croft, and one of the best male characters I have ever seen in a game. Ellie and Joel feel so real that I want to acknowledge them as real people because Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker played them both to perfection. Not sure if its worthy of a sequel, but if there is one it HAS to nail it. I also recently finished up a small add on ending piece of fanfiction to the game, and I really like it. Its simple and it fits perfectly within the actual game. Just over 1400 words long.
You know that hating the game without any propper reason is childish? Dude, you don´t have to like the Story but you can´t say that the Story is crap because it´s not. It´s quite ok not the best Story but the first one after rewachting this isn´t that good as many People try to say, both games have a decent Story, the second one has some bad ways to tell the Story but only Little Kids would call it crap, idiot
@@meinhardschimpfe9047 It was one of the worst linear storylines with absolutely no real player control I have played to date. Have you even played it? Or did you just watch a playthrough? That tiny thing between your ears is your brain, learn how to use it and think for yourself, you little welfare sjw.
Just my opinion but it felt as though you were rushing through a lot of this, didn't really feel much like a movie. It needs to feel cinematic and smooth imo which is why I think recording this for RUclips while doing a live stream may not have been the best idea for this tbh.
Definitely wasn't the best idea, it was the first and last time we have ever done so. I think the one part that stands out is when Sarah is in the car looking around. Didn't really realize it until after it was uploaded, would have just re-recorded it. But it is what it is, you live and you learn
It does. I wonder what does that mean. Also do you think Joel was right in shooting Marlene? Later I found out she didn't want Ellie to die. The first time I saw this game I thought Joel was right and Marlene would've just came after Ellie, now I don't know. Also I love the video it's really beautiful and I love your work!!!!
MarcoMars It probably meant (this is my theory anyway) that Ellie probably did get a little infected at the start, but her immunity simply means her body is able to fight it, which is why it healed on its own without her turning. That make sense? :)
***** That and the fact that the outbreak started over 20 years ago so most people have never known life without clickers or the instinct of survival unlike Joel and Tommy. And even if they did make a vaccine, theres no way to mass produce it or the Government will just see it as lies or take it for themselves to keep control. The only way to eliminate the problem is to kill all the infected and contain the spores.

@@tomclarke7570 the reviews sure are bad
Can't wait for the movie, and TLOU 2. ciao
Ellie got infected again in Minecraft story mode and was slowly dying

I'm an Xbox guy, i got a PS4 for Christmas and this game.... Wow it was amazing. awesome game PS4 players are lucky to have a dev like Naughty Dog. hopefully we get something like this at some point. even though i still like Xbone better this game is one of the best games on the market

Let's not forget the part, where this dude decided to not follow directions to STAY AWAY FROM THE GODDAMN DOOR!
when they started doing the puns i was ok for the first ones but it kept going and my ears were like AHHHHHH MAKE IT STOP!!! I love ellie and riley though
Hey people i've finished The Last Of Us game and what a game i will cherish with me forever, the deep emotion the story brings out of you!
"Totally legendary!"
And i have yet to play through Left Behind which im super excited about that the story hasn't finished "JUST" yet.
And on top of that i'm ready and waiting for The Last Of Us 2
"CAN NOT WAIT!"
Naughty Dog I love you!!
Thank you

PS.
Lee Everett and Clementine vs. Joel and Ellie
Me: THE LAST OF US PART 2 IS COMING NOW BABY
After seeing the leaks
Me again: I'm fine with Uncharted
This reminds me of the Arya Stark and Sandor clegane duo.
I would've done the same exact think Joel. Fuck a cure.
great job, man. wanted a nice cinematic version to watch in celebration of TLOU2 coming out. i've beat it 6 or 7 times so far so this is a nice easy way to refresh with keeping a lot of the choppy melee scenes in. 10/10
So after Ellie mutilates David (Which was awesome) and Joel is hugging her, his mouth moves as if he says something and then Ellie seems to nod. I have no idea if there's an answer to this but i was just wondering if anyone knows what he said. Thanks:)
Nothing is being said, though, music is being played (All Gone it's called) this sound was probably removed because copyright issues.
It's like that on purpose, it's the way the game was made. You aren't supposed to know what he says to her, it's between Joel and Ellie. I think it's very powerful. :)
Patches O'Hoolahan Yeah that makes sense. Such an awesome moment. Everything about this game is special in it's own way. Thanks for the answer:D
Totally, I'd hate to think I was missing something from it too but it just genuinely is like that. No problem, you're very welcome. :)
Patches O'Hoolahan You should watch another playthrough, the soundtrack that was supposed to play there makes the scene so beautiful :'(
“I wondered what happened here?”
“Come on. We should get going.”

lol who's here after that joke called the last of us part 2?
Let me guess you're a Xbox fanboy

I cant believe I shrugged this game off without giving it a chance, Naughty Dog, you have yet to disappoint me
What the fuck were you doing in the car. Looking for Bigfoot!
This was the best version I'd ever seen thank you 👏👏
I wish they made it for the PC. Such amazing and emotional story.
Thanks. I'm on night shift and this kept me company...off to wind up that music box now...
Hey guys it's me a time traveler and Spark's music box broke if y'all could send some money to him that'd be great
Is there any chance you could upload it this complete movie to a file host? That way it wont lose quality by RUclips's downscaling to 30fps.
I really hope you could, this needs to be watched in all its glory
The thing is, we record in 30fps since we know it's going to get compressed down anyway. That way the filesize is smaller. So we don't even have it in 60 fps. If it were 60 fps all the recordings would add up to over a terabyte. The final file for the game movie would be somewhere between 40 to 50 gb. which I think would be an unrealistic download for most people. =(
Oh okay, I got ya...
Thanks for the upload ;)
Gamers Little Playground™ I agree however I think its good to know that RUclips now supports 60fps videos
The only game ever that has moved me to tears. Amazing work, team!
man...the ending was, i dont know what to say.
cure for all mankind or joel's ego.
Man, Ellie's gonna be pissed when she finds out what happened lol
@@kaelan5333 No don't say that
Idk if you guys know this but the same person who voices Ellie voices Gwen in Ben ten. I just wanted to point that out
midnightgalaxy71 and she voices Terra from teen Titans
The beginning part reminded me of how I was when I was a teenage girl hanging out with my friends. This game captures the attitude perfectly. And the graphics are fucking awesome.
Addicted to your videos!
~SPOILERS AHEAD~
In my opinion, I think that Joel should have just left her there to get the cure, but j also understand that there were risks with just letting them use her like that. On one hand, no one would believe that there IS, in fact, a cure to the infection, nor would they be able to make enough for the entire USA, if not the world (I'm not sure how far the infection spread exactly). They could have given it a shot, but in the long run, I think it still would have been pointless in the end.

Interesting point of view
Well holy heck that was one emotional roller coaster... that I rode again-
yooo, whoever plays the dad, he had me crying when the daughter died. what that soldier did was stupid and idiotic. I hate him.
Just following orders...

After Sarah died Joel had nothing left to lose then?
Yup he was on the brink edge of suicide as he says ellie needs to find something to fight for aka a will to live
Guess that's what makes dangerous characters, nothing left.
You said it
Anson Mount, the guy who plays Bohannon on Hell on Wheels would be the perfect Joel. He pretty much is Joel on Hell on Wheels.
didn't t know she was a lesbian
bisexual, since she had feelings for sam
+gamergod88 she never did. The writer for the game said she's gay.

PC gamer here. This game puts the PS3 on a pedestal all on its own.
Quite possibly the best game i've ever seen.
I keep debating who would be best in a movie about this: Arya Stark or Ellen Page
Ellie is basically a younger Ellen Page. Even her voice is similar.
tltar253 Ashley Johnson with a wig c;
Hobo Joel I don't think she's really similar to Ashley Johnson. Even if she acted for it, she doesn't seem like it. Just the CG thing I guess..
She has her face... what else do you need?
Ellen Page, PLEASE!
Hey man I don't know if you're still around on RUclips but I'm so sorry about your ambition for the sequel
Holy shit I just watched the. entire. thing.
And almost wanna start it all over again.
Shit that was good
Why does the gameplay in this look so much better in quality than the other Remastered playthroughs?
Is this best game ever??? Or is The Witcher 3??? Fallout 3??? Last but not least Metal Gear Solid 1 on Ps1???

Who is here in 2020 after that crapbox TLOU2
Ellie is my favorite female character in this game but Joel is my favorite main character of the game.
Great story, shame the gameplay is a snooze; Naughty Dog should just make movies, because they treat gameplay as an afterthought.
10001000101 Agreed
God are you serious the gameplays awesome. And ive never much liked s.tealths
Davy Jones gameplays generic. It was basically a slow paced uncharted game. It wasn’t boring jus nothing special
1:38:37 Badass moment🔥💪💯
Just my opinion but it felt as though you were rushing through a lot of this, didn't really feel much like a movie. It needs to feel cinematic and smooth imo which is why I think recording this for RUclips while doing a live stream may not have been the best idea for this tbh.
Definitely wasn't the best idea, it was the first and last time we have ever done so. I think the one part that stands out is when Sarah is in the car looking around. Didn't really realize it until after it was uploaded, would have just re-recorded it. But it is what it is, you live and you learn
Unfortunate too, because the livestream was loads of fun
I bet! aha
You have the best gaming videos
this i really shit in the intro the camera never focusing on the important stuff always looking away...
Imagine this how the coronavirus outbreak ends up
I think Ellie's gonna turn.
Some people were discussing that when we were livestreaming. They were saying that he bite wound looked worse at the end then it did in the beginning.
She's immune and the bite doesn't look worse at the end it looks like it's just turning into a giant scar
You can always tell when Joel's lying.
