just wanted to let you guys know how much I appreciate your channel...with me working two full-time jobs as well as having a family of six to take care of I do not have any time to play games anymore. I've always enjoyed the cinematics of the video games. your channel affords me the opportunity to experience the rich story of these games without spending countless hours playing them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me a moment of escape.
mustanghunter2020 I might not have children but I'm in college and with a job, I know how stress can can tear you apart, enjoying a good story from time to time takes all that away, wish the best to you and your happy family.
You know when creators love their fans when they leave "Thanks for playing". And thanks to your channel for that beautifull journey! That was trully amazing.
This is the only thing i hate about the game (aside from you had to search for yellow nipple if you want to climb something) like seriosly both Vala and Bast has a Potential to be a better character than they already have
What is beautiful about this game is that it is the diversity in the characters, the compelling plot and the good ending. It is not your stereotypical video game. What an ending too.
Lol the game had zero diversity, no character or personality, a decent plot that was ruined by bad storytelling and a cliff hanger ending that you makes you wait for the next game to understand the personality of the pointless villain.
Tell me about! Its a rarity to see diversity in ethnicity in games these days so I have a lot of respect for the creators. I'm not a fan of all the mecha elements. I love medieval and prehistoric eras without the integration of a modern era.
This was a masterpiece. It was better than most movies I've seen, and a hell of a lot better than the ones I've seen lately! Almost makes me want to shell out for a PS4. I really liked that the main character had no love interest. Most romantic subplots are superfluous and annoying, and it's encouraging to find such a great story that doesn't use one.
Masterpiece? The voice acting is cringe worthy, the land is flat with next to nothing to explore or find and mountains that feel they simply get in the way, the combat is repetitive arrow spamming, melee combat feels like a quick afterthought, the side-quests are forgettable, the characters are pointless, Aloy is a Mary Sue with zero personality, the music is forgetful outside of the title screen, the platforming is pointless and tedious....the lighting is nice though. Overrated game that gets very little right that tells a decent story in a boring and non-memorable way. Try The Witcher 3. It's vastly better in every single way.
4:16:05 Aloy: "I never had a mother" Sylens: "What are you talking about? You had two. A dead woman and a machine. hands down Sylens best line in the game! XD
Kinda sorta 974 years. You're only calculating for 365 days in a year when we have leap years. We have those cause it takes 365.256 days to orbit the sun. If you calculate that it 973.317 days. Not a big difference that .317 is 4 months, so it's 8 months less than 974 years.
Omg.. and I paid money for that Valerian movie?! This has better story, better cinematic, better fleshed out characters, more captivating world! Even a better ending with superior resolve and a worthwhile lesson! This is, in everyway, far better than ALL the movies I've seen in the cinemas at least this year! I hope they bring out a sequel soon!
Not sure about a sequel, because it would be money driven, still, this is just one of many games, having overall better quality than any hollywood movie over the last two decades ... maybe game designers, should write movie storys? Still, there is one big difference .... when you create a movie, you got the Story finished. When you create a game, you can always put that little bit of pepper into it, maybe thats what movie makers lack? But that's just a hunch xD
29:00 I’ve played this game maybe ten times all the way through, have a tattoo of it, my phones ringtone is the theme music, and I still get chills every time I see this part.
You and me both. I have over 350+ hrs worth on HZD and still play through it, and every time I watch this cutscene I will always get chills. True character development, true ‘hero structuring’ (we have seen her struggles and how she wants to improve and better herself. Now she becomes this “Ultimate Badass” who can take down anyone/anything with a bow.), and GG has picked great music to go along with this.
Nicholas Seitler a little bit of everything! I have aloy, two tall necks, a thunder jaw, a grazer, a glint hawk, and a metal flower. It’s a half sleeve on my right arm!
Sad irony - He listened, and it cost him his life. Just as the saying goes "You should be very careful what you wish for, cause it just might come true."
Man...Ted Faro was an idiot. First he develops machines that cause the destruction of all life on earth and then destroys the repository of knowledge that could have spared the future humanity a huge amount of misery out of an irrational fear...well at least that decision had a positive aspect, if it wasn't made then the game wouldn't have had such a great storyline.
My guess is that he had a nervous breakdown and went mad. He decided that it would be better for man to develop on its own and be free of the restraints of the pass. And more importantly they wouldn't know how to build more evil robots.
Imperialx Warlord A crazy fool's decision indeed. In doing so he enabled them to fall for Hades's trickery. If they had any idea of what was its function no sane person would have even touched it's drive. And that's just the tip of the iceberg... Not to mention that he'd have just delayed the inevitable, as humanity progressing would have regained that knowledge in a thousand years or so. Lol he doomed humanity once and almost did it again...
"In doing so he enabled them to fall for Hades's trickery. If they had any idea of what was its function no sane person would have even touched it's drive" Yes because everyone is so righteous and loving that they would never intentionally modify a "Kill everything/ Everyone" machine... Right?... Right? I dont agree with what he did. But I personally would say what he did makes sense to a degree. At least in a pessimistic point of view.
rmyd027 Thank for sharing part of my thought, but allow me to argue to your statement. "Yes because everyone is so righteous and loving that they would never intentionally modify a "Kill everything/ Everyone" machine... Right?... Right?" Hades is an AI born from a program projected and developed to obliterate life, I quote the designer "extinction on demand, death on speed dial." Not tampering with something so dangerous isn't just a matter of righteousness and lovingness, it's a matter of self preservation, sanity, the desire to stay alive. Especially if you had the knowledge that your entire planet is kept afloat by an underground terraforming system... With that being said, there are many insane people yes, but at least don't enable the sane part of the population to tamper with a nuclear launch button.
Eloy's reaction to getting praised hurt my soul. I can't imagine what it must feel like to have a whole world against you then to be praised as if nothing happened. Especially when the Nora (atleast more so than the others) are the most self-center, pretentious and superstitious of all the tribes. It kind of reminds me of Naruto too xD
*Aloy*”seems like she sets a high standard, *Varl*oh you have no idea, she’s my mother”. Aloy then proceeds to kill many ancient machines and save the nora tribe almost single-handedly. (i forgot name of the nora who said this)”your deeds surpass even this made at mothers heart” or whatever it was called then aloy proceeds to save the entire planet from permanent extinction
@@nickkozak4763 but that's not because she's a godsend. There is no goddess. What they think the goddess is, is just a cradle fascility. Aloy was chosen to save the world, yes, but by an AI that makes calculated decisions and not an almighty God
I’ve found that the main game runs into a lip-sync issue here and there, but the Frozen Wilds DLC drops the repetitive face-to-face cutscene/conversation format a little bit and the face/body animations seem to be smoother and less prone to weird syncs. It might just be me...but I wonder if the DLC might’ve been better because they had more time to work on it? Idk, just a thought! Love this game :)
I have to say, I really enjoy the twist where there was no 'secret weapon' that could stop the Faro Plague. Too often in these kinds of stories, the enemy is given some kind of fatal flaw that the heroes can exploit just in time to win. I really appreciate that they didn't go down that route in this game, instead deciding they needed to create a way to reseed life while also building an engine that could, eventually, shut the Faro robots down.
That was the best 5 hour movie I have seen and I have seen my share of long ass films haha. Thank you guys so much for taking the time to craft this beautiful piece of work for us to watch
Never been so immersed in a games story for a long time horizon zero dawn blew me away im forever gonna remember it and cant wait to see what happens next!!!
Really? The characters sucked and the voice acting was cringe worthy. The plot was ok however the story telling just fell flat. Massively overrated, try playing better games.

Wow, this story was amazing, I don't think I will be getting any sleep tonight after watching this, and I truly hope there will be a pre-quel or even a movie. Thanks Gamer's Little Playground for all the game movies I've watched on this channel and always delivering the story so good. Can't thank you guys enough!
well not a prequel, since the lore already asserted that nothing worthy of a game actually happened prior to HZD. unless you want a game where only humans fought back, and machines ran.
This story sucked dude....terrible voice acting, boring characters and a poorly told story that ruined an otherwise decent play. This game was worse than Andromeda.
The beginning cutscene, where the machines are shown for the first time, always gives me the chills. Boy was I overly hyped and excited to start playing. And still am! Nothing but love for this, can't wait for the second game to come out.
One of the few games that actually made me satisfied sitting through the end credits and just admire the work as well as the world they created, I fell in love with Aloy and the perfect voice actress for her in my opinion. I can't wait for the sequel already.
My first thought is that they should make this a real film...... BUT the Hollywood might mess it up and kinda destroy what it was so I think THIS is all we need it to be👍 nice upload I really like this game
Hour one: Turns out becoming a parent does influence the reception you give to content that concerns parenting. Goddamit I've become a sob. Also: probably the best weaving-in of a tutorial I've ever seen anywhere. It just fits so perfectly - coming-of-age stories were made for being tutorials and this game milks it all the way.
It was ok. Rost was just a pussy though, he couldn't even keep the Proving a secret from Aloy, he gave into that child way too easily. Average, overrated game. These guys should stick to average Halo clone shooters. At least they are shorter...
Damn I just finished this game movie right now and I can say it was a wild and awesome experience. This is one of the best games Ive seen in the PS4. Thanks for making this game movie and keep making great videos.
Talk about a happy ending. I like it, it was very meaningful. It had adventure which indeed gives the audience hunger for curious events throughout the movie. Its a natural hero born movie. The strive is real, the truth was real. Best gameplay movie on my list.
The ending was interesting. For me I think many people will miss the subtle assertion that the ideal is that women are preferred more than men, based on the conversation between Gaia and Elisabet. Female leads are cool. But I see more and more of this putting down men in media...and it seems men don't pick up on it.
BassicallyChristian even after playing the game again and looking for feministic traits, i'm not finding anything out of the ordinary. I think you all are just seeing what you want to see, and not what's actually implied, purely because of a female protagonist and some vague dev comments. Alex Davilia you find it weird that someone would have a preference for their child's gender? That happens all the time, not even including the cultures which still have differences in gender values(like china). And yes, people do often(sadly) end up favoring a child of their prefered gender or traits than another. The only thing strange about Elizabet's remark is that more often than not, a parent has a preference for the opposite gender(mothers want boys, and fathers want girls), and will generally bond to said child better if they are the opposite gender.
Alex Davila some parents still want a gender for their child, regardless of new world liberation. They would bemoan about what kind of gender they would prefer, and also, regardless of whichever gender comes out, they would (if they're the normal ones) love and care for their children all the same. Of course, there's a matter of favoritism, but that's when their actual personality shows up. Feminism is whatever people sniff on about. Either my nose is stunted, or I just can't smell it in-game. Maybe you're all alerted because the lead is female? The ratio of significant men is to significant women has difference, at least, so you can calm.
BassicallyChristian does your idiotic ass know that billions of baby girls are aborted for sons? it’s called femcide? men get their wives killed trying to have sons to. in fact that’s why there’s now 100 million more men on the planet than women cause you kill us so much? shut your stupid ass up butthurt woman hater, men are so obsessed with being victims and ignoring reality. people always complain about daughters but it’s not like most violence and wreckage is done by us, it’s men. a fact.
Why..? Not only his familly would've been murdered, but secondly, if you follow the story, he actually never did betray Eloy or Nora.. his Focus simply recorded Eloy, as before that no one knew of her existance.. Anyways, the guy didn't deserve to die.. plus, this player promissed him (befofe executing him) to save his familly.. obviouslly that didn't happen..
@finsclapping fortunatly, there are almost none left, but what about US Soldiers, bombarding arabic shools SURELY NOT ON PURPOSE? Mabye they can't be thrusted either? Maybe they are Rats either? OK, i admit, iam german and a little bit pissed about that fishy argument of yours, still ... no one i ever met, acted with foresight for years or decades, or just for other people (not even our politicans, but thats just like the US, Bismarck was one of last big thinkers here .....). They all acted based on the informations they got so far, without really thinking about, whats up ahead. So i think americans have a very nice description, for everyone, who was victim to that ... they call it: "collateral damage" ... no german shall ever use this word, but for US Soldiers, it is the best and most used excuse (who is the rat now?) so ... me as a german, would have spared his life, still i would not thrust him an inch and i fully understood her decision to kill that man, even so we do not get to see the rescue of his family in motion (maybe the game would not let the player, because he/she killed him, or the rescue was not a big enough event for a cutscene, so we just did not got to see it). For understanding it, you have to understand the world, Aloy is living in. He really was not to be trusted, because he was "weak" not fighting back, "weak" not to make a stand, but @finsclapping do not put yourself in Aloys Position because she is kind of a "saint", with a calculated purpose. Put yourself in Olins Position! Wouldn't you put your child and wife above everything else? If you truly love? If your love gave you strength over decades and then someone took that "everything" from you? I think it was a cruel decision, even though it was kind of the RIGHT (get it? right? xD) one, she was selfish, searching for revenge! But maybe because of that, it was just the right decision for her ... to learn, that something that feels "right" to do, maybe not so bright and "right" at all ^^ think about it, imho, it was ONE of a kind game decision to make, like in gears 5 when you have to choose wich one at the end, but not like in Wolfenstein, where you would have likely waited for a decision like that, just because of the theme, wich maybe the reason, they put it right into the start ;)
I was about half-way through when I realized that the upload time for this video must have taken ages! I love what you guys do and I'm happy as all hell to keep watching! +like
funny that not once did Aloy refers to Rost as her father... but she almost breaks down to tears when she thinks of Elizabeth regret for not having children.... weird...
Beau Kennedy there is no "H" at the end of her name. Know quite a few Elizabets and a few Elizabeths. "Bet" ending is the Scandinavian version of the Hebrew's "Beth" ending.
I think that was mostly Rost's doing. He raised her, and obviously cared for her like a daughter, but was trying to prepare Aloy for the time when he could no longer be there due to his outcast status. Notice he never once called her his daughter. That bit of emotional distancing locked down Aloy when she wanted to say 'father' in turn.
thanks u guys for the no commentary and awesome, to the point, gameplay that still gives the gamers an opportunity to still play the game themselves or not.
This game’s theme is self-discovery and exploration, the vast lands and side quests holding secrets and Easter eggs to past events in this games history...from the first machines being seen to the carja war against other tribes. And the side characters have unique personalities and I just love the interactions and facial expressions that went into the optics of having conversations with others...such an amazing game
I honestly enjoyed Zero Dawn more than Forbidden West, because i didn't find that one feeling of the Zeo Dawn project cinematics with herres and elizabeth. I also really loved the gaia final message.
I have to say this game was 10/10 great store, excellent char, and over all i love the art behind all of the creation. This game hands down is one of the best designed games in awhile.
God bless you for putting all the cutscenes into movie form and revealing this beautiful story to me. It was definitely an eye opener and also it reminded me to not judge a book by its cover. This story has conveyed plenty of in depth meaning in a practical sense. Thank you!
Yeah it is very important that he did get friendzoned. It is a direct shot at "Disney type" romances we grew up with. This game has subtle ways of trying to dispel "traditional" gender dynamics in storytelling. It is very important for the writers to let the audience know that Aloy does not need most men. Especially certain types of powerful men.
Leonardo, that's not just SJW. that's just common decency and self-dignity. not everyone needs a love interest. It wouldn't really be in aloy's character anyways, given her entire life was spent in exile killing machines, and then later leading a lone crusade against the people who slaughtered her tribesmen. social needs and insecurities are kinda pushed to the side.
Kudos to Gamer's Little Playground for making this very beautiful video... you guys made me stay on my seat for almost 6hours and made my lazy day a great day. Thank you guys!
Well its actually 973 years, 129 days,11 hours, 23 minutes, 42 seconds and 720 miliseconds. Assuming the 31st October meeting took place at 12:30, the exact time and date would be 23:53, March 9, 3038
HOLY SH!T!!! I knew it, I just so had the feeling when Aloy stabbed Hades that he wasn't completely killed! And now Sylens, the crafty old fox has him! I smell a sequel in the making. For the scene when Sylens gets Hades: 5:49:00
It'd be interesting to see how different parts of the world handled the crisis... And sometimes I wonder if they tried destroying the machines that would make the death robot machines
@gamer's little playground. After completing the game, first thing i did was i watched the whole game movie that you made. Thank you for making this video. I really enjoyed watching your game movie. Thank you again, i really needed to watch the main story.
Most likely, especially if those implant help him store knowledge. I can see him being a villain in future installments, letting his quest for knowledge control him, rather than him controlling his quest for knowledge
My thanks I have been waiting some times on this one! :D Some people might call it spoiling a good game but when tech & money are on the down side the least you can do is watch a good story unfold,

@@dani_i8942 if your talking about sylens and hades you already know their personalities. Other than that pretty diverse game

RedJefe this game was the sole reason I bought a PS4, and I definitely think it was worth it. Absolute masterpiece of a game.

Kinda sorta 974 years. You're only calculating for 365 days in a year when we have leap years. We have those cause it takes 365.256 days to orbit the sun. If you calculate that it 973.317 days. Not a big difference that .317 is 4 months, so it's 8 months less than 974 years.

Even a better ending with superior resolve and a worthwhile lesson! This is, in everyway, far better than ALL the movies I've seen in the cinemas at least this year! Not sure about a sequel, because it would be money driven, still, this is just one of many games, having overall better quality than any hollywood movie over the last two decades ... maybe game designers, should write movie storys? Still, there is one big difference .... when you create a movie, you got the Story finished. What's the tattoo of?
You and me both. I have over 350+ hrs worth on HZD and still play through it, and every time I watch this cutscene I will always get chills. True character development, true ‘hero structuring’ (we have seen her struggles and how she wants to improve and better herself. Now she becomes this “Ultimate Badass” who can take down anyone/anything with a bow.), and GG has picked great music to go along with this.

Watched in one sitting, forgot to sleep, but fuck it. Man, what an adventure.
Imperialx Warlord
A crazy fool's decision indeed.
Yup. "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" and whatnot.
rmyd027
Thank for sharing part of my thought, but allow me to argue to your statement.
"Yes because everyone is so righteous and loving that they would never intentionally modify a "Kill everything/ Everyone" machine... Right?... Right?"
Hades is an AI born from a program projected and developed to obliterate life, I quote the designer "extinction on demand, death on speed dial."
Not tampering with something so dangerous isn't just a matter of righteousness and lovingness, it's a matter of self preservation, sanity, the desire to stay alive. Especially if you had the knowledge that your entire planet is kept afloat by an underground terraforming system...
With that being said, there are many insane people yes, but at least don't enable the sane part of the population to tamper with a nuclear launch button.
"I was merely trespassing" -Sylens
Nice way to exit the scene.
"Turn your face to the sun and think about that!"
I don't choose the aggressive options very often, but that was so satisfying to hear Aloy say!
Exactly, bruh, this is like the video game version of Naruto, bruh.
*Aloy*”seems like she sets a high standard, *Varl*oh you have no idea, she’s my mother”.
Aloy then proceeds to kill many ancient machines and save the nora tribe almost single-handedly.
(i forgot name of the nora who said this)”your deeds surpass even this made at mothers heart” or whatever it was called
then aloy proceeds to save the entire planet from permanent extinction
@@nickkozak4763 but that's not because she's a godsend. There is no goddess. What they think the goddess is, is just a cradle fascility. Aloy was chosen to save the world, yes, but by an AI that makes calculated decisions and not an almighty God
Rost, is the definition of a real man. He gave up everything to raise a child that he did not even know.
Finding Elizabet in the final seconds....that for me was the biggest and most emotional moment on the entire game.
These graphics....HOLY COW.
I knew Aloy's voice actress sounded familiar. Just now realizing she voiced Chloe from Life Is Strange
Naomi A
And if you're familiar with Naruto, then you'd recognise who voiced Helis.
I knew she sound like chloe!
Also voiced Tiny Tina in Borderlands 2
Look up "Hey Ash, Whatcha playin'? " on you tube. Thats her.
I had a hard time not hearing Zavala
I have to say, I really enjoy the twist where there was no 'secret weapon' that could stop the Faro Plague. Too often in these kinds of stories, the enemy is given some kind of fatal flaw that the heroes can exploit just in time to win. I really appreciate that they didn't go down that route in this game, instead deciding they needed to create a way to reseed life while also building an engine that could, eventually, shut the Faro robots down.
That was the best 5 hour movie I have seen and I have seen my share of long ass films haha. Thank you guys so much for taking the time to craft this beautiful piece of work for us to watch

well not a prequel, since the lore already asserted that nothing worthy of a game actually happened prior to HZD. unless you want a game where only humans fought back, and machines ran.
This story sucked dude....terrible voice acting, boring characters and a poorly told story that ruined an otherwise decent play. This game was worse than Andromeda.

Dr. Sobeck's Meeting was overdue for over 973 years
Talk about a happy ending.
BassicallyChristian does your idiotic ass know that billions of baby girls are aborted for sons? it’s called femcide? men get their wives killed trying to have sons to. in fact that’s why there’s now 100 million more men on the planet than women cause you kill us so much? shut your stupid ass up butthurt woman hater, men are so obsessed with being victims and ignoring reality. people always complain about daughters but it’s not like most violence and wreckage is done by us, it’s men. a fact.

I can't believe you killed Olin.
ArchangelExile I killed him too.
@@TheLineCutter Wow. The world must be black and white for you, huh?
First time I see this game but I would spare Olin.
+like
My only complaints is that during the cutscenes the facial animations of the characters seem dead
Nah nigga
Thank you I'm not the only ome
I concur
Aloy's face is the most expressive and detailed, everyone else is hit or miss.
They fixed that on "Frozen Wilds". Their facial animations show emotions now and they added more verbal cues

funny that not once did Aloy refers to Rost as her father...
but she almost breaks down to tears when she thinks of Elizabeth regret for not having children....
weird...
What's also weird is how they all forget the H at the end of her name
Beau Kennedy there is no "H" at the end of her name. Know quite a few Elizabets and a few Elizabeths. "Bet" ending is the Scandinavian version of the Hebrew's "Beth" ending.
@@beaukennedy4618 For what it's worth, I thought it was a typo too until I saw it spelled without the H enough to times to realize it wasn't.
Yeah its one of the Creative Decisions i disagree with but its not enough to make a big deal about
I think that was mostly Rost's doing.
Greatest story of his year yet. Im so glad for the RPGs' that have been coming out the last couple years. This is truly a pinnacle among them.
This game’s theme is self-discovery and exploration, the vast lands and side quests holding secrets and Easter eggs to past events in this games history...from the first machines being seen to the carja war against other tribes. And the side characters have unique personalities and I just love the interactions and facial expressions that went into the optics of having conversations with others...such an amazing game

even king can get a friend zoneee
Twice
