- In 2016, Mark Baumer attempted to walk across America barefoot to raise attention for climate change. His journey and life were cut short when he was hit and killed.
i knew a guy who did something like this 16 years ago. regardless of what anyone really thinks about what he was doing, at least he had fun. condolences to the parents.
I wish there were more trails connecting each state. I’d like to ride my bike across America but I guess it’s just not safe.
I've known people to do it. It's safe! :)
There is the discovery trail
nope cars are the new prison
Who was the damn SUV driver that hit him?
So sad to hear he passed away by watching the documentary. R.I.P mark May God be with you and keep you safe.
No, he passed away from getting hit by a car. The documentary is about him.
Tragic. Reminds me of the Chris McCandless story
It is obvious that Mark Baumer was a gentle and kind soul who lived life to the fullest. The tragic accident that took his life and left his family devastated and heart-broken is a sad reminder that we are on this earth for only a finite time--make the most of it like Mark did!! My sincere expression of sympathy goes out to the Baumer family. bob eilek temecula, ca.
If he would have stayed home locked away safe, he could have lived a long boring life, finally passing after his pile of hoarded hand sanitizer was toppled over by the hoarded tp and masks... Okay sure he died young, but at least he lived while doing it! ❤
I wish I could join a walk across America group to honor people like Mark that walked across the country. I would quit my job to walk America with others.
Same 💚
Inspiring. I'm currently planning my own walk across the country.
Update?
This segment is 10/10. I will watch this tonight
That’s so sad, rest in peace, Mark. God bless him and his family ❤
We need more trails 👣
Just looking at this reminds me how MUCH OUR FATHER AND MOTHER LOVE US🥹
“Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times” climate change...🙄
RIP Mark. I gifted him those sunglasses and he gave me like ten crates of books.
I love this guy
Has anyone finished his trip for him? Maybe someone needs to start where he left off.
So he actually...lived not died
He has done both
Wouldn’t be surprised if the person that hit him did it on purpose… people are haters
Of course the driver was a woman
What does that even mean? Statistically men get into more accidents and are more dangerous drivers...
@@mysurfing3550 it was all jokes
@@RazorsAreSharp Okay but you missed the most important part "Florida" woman 😁😉😂
He hated big SUV gas guzzlers then was run over by an SUV. IRONY, IRONY OHHHH THE IRONY.
The problem here was he did this for a second time. Even the dad thought it was a mistake
No the problem that United States was built for cars so no one can walk ride a bike before WW2 u could have walked anyte road weren't built for cars back in the day
The problem here was the woman that ran him over…….
Imagine believing climate alarmists 😅😅🤣
Shut up
Right?
Ummm there’s been changes before humans...ice ages? Duh
