Hey! Anime and Harry Potter fan here! Some of the male characters look like girls due to the typical "cute" anime style... It's VERY hard to make long haired characters look male sometimes with this style which is often accused of "same face syndrome" :) Tom Riddle was actually meant to be extremely attractive, using his looks and charm to his advantage was part of how he got so much support and some of his deathly hallows! And for Helga, did you know that to get into the Hufflepuff common room, you have to tap the rhythm of a song? Rowena... We don't know much about her but she was very mysterious and loved so I guess that's why :P I know this wasn't a serious question but I couldn't help but use this opportunity to geek out :')
