Batch processing saved me LOT of work. One of the best things about it - you can add to the list pictures from different folders. This allowed me to process pictures in different locations and save them into different locations at once. It was exactly what I needed! If there was an option to "randomly apply macros from the list" it would become a powerful tool for generating random versions too. Very niche option, I know. But would be very cool to have.
Good. Now if one can see all the selected photos at once and compare the adjustments and do them live. … Please Serif, do Lightroom version of APhoto at last with some catalog functions …. We have been begging for it for years. I’ll gladly pay the same price I paid for the latest update of all 3 apps.
Question about the order of operations: Are the files resized and converted to an alternate color space before the macros are applied, or vice-versa? Also, I'm glad that you made it clear that selecting an alternate ICC profile for output results in conversion rather than simply assigning an alternate ICC profile. It's not clear from the interface, and the distinction is important.
I congratulate you for the new tutorials where the image of the person who is explaining does not appear, since this image distracts and covers part of the program's interface. Congratulations!
I like the batch functionality as well as the tutorial. Is it possible to apply the maximum edge size (pixels) to the longest edge? Eg. set max size to 1200 pixels an it applies to the height in portrait picture formats and the width in landscape picture formats? That would be a banger!
This looks nice. Although I'm still on the fence about updating, because of the way how you made the software as Windows "app". I heard there might be a traditional exe version coming later, is that true?
how could I make a batch import of 500 images on a canvas 1200 x 1200 for example, and export later each image again as a separate new .jpg? During the import, the images should centralize on the canvas. I saw the ability to set the import with and height, but can´t see a solution to centralize them on a canvas and export it later.
Thanks! Yes, you can create any macro you want and apply it to a batch job. If your macro creates adjustment layers and live filter layers, you can always save the batch processed files as .afphoto and this will let you open each document open to tweak the layers further if required…
I'd like to be able to open one or more files in a batch process, apply a pre-set, save the file, then revert the file, apply a different pre-set and save with a different name, in essence being able to create several different looks for an image/multiple images for clients, i.e. B&W, Teal/Orange and standard colour, is there a way to achieve this with Affinity Photo V2?, I tried with V1 but found that you cannot use "reset" in a macro like you can in Adobe
I don't get the option to change the quality. I'm doing a batch job with pngs exporting as smaller pngs. Do you only get the quality option when you are using affinity files?
Can you please make a tutorial on how to open images from other image browsers into Affinity Photo on windows computer? For example, I want to use Adobe Bridge as image browser and I would like to configure it so if I double-click on the image it opens in Affinity Photo. On mac, Adobe Bridge can configured for that, but on widows, I do not know where to find Affinity Photo .exe.
never had the authorise button on Batch job menu, spent many hours trying to get access to folders, after the use of the forums was I able to unlock the security on the folders, what version is being used?, as I only started having this trouble with Photo V2
Hi James I can't get access to my macros on MAC system Are You running Mac or windows for this video. I can see macro categories but not the actual macros so can't therefore select any macros to apply. Any suggestions, Please?
Please bring the ability to create macros to iPad Photo 2. Also, I agree with @mike_7279. I’d like to see and compare the batch edits live. I’d like the ability to tweak while mass/batch editing.

I second this
We need Affinity Light and Affinity Animation, would be extremely powerful alternatives to adobe
I didn't know this exists until today. Thanks for tutorial!

I didn´t know about this feature in AP. Great suprise.
Great, can we use it to hide or retouch nadir with panoramas?
I hope we get a video on creating macros
So is there any way to BATCH CROP? Looking to CROP in size a multi page pdf.

Hi, great tutorial! Is it possible to add custom macros so we can apply more customised edits to all of our images?
Thanks! Yes, you can create any macro you want and apply it to a batch job. If your macro creates adjustment layers and live filter layers, you can always save the batch processed files as .afphoto and this will let you open each document open to tweak the layers further if required…
@@JamesRitson Thanks mate!
