    Of course, like all magnets, the Earth has a north and a south magnetic pole. The Aurora Borrealis are the Northern (Boreal) Lights; in the southern hemisphere, there's a corresponding Aurora Australis (Southern) lights. The very best place to view them is Antarctica.

    🌞 Normally I would say it's being caused by increased solar activity, but the Sun has been very quiet recently with no events or outbursts reported 🤷🏻‍♂️
