In high school I used to bowl at a place that only oiled the lanes on league nights just before warmups so on summer days the old wood lanes were so dry I learned to Cannonball my dad's old Black Beauty pretty effectively.
And Packy, be sure to tell Brent that next time you two are bowling at "The National Bowling Stadium" again for another video, they will put oil on the lanes and advise him to not cross over the foul line while bowing, because it really slippery.
So cool! My brother just bowled here for a youth city tournament!! Awesome to see bowlers like yourself in Reno!! Also, J.J is awesome at High Sierra. Drilled all the balls I have
Great video, I can always count on your videos to make me smile. Personally, when the lanes be dry, I loft the ball halfway down the lane and pray it doesn't overhook... I'm not sure it would do much if there's no oil though.
Nothing better than getting home from your bowling league and seeing a house bowling video is up, bowled a 171, 214, 201 with an iq emerald and a roto grip daredevil.
Mr. Bowers... do you like the overall look of the renovated stadium or do you prefer the nostalgia of the old look? I'll be visiting it this summer for the first time since the renovation, but I have great memories as a child of the old stadium.
Yeah... It's a 27 year old facility and I think it looks pretty good for it's age. It's currently getting a fresh coat of paint outside and it's got a fresh coat now inside with the Reno Tahoe RGB. Taking the stadium seats out definitely changes the feel inside but they were underused and now that extra floor space allows NBS to service larger groups and events for food and banquet settings. Change isn't always easy but without question, NBS is in as good of shape today as ever. Cheers to 30 more years of making memories at the National Bowling Stadium!
Hey packy I have a video idea. When you have a free day next, what if I sent you a bowling ball my grandpa used to use back in the day when he bowled in local leagues. It's a burgundy color and it says "jol" or something in the circle logo. It's made by hammer. What if you used it in a fun video?
My dad and I will be bowling at this place where you(Packy) and Brent bowl a game with no oil on the lanes on June 15(Teams) and 16(Singles/Doubles) for the USBC Nationals Bowling Tournament.
1. I would do rocket the pocket with attacking the lane 2. That would have been funny as hell if after he walked up there and threw it in the gutter like a show reference (can’t remember it)
LOL...bowled on almost similar conditions before new years when apparently the oiler went on vacation. some oil but any turn meant immediate left or right turn. I resorted to suitcasing for an awesome 420 series.
I got to experience what no oil feels like at a mall in NY recently, it’s called pinz, couldn’t even possibly recommend it to anybody that curves cuz it forces u to throw straight
Ive bowled with basically no oil as in the lane hasn't been conditioned for 3 days(they oiled for Friday night then didn't oil all weekend and I bowled Monday). It sucked for sure. I've never bowled on a stripped modern lane though. It's probably because it's bad for the lane
I started dying when he past the foul line, kept going, and the cameraman still followed lol
you know damn well that camera man was instructed to not be more than 10ft away at all cost no matter the rules that have to be broken
Love Brent's energy and vibe! is he a tour rep or something? Cool dude
He works for Reno!
Excited to Bowl Nationals this year for my first time! should be fun as hell
You’ll be right there in Reno!!
Make sure to be nursing a shot. It will make it go slower and easier and pay for the video of your event, it is worth it.
So stoked to see you!

1. This guy doesn’t lack personality
2. She’s been working their so long her habit kicked it “you know this isn’t allowed” lmao! I love it
10:06 "You calling me fat?!?" #Dead 🤣
😂😂
"THATS AS GOOD AS ITS GONNA BE"
I NEED TO PUT THAT ON A shirt 👕 for League night!!
And Packy, be sure to tell Brent that next time you two are bowling at "The National Bowling Stadium" again for another video, they will put oil on the lanes and advise him to not cross over the foul line while bowing, because it really slippery.
I bowled on some bone dry wood lanes yesterday and felt bad about myself…this made me feel a little better lol
We all stink sometimes, the goal is to stink less
I loved it, it felt like I was watching a game of Candlepin or Duckpin with the tough pin action and scoring. You got stronger as it went along.
Hahaha it was impossible!
Can't wait to be there this year for the Nationals! This trip will check 3 things off my bucket list!
What are those 3 things?
Can't wait to see you!
Please tell me your watching at or bowling in the USBC Nationals Bowling Tournament?!?!?!?!?!
So cool! My brother just bowled here for a youth city tournament!! Awesome to see bowlers like yourself in Reno!!
Also, J.J is awesome at High Sierra. Drilled all the balls I have
Great Vid, haven't seen Brent in a hot minute. Out of all the places I've bowled, have yet to bowl in Reno. Lol
Hope to see you soon!
Hey Packy if you ever get to the Corvallis or Eugene Oregon area I would love to see you bowl and maybe get to bowl a game with you
Brent is a real wisecracker! 😆
Great video, I can always count on your videos to make me smile. Personally, when the lanes be dry, I loft the ball halfway down the lane and pray it doesn't overhook... I'm not sure it would do much if there's no oil though.
Packy, this was one of the most entertaining videos yet! I was laughing more than those IYLYL challenges! LOL Keep em coming! 😆🤣😂
No oil means strong center straight throws. Friction will over hook the ball. Good luck and good push ups workout. Thanks for the video.

NBS looks amazing to bowl in!
It is! Are you bowling the open championships this year!
@@TheHouseBowlingyes! I plan to!
This was the BEST!!
My group from Cooperstown will be in Reno 4/24-25 for USBC nationals...hope for some tips from elite bowlers like Packy.
Brent kills me, man 🤣
That spin is crazy!! Great vid packy. Do you recommend any balls for righty two hand bowlers?
Purple hammer reactive!
thank you I’ll check it out, is it beginner friendly?
@@tatemoore8058 It's low-mid point pricing, but it's 100% a beginner friendly ball. Anyone of any skill level can and should use it.
Dude it is hard!!
Feels impossible!!
That's awesome Packy! Is the National Bowling Stadium only for tournaments ?
Yes for the most part, very few parties but they do have the kingpin club for a 10 lane center downstairs for corporate events!
I was there for my bowling league and it was my first time also. That place is nice and the staff is amazing! Shoutout to them! Ill be back soon.
You are the luckiest man alive…. Some will say blessed!
😂😂
I’ve bowled on dry lanes before(with reactive) and I did pretty well
There’s “dry” and then there’s this which is “none” lmao
@@playdiscgolf1546Tbh I wrote that comment without thinking first, so I could have be no oil, or just very little of it on the lanes I bowl on.
It's like these guy shave never open bowled at 3pm on a Sunday afternoon.
Great we learn factorials in this video too
Hey Brent! So glad to see you still at it and how far you've come from the days of Countryside Lanes!
@6:21 if that didn’t look like Luke Rosdahl than you tell me😂
that bowling alley is so clean
It is the national bowling stadium!
@@TheHouseBowling it’s amazing

Good 'ol Bowers laying the smackdown on him! All the while talkin that talk! 🤣
That hall is huge! but look amazing!
Can’t wait til you and the other pros are here in Missouri
that globe viz a ball was my first ball ever. great trip down memory lane
No oil Packy is looking like me out there 😂
Why does Brent give off youth pastor vibes 😂😂
Is that the lanes nationals uses? remodel makes it so much different if so
Cool tech bowling ball the house bowling packy
I’ve done this before stripped lanes no oil it was so cool and I did pretty good
great video quality man!
I tried this once at the center I work at just to see, a house ball starts to hook before the first set of dots//arrows. Blew my mind.
Insane!!
The Rattler with a 4000 finish is great on ZERO oil lanes..like my local centers
I love your videos
Thanks!
No pockets were harmed in the making of this video.
0 of them!
My dad and I will be bowling at this place where you(Packy) and Brent bowl a game with no oil on the lanes on June 15(Teams) and 16(Singles/Doubles) for the USBC Nationals Bowling Tournament.
cleanest set of pins ive ever seen lol
Now you have to try this challenge on the 101 foot lane.
i was really wanting to see brent try and do those pushups 😂
Just to answer you question of what is 5x5x5x5. It equals 625
I loved this video!
I dealt with this before at a place that doesnt oil their lanes. I just use a house ball and throw it straight
I’m hooking it for sure. Feet at the 5 board ball drops at the nine board
This is why Mark Roth is the GOAT. He could conquer any pattern.
Love the channel
Thanks 😁
1. I would do rocket the pocket with attacking the lane
2. That would have been funny as hell if after he walked up there and threw it in the gutter like a show reference (can’t remember it)

Where did you get the earth ball
That’s a cool bowling alley frfr
National bowling stadium in Reno!

420 series woot woot id be in the parking lot burning up after that
Brent loves to talk trash. You need to visit Jamestown TN they have an alley from the 1960’s with old school wooden lanes and very little oil.
Bro straight up bowling Earth
20 mph and straight towards the headpin
Ginger is amazing ty for the video packs
these are the lane conditions i play w istg 😂
that guy is so funny 🤣🤣
That lane is drier than a popcorn fart...lol
Back in the day we would go to the polished Columbia BLUE DOT. Plastic is the only way to go on a super dry lane condition.
5:18 what is this called? I’m new to bowling and my natural throw gives me this. A reverse hook with my right arm
PACKYYYYY
Does this Bowling Center has 2 floors of bowling lane cuz I'm noticing it is so big
Another video coming soon! It’s the national bowling stadium! 😁👀
This is how they oil the lanes at my local center. The pattern is called extra crispy.
Are you calling me fat? 🤣
that bowling alley reminds me of a hospital . so plain and drab yet newer
Well its usually fun of about 400 bowlers!
@@TheHouseBowling good God. Too many. Lol we have a 15 lane at the end of a corn field nice place though. 80-100. It's packed
Probably try to suitcase low rev hook the lane
Welcome to our typical house shot 😅😅😅😅
What camera are you shooting with?
Lloyd brought out a Sony fx6 with some nice nice lenses!
My Friday morning league bowls with practically no oil it’s definitely interesting to change up
"You calling me fat?" Bahahaha
This lane acts just like my college lanes 😅
My favorite factoid about the national Bowling Stadium is it's address: 300 University Way, Reno, NV
This is pretty much every other week at my local lane. Gotta use the spare ball all night to even have a chance.
Just like bowling the last game of the night....on a Saturday.... without the beer spilled all over the approach.
still wiping the bowling ball off haha
Is this where king pin was filmed?
Fourth, plus, your videos are amazing Packy, keep it up
Kool And The Gang - Celebration
How much does the NBS actually get used?
This year it’ll be packed for three months straight at the open and hosting a few regionals with some other events as wel!
Hater ball, straight at the pocket.
how did I get here before this was done? 5x5=25x5=125x5=625x5=3125
😁
I got to experience what no oil feels like at a mall in NY recently, it’s called pinz, couldn’t even possibly recommend it to anybody that curves cuz it forces u to throw straight
That place really does look like a stadium.
He’s making the suction pop with a house ball.. insane
😂😂

I actually had a league night where the oil machine broke so they stripped the oil, I shot 530 with a 200 and there were only 4 200's lol
Thats crazy!! Awesome bowling, I think I might need some lessons if we ever do this challenge again!
Breaking point Down lane: 0ft 🤣 that dry ash. An I gotta say I’ve bowled on dry lanes but not completely dry 😅.
What is your plastic ball its look cool
