- Are you trying to format your USB EXFAT on PS4? In this video, I will show you how to fix "PS4 USB File system is not supported" with NO PC NEEDED! To format a USB device on the PS4, you do not need a PC.This also includes formatting an external hard drive on the PS4. You can format the external hard drive to exfat without a PC. Go to settings, devices, USB storage devices and hit options to format the USB device or go to set up extended storage for an external hard drive. This will also fix Ce - 37857-0 error on the PS4.

This video wasn’t too helpful. For the problem still exist with “Formatting the External Hard Drive” for additional storage space. We are here for storing “Video Games” not pictures and videos....
From what I know you gotta buy a specific hard drive depending on which system you're on man. So I'm on PS4 and I got the Seagate 2TB PS4 Game Drive and I put COD, Spiderman and GOW on it. Keep in mind you can only play games (that's on that Game Drive) from the PSN account you downloaded it on

Yes, if you format your drive, it will delete the applications (games) on that drive. However, you should be able to reinstall the games you purchased and depending on how many games you have will determine how long it will take to reinstall those games.
@@topsy7crets ok but if you reisntall your games, will your progression be gone or not? With games like Withcher 3, RDR2, Ghost of Tsushima I played hours and I dont wanna lose my progress. Will I or not? I ask this cause my external hard drive from seagate is beepimg and suddenly cannoy be used cause it aint a exfat
@@JaSe-qq9wk No, if you just delete the application (game) your save files won't be deleted, and you should be able to reinstall your game and pick up where you left off. You can also backup your save files to the cloud, the only thing is you have to have ps plus in order to save to the cloud and to have access to those save files.
The question I’m asking is like if I format it as exfat will it delete all of my data on my usb that I had previously on there for other important things or is it talking about the PlayStations hardware

If it doesn't work try a different 3.0 usb, it was my problem a while ago all I did is find another 3.0 usb and it worked. I hope this helps

Thanks, man. Didn't think to just press option. Been moving files around like crazy to clear one of my 500gb hd. Having to record from my PlayStation to get the 1080p60 HD. Computer isn't strong enough to capture passed 720p60. Struggle.

I did the same thing to reformat it and my storage device is a 1 terabyte and it still says that I cannot use it as an external hard drive and I just got it from Amazon and haven't had time to put anything on it I just plugged in did the steps to use it as an external storage device 2 Days Later got the same message you did I got that so I can do updates for the newer games that I just recently got in games I still haven't got around to using yet I'm almost completely out of memory that's why I bought the device you got any suggestions I would be very happy

I did the exfat and then when I went to load my game, after switching back to extended storage, it said connect the storage device that it's on. I already had it plugged in. I finally got 2 other games loaded, but can't load MW. At first, it had corrupted data, but I couldn't get the safe mode menu to rebuild, but later I did (when I changed my cord). Now, it shows it loaded, but won't open. Idk what to do. It has 2 bars over the middle.

I'm having problems similar to this. But honestly didn't have any issues before this new software update 9.0 for the ps4. I have a newer version ps4 slim. I have a 2TB Seagate use for external storage and have most of all my games data on it. And now since the 9.0 software update...my system will not play game disks. Hits me with a pop up error that says it cant start the application. All games disks are in perfect condition no scratches or whatever. The 2TB Seagate I use for external storage on starting up my system the ps4 bust my head open with a pop up error that told me it was corrupted and had to be repaired. Then that error changed to a pop up low blow that says the usb device cannot be used and to reformat it. I'm not trying to lose all my data which took so long to download these games. Redownloading isn't that serious but without internet access and knowing I'd have to redownload everything would be a BRUTALITY! Flawless Victory by Sony CPU with no hands. I mean like I lose all my data and have all these issues now because I installed the 9.0 system update and they're the ones that messed up somewhere in that update. I'm PSplus and love Sony but maan this kut me Trill deep. Trill deep. Expect these things from Nintendo and Microsoft but not Sony. Only jk. Yeah well these are my issues.
