I actually have a "backup" sound setup which is just a simple usb sound card with hd6xx cause the stack does run very hot! It's currently winter here in Melbourne so it's working out well but when summer comes I'll definitely switch over.

I own the OWC hub and I'll get the cable matters adapter for my M2 Pro MacBook Pro 14 while connected to the LG C2 42 inch tv, Does this combo guarantee a solid 4k 120hz on Mac or do I need extra updates for the adapter to work properly? I know this was an issue for M1 MacBooks, but my 14 inch M2 Pro already supports the 4k 120hz standard via built in HDMI port, but I want everything to be connected to the OWC hub.
If you have an M2 I think 120hz works out of the box. If it doesn't then I'd look into flashing the firmware of your HDMI adapter. That's what worked for me 😀

@@edoardomarchesi1938 Yes, all the peripherals plug into the hub. From there you only need one cable going from the hub into the macbook pro and that's it!
I know it would be really interesting, but as a software developer why do you need so much storage? I am cool with my 512gbs with half of them empty, I have several docker containers, VMs, and several legacy big projects :D
Oh as a developer you definitely don't need a lot of storage... Well, it actually depends. If ever you want to self host your own AI models those could take a chunk of storage space. I mostly use mine for those and of course media 😀

Still running a v1 modi/magni for dt990’s works pretty well but gets hotter than the sun.
