What was your favourite moment of series 3?
The dance scene
Fav action: killing the accountant in that policeman disguise with motorcycle, the way V walked and then shoot him and the way they made it seem Carolyn was the target, GOD! But still so underrated scene thought.
Fav quote: "heroes get girls only in Hollywood" and every sarcastic comment dropped by Carolyn's mouth.
Fav Villaneve scene: the bus. Just hilarious and unique (smell me EVE 😂😂😂)
Basically any Villanelle scene but definitely the last 10 minutes of episode 5. That is Jodie’s award winning performance for sure.
The dance hall - when Villanelle watches the couples dancing and says, "I want to feel like them." and Eve immediately pivots from everything else going on in her life and switches to focus on Villanelle's state of mind/emotional state - "What's wrong?" The nuance of how attuned they are with each other.
The dance scene has already been mentioned, so the bus scene and Carolyn "parenting" Konstantin, the MI6/The Twelve double agent and telling Eve and Villanelle to sit down on the couch are notable ones too.
I feel like Carolyn has gone through the grief of losing Kenny throughout the season, only to realize that she cannot take down the Twelve. Sad knowing that for safety reasons, she can't share it or process her grief with Geraldine, otherwise she might get herself killed too.
What I got from this is that Jodie and Sandra have good WiFi
HAHAH
Hahaha
Jodie Comer is so different in real life. Aside from her obvious accent, the tone of her voice, her body language and her eyes (more 'open' in character) are all different. An amazing actor.
Jesus, Sandra Oh really GETS it. Every word she says on her own analysis of what's going on has me like "wow... yeah actually- damn"
Yes and I love the way she expresses and interprets everything 😊
She is brilliant. And gorgeous
Yes! And she has zero patience for fatuous questions.
Isn't she a producer?
Sandra is the executive producer of the show. So I would think she would know what is going on
Konstantin's daughter could easily become Villanelle's sidekick assassin in S4.
I disagree. She's literally just a child looking for attention. She was cool in season1 then they ruined her character. She's not up to Villanelle at all
Jessie Sc I agree they ruined her character. Her character development was so good , showing how clever and quick-witted she is. Then they just dropped the ball turning her into a delinquent running over her mom’s boyfriend . Like where did that come from ?
I would say she is really smart but boring, myb she would be good assasin because of her knowledge and lack of empathy
I just binged all 3 seasons of Killing Eve in 1 week. I am addicted! Jodie Comer and Sandra Oh are amazing!
Same so addicted
Was on ket last night and I was seeing her was insane
Did in 4 days last week..cant blv myself lol
same, I'm obsessed and I don't want it to end lol
I binged it and finished in 3 days
Sandra man. Damn she's so deep in thought about this show
she is really passionate about here craft and others acting with her, the entire process.
I showed my mother the episode with Vilanelle’s family...and now for some reason she won’t stop saying how much she loves me...
That’s understandable
lolol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣
Ahahah
Fiona Shaw is so incredibly eloquent, insightful and charismatic and her screen presence is fascinating.
I finally could hear a mild Irish accent !! She mentioned being Irish in her Bafta speech, but I honestly couldn't tell till now. I've got to remember to see IF I can hear it during the show (probably not) or other times out of character.
Carolyn is my fave character
Yes she gives off Julie Andrews vibes. So classy.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 She is in fact Irish, from Co. Cork
She's an amazing actress
I binged this whole series in 3 days...my life is now dedicated
MEEEEEEEE I even rewatched it
@@teacat2686 rewatched it back to back 😭can’t get over the end
By far my fav moment was Villanelle confronting her mother about abandonment it was powerful and necessary for her to get that off her chest . Her mother was ALSO the darkness !!!
Completely agree!
True her mother abandon her because she has darkness but she is the mom she should have love and accepted and love her daughter and care for her....
I thought the train scene at the end of that episode was the most powerful couple of minutes in the whole series.
What really surprised me was Villanelle's anxiety when her mother arrived home I had no idea she remembered her and didn't believed her mum would be kind and loving - reminds me of my grandmother two faced and dark.
@jess corletto Right?? As I’m rewatching it, I started noticing intricate details like how her brother wasn’t surprised by her reaction, & tried to calm her down. And her mother’s reaction to her speaking the step father... was it jealousy brought carried over from Villanelle’s father? Or was she worried about what she was saying to him? Or both? The show is layered, and leaves things to the imagination... Love it
Jodie's skin is so bright hurts my eyes! 😳
Her skin do be glowing doe 😳
i have several favorite moments:
-when eve screams no at carolyn and then walks out the door backwards and waves like she’s drunk haha
-the bus scene of course
-when dasha walks back to villanelle after throwing the baby away and villanelle mocks her and makes a funny face
-when villanelle visits eves work
-the bridge scene❤️😍😍😍
So many moments we all loved and enjoyed this season 😌
" The good ones I pickle . The bad ones...you dont want to know."
@Lezfun Fan I love her reaction to the baby throwing food at Dasha haha
Jodie looks about 20 years old I’m so jealous of her skin😩❤️
She is glowing!! 😍😍
Jodie's skin should have a warning sign " use eye protection"
😎
Well, to be fair, she is only 27 haha. But yes, that ring light and natural light has her looking extra amazing. Very pretty young woman.
She is sponsored by a skincare company and knows how to use bronzer/highlighter very well too 😂
Sandra is so well spoken and has such a beautiful voice, I can't believe it is possible to be so enamored with someone's way of speaking
please watch her in Grey's anatomy where Shonda fuckin fantastic Rhymes's cast her !
Don't forget "Piss off FOREVER" said/wrote by Niko. That was when Eve realizes he doesn't want her anymore and she can't hold on to him or an idealization of her previous life.
It was past time for his character to be history.
Big applause for the interviewer for asking sensible questions.
I love how Sandra doesn't hesitate to respectfully disagree with the host's analyses. It's really refreshing and leads to a lot of thoughtful conclusions
Everyone on Killing Eve just fits perfectly. Love it. Bring on season 4!
Seems to have ended perfectly.. so no S4, but maybe a reflections of individual character perspectives
I love this show. Jodie is a beautiful woman, Sandra too. They're characters are amazing.
Amazing characters and amazing actors 😊
Fiona too, Fiona too.
@@j.b.9260 I really love that Character too, I love her in all of roles.
SANDRA OH HAS A BIG BRAIN PASS IT ON ❤️❤️❤️❤️
and it's so creative, too. Her choices in speaking , her passion, etc.
Fall in love with Sandra and Jodie more and more every time I watch them
Jodie looks so young and simple when at home, shes really a good actress very different to villanelle oh my goshhhhhhhh and eve is so sassy and very good also, this actressess are a good match and what a very good series.... ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Agreed
I don’t want them to walk away! I really want Eve and Villanelle to be together!!!
I guess Jodie didn't mean that they're not gonna be together, I guess she was saying that Eve and Villanelle both made sure that they need each other and don't want to leave one another behind and then they walk away with that realization, knowing that it's mutual and nothing of it is forced or manipulative or possesive
How Miranda manages to listen to the in depth, emotional and insightful answers given and carry on to the next question, without having to say, "wow, yes! That was incredible", is beyond me. Fascinating and wonderfully articulate interviewees. The best I've seen.
she does more, too. I subscribed because of her.
Villanelle my QUEEEEEEEN 🥰 she can literally tell me that she wants to kill me and I’d be like “yes ma’am 😍”
😂😂😂
*I LOVE the idea of Phoebe playing the leader of the Twelve! This series has such an powerful female element and that would be the cherry on top of the cake.* 😘👌 *chef's kiss
Jodie is so precious 🥺 look at her
Love your profile photo 😌
our favourite singer oh thank you 😌
Is Jodie rocking some tie-dye pyjamas here? If so ... great choice! The end of S3 was perfect. A shift in the balance of power - an acknowledgement from Villanelle that Eve is no longer her plaything - they are equals.
and yet they ruined later on.
Nope, still not over the ending 😭
Jodie rocks anything she wears.
Not to forget about Fiona Shaw, exceptional actress, I found that out about her when she was in True Blood. Love that lady!!!
True Blood? the movie or series.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 The Series
@@debrakirkley4590 Huh, didn't know she was in it, wow. Thanks.
@@KindCountsDeb3773 She played a "Witch" a Southern Witch in which she did a great job with the accent as well. It was towards the end of the Series. I love this lady especially in Killing Eve, such a classy lady.
Jodie comer is gorgeous
inside and out.
Fiona Shaw delivers those amazing one liners to perfection
The ballroom scene is to me the second most important scene in the series. Such a beautiful transition.
Carolyn might be a disastrous mother but she is magnanimous in so many ways. Lives a succinct tempo of her own truth and a bit remarkable in the finesse of all her scenes and interplay with all the actors in Killing Eve. Bring Kenny back to life (did he fake his death?) Do we learn more about the 12’s agenda? Are there 12 agents of 12 countries?
My mother thought Villanelle would break Eve's neck on the bridge scene 😂😂 WTF. I guess she didn't understand the growth of Villanelle.
Not so much growth as just not wanting to have a boss anymore and being tired of killing people she’s told to kill (putting herself in harm’s way). She’s still a narcissistic sociopath.
@@JDMimeTHEFIRST Yeah, but you're missing the point, why she doesn't want to do it anymore. Its not just about being "tired" or bored. She has no purpose or a family. In some way she freed herself from her mother and tries to find her way.. well and yeah still a sociopath.
@@JDMimeTHEFIRST sociopath isn’t a diagnosis anymore. but even if villanelle had ASPD that doesn’t make her a bad person that just makes her different. yah she killed a lot of ppl but that’s what she was made to do. she didn’t know any better before but u can tell that she did grow and start to feel bad for the things she had done.
Myself I love the part where villanelle steals the baby and they at lunch and the baby is kinda listening to villanelle and throws bread at Dasha. Dasha then puts baby in bin. I chuckled over that.
Also villanelle jumping shouting this would be a very bad way to die scarring konstantin . The the bus scene was so good, Villanelle was blown away did not expect that. Then the dance so beautiful moving to bridge was them getting close a new understanding between them . I think they should walk away but meet up as they do in there bubble.
Fantastic show love every thing about it amazing talented strong lady actress.
I really love this show. I love the dark comedic aspect of the show combined with great performances and great writing all centered around 3 strong women. The final scene of the final episode really was heartbreaking for me: I really wanted (want) them to be together despite their backgrounds. Eve becomes more daring and adamant about what she wants/needs, while Villanelle grows tired of her empty career and surrenders to needing to be loved; they both move toward each other and move and meet in the "center". It's a testament to the great writing/acting that makes you root for them both and want a happy ending despite where the characters started from.
Can't believe I finished all seasons in under 4days
Absolutely love Killing Eve! Dynamite cast especially Jodie 😍✨
Are we ever gonna get this discussion for season 4, that seems necessary at this point. Would love to see what the thought process was and how the actors felt about it.
Fiona, jodie, Sandra & Suzanne were absoultey amazing in this interview. I'm a huge villianelle fan and in this season every character has come to life and really shown themselves and each character is the lead in their own rights. I feel each could easily have their own series. Fiona really captivated me ❤️ beautiful writing & directing . Everything has worked so well together. Beautiful display of chemistry between everyone.
Wonderful interview I really enjoyed it. X
The casting director deserves an oscar! She/he nailed it!!
Jodie is so beautiful 🥺❤️
The family episode was my absolute favorite.
Can you believe some people don't like it. Madness.
Jodie. I love you...but, they will not walk away. My mental heath relies solely on this series lol
BUFFY WENTIN- ODEED bruh are you joking
If you think about it though the narrative wouldn't go to "and they get together/stay together".
The characters are sooo drawn to what they think the other represents but they are also soooo very unsuited.
You can explore a richer dynamic and stories with them interacting more than 'stay together'.
@BUFFY WENTIN- ODEED a lot of people use TV as escapism
I think they actually walk away from each other... but they will look for each other again and there... there ... I think we will enjoy those reunions. I am just guessing and creating lots of scenarios in my mind. The point is that even if they walk away in the first episode of season 4 doesn’t mean it is going to be a bad decision 😉 They can’t be far away from each other anyways, that’s a fact that was very marked on season 3
How's that mental health after S4 ending
Can Sandra write a piece analyzing the relationship between Eve and Villanelle and their characters' growth while we are in suspense please!!!! Oh please tell me more about the character on set and the dynamic, my happinese depends on it!
her "ehmmm" is adorable
and when she finishes a thought, she says "yeah" a lot, as an ending. I have heard the "ehmm" and "yeah" a lot, guess they alerted me to it's use. I find it charming. I love all the British people's accents. Although as an American, it sometimes flies over my head if they talk too fast !!
The dialogue about family dynamics is very engaging and illuminating in the context of the story. 'very insightful discussion. ☺️
all this analysis and answered questions, comments , etc. make me want to start over and watch 1 - 3 to reflect more on some scenes !! lol
she has nailed scouse aswell
Haha! I think, the first genuinely funny "comment" I've ever read
love Jodie and her character
Never heard Jodie speak with her own accent and she actually has a really pretty pleasant voice. Was a nice surprise. Makes me love her and her work even more! :)
I love Suzanne Heathcote so much. The way she thought about everything, the characters' developpment, the risks that she took and assumed totally. That's what the show is about and Phoebe's decision of passing the batton.
The writer for season 4 was a huge mistake.
@@janetdotson7829but that’s another one
they certainly did fiona dirty with that thumbnail
LMAO
Jodie literally is the sweetest
For those of us who had no idea what Jodie's real accent was, we wouldn't have been any the wiser if she used it for a character. And I held off watching the final episode for sooo long because I didn't want it to be over :)
I think the issue is that it's a very specific regional accent - Villanelle would be killing people in power and a lot of people lose their (English) regional accents to blend in in politics etc. The only reason to include it would be to wink at the audience. It would also lead to authenticity questions as Villanelle could potentially need to give an accurate description of something in Liverpool, whereas her English speaking accents have tended to be from very broad areas that are much harder to pin down
Sandra Oh is so articulate and thoughtful...and I love her acting. Especially that left eyebrow that is so expressive...And I absolutely loved that 'family dance' scene.
her family? Her reluctance to expose herself dancing was funny, then she kind of "lightly" danced a bit and sang a loud note !! Hilarious . Her body language was terrific.
Three amazingly successful, smart, brilliant women! The whole cast is amazing! Cannot wait to see what epic moments season 4 is gonna bring us 😍
I just finished the third season yesterday and omg I need season 4 already. Each season gets better and better!
What a wonderful interviewer Miranda Sawyer is, a pleasure to watch this Q&A.
More than pleasure !!!
Everyone involved in this show are at the top of their game. The writing and acting are a master class on how to create a brilliant show.
I love Jodie's (natural) Liverpudlian accent 😍
I just love them all. Honestly i’m so so obsessed with the way they all are. They’re just so into the show and it makes it even more GREAT!
Great interview; loved how Miranda's personality put everyone at their ease. That way, we actually got to learn something...NEW!
I love Fiona Shaw so much
I want more new series of Killing Eve please....... 🙏🏼
One of a kind. Can anything in it's genre ever be as good, from the first minute until the last.
I binge watched 3 seasons in 3 days! It’s sooooo fucking addictive!
I adore Fiona Shaw so much as well!!
I love this show so much!! It’s so incredible and bad ass and Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer are fantastic! I’m so inspired by both of them and just adore and admire them like beyond!!!
Suzanne really pushed the bar. Glad she really got to the essence of the characters so well this season. I also liked how this season they mixed up the soundtrack of the show, with more bands than the usual one. Also adding an intro? That was new! Anyway, all this to say, this season was great!
I’ve been heartbroken for days bc of the season 4 ending. My heart hurts haha I can’t believe this show got to me this way. I’m mourning Villanelle 😂😢
Me too 😢. I thought the season 3 ending meant the turn around signified that they couldn't walk away from each other. I totally expected them to be a couple of some kind in S4. As a whole I think S4 was a little disappointing.
love jodie! love killing eve
Thank you all for another fantastic series of Killing Eve, can't wait till the next the next:)
You all look beautiful, I guess lockdown has given you all time to rest, fingers crossed you can all start filming SOOOOOOOOOON!
The best scene for me in season 3 was Villanelle finding out about Carolyn and Konstantin's relationship. Her facial expressions were incredible. Her acting was perfection. Chef's kiss 😘
Binged all three seasons. The show is stunning, character amazing and cinematography out of this world
Fantastic acting and so addictive, Jodie gomer will end up a legend in Hollywood in a few years time
She's already won the Emmy.
@@jazzx251I don't see Hollywood as a goal. She's a woman first and an actress second but internationally
Just finished watching killing eve. Villanelle is an amazing actress. I got really scared of her. The character really reflects on her face . In interviews she very sweet. I love her
fiona's expression when she laughs is priceless
I really love Jodie )))❤️❤️❤️ and her russian accent is soo cute
Alarm set!!! I am beyond excited to watch this.
I love the dance scene between them two as well!!’
what we have here are three beautiful, intelligent women who are also 3 very talented actresses. Well done to Fiona, Jodie and Sandra, it's a pleasure to watch their performances on screen💜
You know what...
There definitely needs to be MORE than 8 episodes per season. Hey, the show could certainly support 10 or 15 episodes with the commercials on both BBC and AMC networks airing the show. Personally, I vote for 16 episodes.
49:02 soooooo precious 😭
Season 3 was so much better than s2. I thought it was getting boring s2 but with them showing Jodie's well her character's background and you could see how she evolved to become the assassin she is today just elevated the show back to interesting. Looking forward to s4. Her outfits- who plays golf dressed like that????
I reckon the show is gonna kill Eve and villanelle together in the final ever episode. Kind of in the poetry of Thelma and Louise
I will love my shit
Love Jodie Comer's accent! 😍👍
These women are so amazing!!! 💕🔥
These are all intricate , nuance performances …. Well said Sandra
Awesome interview. Great questions.
I really liked this interview. I love exploring the characters through the actor's eyes.
I finished all 3 seasons in 2 days. I'm addicted to this show. The cast is really really good.
Enjoyed this conversation with these fantastic actors *about* series 3 far more than I enjoyed series 3.
I really needed this. Thank you so much!
Thank you. Every single moment was ..is..thrilling ..I want more ..
What a pleasure to watch this!
Really enjoyed this chat and insight on the writing and character development
Make season 4 more lengthy please 🙏 love yall
Ahhhh I wanted this to never end!
What a brilliant interview. The questions and answers were so thoughtful and interesting. Thank you!
