The best show in television, not only in the UK but internationally speaking. Phoebe's writing and mind are brilliant, the production was amazing and the acting simply perfect. I don't think anybody would've played Villanelle better than Jodie Comer. Much deserved awards and I hope many more to come.
Sensational. Jodie’s speech was the humble class of the awards. The way she fought through her nerves and delivered that tribute to her Nana Frances was a performance in its own right. So moving. To have such huge acting talent and natural charisma is a rare and beautiful thing. The sort of stuff that screen legends are born from.
Well, it's called acting. Actors' number one goal is make you believe they are the character and it's a rare occurrence that the character psychological profile and social backgrounds and current circumstances are exactly the same as the actor who's portraying it, unless it is a bio of themselves played by themselves. Having said that, Jodie Comer is very convincing as Villanelle and it doesn't hurt the character's trait are so charismatic, in the end she's a fine actress 👌.
Congratulations Jodi for your well-deserved award. I hope you get a few more along with your partner Sandra, because they really deserve it, especially for the final act of the second season. You arrived in Argentina, Mendoza, thanks to Killing Eve. We are just getting to know you, and you are really an excellent actress and wonderful person. You have your own brightness inside and outside the set. And that's worth a lot !!!
I just have to say, I'M IN-LOVE W PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE. I don't know of a more brilliant mind (or a more wonderfully warped mind for that matter). My Mother told me , "brilliance is the ultimate aphrodisiac" n She was so right. Brava to all the Killing Eve cast n crew; the best ensemble group on tv today.
Congrats to Fiona S. Lovely to see you in a beautiful dress after the character you play is so convincing. I really enjoy what you add to the show. Brava!
Fiona Shaw looks AMAzing! Hair, Makeup, Dress 💙 all perfection✨💫 ...Jodie Comer & Villanelle are two different people lolol😭 Her acting is beyond phenomenal
So odd to me that Jodie said this show doesn’t have a big message, there are so many! Women coming into their own, the desires of women, what women are capable of (good and bad), female rage - and that’s just the first season! Also it’s for the gays, realizing you’re into women (even if it’s a literal assassin), going against the social normals that we are conditioned into and leaning into what feels real, I could go on.
I fell in love for PWB at first sight and now (found it just today) I'm so happy to see her winning the BAFTA. Well deserved! I'll watch and celebrate all of the stuff just if her name appears somewhere in (or at?) the credits. No matter if in front or behind the camera. @PWB: I wish you all the best - and thank you for (I don't find the right words) all of your contribution to wo*menkinds culture! Thank you! I will always l.... y..! @Jodie: I'd wear a T-Shirt "I want to be more like Phoebe!".
Awright! Please tell this Yank about the accent that was discussed with Jodie. I gather it's from a specific area and am interested to know. Congrats on the BAFTA, all! I love the show.
She's from Liverpool. People from there are referred to as "scousers" with a "scouse" accent. Mid 1800's the port of Liverpool was booming attracting large numbers from Ireland and North Wales, and merged with the local Lancashire accent, resulted in a unique dialect of the UK. It's often spoken at a high tempo and is hard to understand. Members of the Beatles speak scouse but a slowed down version in order to be understood. I'm a native too but even I find the younger one's hard to understand because it's so fast and full of colloquialisms.
@@judithhand4987, further UK accent terms for you: People from Birmingham are Brummy, people from London are Cockney, people from Newcastle are Geordie, people from Glasgow are Weejie, and people from Dundee are heroin addicts. ;)
@@GracieLions Its a wonder you were allowed comment ! 😮. I was stopped from making a comment saying somebody was more beautiful than another in another video.
thats probably because he mostly wants to interview the main actors/writers for the show which happen to be women, i doubt him "ignoring" the others has anything to do with them being men.
I love how Fiona is like confidently answering with 'Yes' xD 'A red or a blue?' What does he mean? I'm not from the UK, does it mean somehting special there? I'm curious :) Oh, I spotted Ruth Wilson! Hey Mrs. Coulter! Can't wait for the last season of His Dark Materials! :D Nice joke Fiona 'Both hands. I always have empathy for women wearing those kind of shoes to events like this. Poor them >.< Loved the very last part, Jodie is still in shock xD Let lose some penned up energy, it was great XD I really love her humor :)
As stated they are the two teams from the city, but the added fact is that Jodie’s father works on the physio staff with Everton FC at their Finch Farm training complex. How could she not be a Blue? Excellent breeding! UTFT!!! 💙

Jodie didnt mention sandra oh haha and sandra in golden globes didnt mention jodie comer uhmmm maybe thats how it is coz its uk and usa awards soooo yeah hahahah
Uhm, I'm 11 mos late but Jodie mentioned Sandra during her Emmy speech and Sandra mentioned Jodie during her Critic's speech. Only when the other is around I guess. They don't mention the other when absent from that award.
Hello from Konstantin was so cute 😂😂😂
I like Konstantin
@@timurlang454 How can you not love Konstantin? I love him and Villanelle together.
The applause and excitement the cast had towards Jodie’s win warms my heart. She truly deserved this and her Emmy.

So well deserved....fantastic, original TV. I love the character Villanelle, Jodie Comer is the best actress to come along since Olivia Coleman.
Yes hopefully she'll follow in her footsteps and get an oscar too!
12:45 why is Villanelle staring at me like that?
just like in the train after killing her mom :)

She never does. I think its the eye makeup
She inhabits Villanelle so convincingly that you forget it's not a real person.

Why is everyone ignoring the Russian actor except Jodie at these awards.
i'm glad at least SOMEBODY noticed this. it feels so uncomfortable.
who are you talking about?
He is not Russian, he is a famous Danish actor from the country Denmark!

Maybe she's accepting another awards elsewhere
Probably back to back filming in the US. 😊
Jodie Comer has acted before without getting an Emmy. Just as important is PWB for creating/writing the Villanelle character
