A look inside the Shonan Monorail! A DAY TRIP to Enoshima from Tokyo and to do something different!

Just south of Tokyo is a nice, small railway. The Shonan monorail connects Ofuna to the popular town of Enoshima in Kanagawa Prefecture - perfect for day trips! What makes this monorail so awesome is that the track is above the cars. It seems a bit futuristic and the ride is a new perspective as you glide over the traffic below. Weather wasn't the best, but sure had a great time! It's a great addition to a day trip from Tokyo!

Andrew!! What a great report. I didn't know about this monorail (just like you said you didn't know about it when you first went to Japan). I had read a lot about the Enoden train in Kamakura, but I didn't know about this monorail. It was a nice experience, also good data on the Easter eggs hehehe.
