Excellent camera work From a visual perspective it Looks like a nightmare waiting to happen. I don't know what technology/ and engineering is being used though, but wouldn't being on top of a support beam make more sense. I wasn't paying attention, even missed the Japanese characters and thought it was somewhere in China at first. A monorail would make sense in Japan
If you are a sic-fi film fan, you may recognize this technology. The original French Safege test track was featured in the 1966 Truffaut film of Bradbury's 'Fahrenheit 451.'
Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System. This automated train is provided for the security and convenience of the Black Mesa Research Facility personnel. The time is 8:47 A.M. Current topside temperature is 93 degrees with an estimated high of one hundred and five. The Black Mesa Compound is maintained at a pleasant 68 degrees at all times.
This would have been great for NYC after MTA demolish the old elevated structures around the city. Would have been an alternative to the current subway system.
Could have worked for the 2nd Avenue corridor had they used their brains. Boring tunnels in an immensely crowded West Manhattan was & still is a stupid observation. The line is basically independent so there really wasn't a need to go heavy rail. Just my two cents tho.
This is in response to Du Calvin about the monorail being too loud. The Chiba Urban Monorail, built 18 years later, uses the same technology and is much quieter. You can barely hear the train flying by right above your head. It is fast and very quiet.
Some really great video there, and what a pleasing little train/monorail that is to watch. I could watch it all day. Thanks for posting.

Good morning, and welcome to the Black Mesa Transit System. This automated train is provided for the security and convenience of the Black Mesa Research Facility personnel. The time is 8:47 A.M. Current topside temperature is 93 degrees with an estimated high of one hundred and five. The Black Mesa Compound is maintained at a pleasant 68 degrees at all times.
really enjoyed this thanks
This would have been great for NYC after MTA demolish the old elevated structures around the city. Would have been an alternative to the current subway system.
Alrucards could work on new corridors
Could have worked for the 2nd Avenue corridor had they used their brains. Boring tunnels in an immensely crowded West Manhattan was & still is a stupid observation. The line is basically independent so there really wasn't a need to go heavy rail. Just my two cents tho.

うわー、素晴らしい。
So Cute
Love this-we need such development here in the US…UGeorgia to Atlanta, commuter service like this between Detroit-Lansing-Ann Arbor etc!!!
This is in response to Du Calvin about the monorail being too loud. The Chiba Urban Monorail, built 18 years later, uses the same technology and is much quieter. You can barely hear the train flying by right above your head. It is fast and very quiet.
