I can just see the music video being old war footage. First you see soldiers marching to the beat and then all hell breaks loose with them fighting each other. Fits well with the song.
@@utry_daniel438 actually changes a lot . from string tension to vibrations and vocal ranging but that is only noticeable by musicians and those who perform. in my band we play it half step down because I can't sing :P
jayden57 I’m hoping that’s not your opinion and your just making fun of the people that have no sense of melody and what sounds good or what is just noise. The reason Metallica and Iron Maiden have been the two most successful metal bands ever is because they are great songwriters. People want to hear great songs and catchy riffs and melodies regardless of how heavy it is. I would rather listen to Metallica and Maiden, Priest, Black Sabbath, old Rush, Queensryche, Helloween, Savatgae etc and a ton of other metal bands than any death or extreme metal band. I want to hear music not a bunch of noise. That’s my opinion and I stand by it. Heaviness alone to me does not make some thing great. You have to have a good piece of music to begin with and then make it heavy.
Ace Macen bro really? It’s a joke of course this is heavy even in original tuning slightly above E standard no need to cause shit just because of a joke
I like how it sounds. Both the original and this are way cool. This is the way Metallica plays the song live and it's nice to hear a studio like version of it. Way cool in my opinion
metallica was great when cliff was in the band, they were great up till the justice for all album even though i like the black album too, from then on, metallica played a totally different style and lost the passion for thrash. Their latest album was a good comeback but there's some people in the band who are not motivated at all, like kirk hammett and with all respect to robert, he isn't a thrasher, he doesn't have the allure of a thrash dude, he doesn't fit into a thrash band.. Metallica is great and i am glad they are still touring but you will never see the 1980's metallica, its gone and the band members have evolved and are grown up, they are not young and angry teen anymore, they have families, kids and business to take care of.
***** You're thinking of 2Chainz and all of that shitty radio rap. I mean GOOD new rap. Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Death Grips, Clipping, etc. All great artists. Don't base your opinion on new rap on Nicki Minaj. There's tons of great new rap.

I could tell from the first bell this was going to be amazing
Q
this sounds even better in Eb tunung
Bullshit, metallica died when they downtuned to Eb
@@oyvey8526 FUCK YOU BITCH!
oy vey fuck you
Jérémy Vigneault its kinda true man when metallica started tuning downa half step they’re fans started to disappear more and more
Ace Macen It was a pretty common tuning in the eighties. A ton of popular songs on the top 40 charts were in Eb standard back then.
Who else felt those chills like if it was the first time hearing this song again 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Yea when anyone listens to a Metallica Eb tuning video it’s like they are listening to the actual song for the first time again
@@JacksonGuitarsPlayer03 definitely man
Hell yeah dude

That would've been sweet!
That's ironic because the song is about the Spanish civil war
hell yeah!
+DeltaOracle257 I used to play Medal of Honor allied assault while listening to Ride the Lightning album. It perfectly set the mood :))
DeltaOracle257 for my WW2 lecture on the eastern front it was footage with period looking edits and this track to this tuning so I wouldn’t be CR’d
anyone else think the way the bass in the intro sounds like if it was Rob who is playing?
Thats cause they play in eb now to make it easier to sing
AeonAxis I think he meant the tone not the tuning

Slim_Pablo765 1:00 I thought it was mandatory suicide lol
Slayer also played in Eb tuning throughout most of their career.

Along with One, Fade to Black and Battery

That bass intro is not a solo
