- The BarDown team is back with another quiz, and this time around they'd like to provide more than 10 answers. After a conversation that started as a joke, Corwin, Luca, Sam and DZ decided to try out a new format for the quiz. The task was simple (yet extremely time consuming). Name NHL players until you can't!

Yeah because every player has a specific emotion attached to them. So it's really like a conversation in another language almost. I have kissed a man before just because he said Wade Boggs. I replied with Michael Jordan. We kissed. Afterwords I said Kirk Maltby and then s got real.

Quiz idea: Naming players but whatever the player's last name starts with , the next person has to name a player with their first name starting with that same letter. (ex. Sidney Crosby , Connor Mcdavid, Matt Barzal, Brad Marchand......) no repeating names , can be present or retired

Honestly, even repeating this format where the team is picked each time. Or you have to exhaust a team and the winner gets a point for each, tally them up at the end. Something like that. Really good one!

As another Coyotes fan, I also enjoyed seeing Luca have to name Coyotes players
that was one of the more entertaining quizzes y’all have done in a while! absolutely loved it
DZ you should of a vlog for one of the days you are filming a quiz to show us all the work that goes into it and how it’s set up. Then post this like a week after the certain quiz goes live so it’s not spoiled.

Also, this was great, and I still believe in Sam, even though he forgot Connor McDavid
Corwin got two extra strikes. He got a strike for Couturier, naming Markstrom when he was already named, and being unable to name a Sharks player.
Nah, he got one extra from winning the bonus round. So those were Couturier and Markström. Then he was eliminated on the Sharks one, but since Corwin started Luca had to name one more to win. Since he couldn't they were both eliminated in the same round. Hence the tiebreaker round.
This was an incredibly fun one, and it reminds me of a lot of the old quizzes which were like "name all of the previous Stanley Cup Winers in reverse order" or "count from 0-100 using player numbers" etc. I'd love to see more like this.

Hands down the most entertaining quiz ever. I was right there sweating with them. I'd love to see them have to do this for the NFL or MLB.

fun idea!! reminds me of a game my friends play where you go head to head and someone names a movie and then someone needs to name an actor from that film, and then the next person has to name ANOTHER film that actor has been in and back and forth with no repeating. Could be a fun twist on this...go to head to head and someone names a hockey franchise, then someone names a player from that franchise and then the next has to name someone who was a teammate of that player (on any team)...back and forth with no repeats!

Seeing such a small amount of Canes players named is scary seeing as they are 2nd in the league. This video was insanely good!
Great bonus round would be the Carolina Hurricanes 05 - 06 Stanley Cup Roster. Also only 4 canes named, yall are sleeping on them
Jesse would be disappointed, 33 minutes into the video they finally named their first jet, had the whole roster to play with and got two total 😅
This was a really fun format- maybe we can see more head to head types of quizzes? Or like a playoff bracket style quiz would be fun
Favourite Bardown memory has gotta be the entirety of the alphabet quiz… a classic that I go back to, and will now never forget a player with the last name that starts with i

I'm not sure if this has been done before but an NHL Journeymen Quiz may be fun. You could name a player and the BarDown team would have to name the teams they played for. You could also do something where you name two franchises and the BarDown team has to name someone who has played for both teams.

Fun fact, in the swedish olympic team from 2006 played Kenny Jönsson, brother of Jörgen Jönsson, Kenny at the time didnt even play in the highest league in Sweden, he played in Rögle BK who was at the time playing in Hockeyallsvenskan, the second league in Sweden.

They should do one where it’s name 100 players from your favorite team. We know who everyone likes. Jesse is with Winnipeg, Luca is with Colorado, etc.
Unreal they’re naming guys who have played like 2 games before any Winnipeg Jets players.
Bonus Round Question: In the early days of Hockey there was a 6th position. Once the NHL was formed they removed the position as they found the ice was too crowded, however the PCHA kept the position this caused a compromise too be made during the challenge cup (Stanley Cup) matches games would alternate between NHL and PCHA rules, the position disappeared from professional hockey in 1923. What was the position called?
You might want to shorten the question just wanted to provide a lot of info, also quiz idea NHL related (players) quiz.
I really liked this format! Maybe you could try and do it tournament style and do like Luca vs Jessie and Corwin vs Sam, then the winners face each other.
Definitely the best quiz in long time. I love the quizzes where you can just rifle off names like the 1-99 quiz.
I love how these quizzes are set up for Corwin. Ok Corwin name a hockey player who wore #99? Ok Luca can you name a player who wore #93? Ok Corwin name a player who wore #66 for the Penguins? Ok Luca name a player who wore # 9 for the Seattle Metropolitans?
How Luca spaced on the Coyotes there with Jason Zucker, Nick Bjudstad, Connor Ingram, and Zach Sanford left on the board is wild.

Love this quiz. I thought the best parts were when Luca & Corwin picked a theme for their picks. So how about a similar naming players quiz but each player has to be connected to the previous pick somehow - first name / last name / team / country, whatever you decide.
I think in a quiz like this, I would've prefered to see how many players they could collectively name rather than having a winner.
I'd love to see one in this style but like - name Finnish players until you can't, name Russian players until you can't etc etc
