if you use smb for aqua regia and you got the reaction going and a light brown powder its that the gold if you dont knew exactly what in solution espcialy from gold ore baring materiales and after washing remaine light brown powder is that the gold or some thing else

Copperas... It is a Plant Food. After you put it into solution...BEFORE ADDING IT TO YOUR GOLD BEARING SOLUTION, it is wise to filter it three or four times as it contains Iron.

Is it better to drop using Ascorbic Acid, rather than Copperas, when dealing with a dirty solution?
Ascorbic Acid is way too strong precipitant. Depends on your target, but I would be careful trying it on really dirty solution

For dirty solutions I recommend to use copperas - Iron(II) sulfate - FeSO4

Do you mix copperas in water and use just like SMB?

Hi! I'm trying to dissolve it whenever possible. Unless I'm risking to get way too diluted Aqua Regia
