      I managed to get some sweet footage from the Lounge Mobile when I arrived on the EKA380. It’s not really much of a lounge inside though, it could be your ordinary NYC subway😅

    For some reason I drink far more ginger ale when I visit north America than I ever do in Australia. JetBlue didn't have E170/175, but does have PTV on its E190/195. Loved seeing IAD and the city views of Montreal.

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 года назад +1

      I actually never drink any ginger ale.. I just had it cause I asked “for something Canadian”. You made me think about it! It must be good mixed with something.. And yes, JetBlue has them indeed, have to try them!
      See you next video!

    Another great vlog as usual Alex I had never heard of this airline had no idea air Canada had this

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 года назад

      It’s their regional branch. People work under different contracts and salaries, for the passenger nothing changes though..
      Happens in almost all countries! Lufthansa would have the Cityline brand, KLM has Cityhopper, Air France has HOP!, British Airways has Cityflier, etc etc..! too many to mention!

  • @EverythingFlight
    @EverythingFlight 2 года назад +3

    I love how many planes you were able to spot and share details while taxing!
    Great that you can also have individual screens on the small Embraers, we haven't seen this here in Europe thus far.
    New subs here, great content! ✈

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for joining the club!
      Yeah, I can’t think of a single airline in Europe offering either the screens or the very comfortably padded seats..
      I hope quality in Europe improves as people really settle for little!

    Nice video and great knowledge of the E175. We use TO2 and sometimes TO1. Flap 2 is used for T/O but I've had quite a few instances lately where I used Flap 1 (taking off from Houston for example). We don't have TO3 on our E175. Glad you liked the flight. Also you're correct on the landing flap. The majority of the time we use FLAP5 for landing, while FLAP FULL is used in places like LaGuardia, or whenever performance data dictates it. Cheers.

    Wow you did some serious plane spotting while at IAD! Last time I was there was summer 2021 flew in on Etihad 787 and flew out on an old 737 United. I'm so surprised you even had an IFE. Granted it was slow as my old windows 98 pc from the 90's! lol! You were flying in my neck of the woods now up the east coast over New England! Hope you have a good time and look forward to seeing what you will show us next! Great video!

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  2 года назад +1

      There was nothing much to do at the Z concourse so had to watch some planes instead😛
      And yes, the IFE was definitely like that fridge people used to carry around, aka “laptop”. It was able to break my patience!

    • @TheLayoverAviation
      @TheLayoverAviation  Год назад

      I’m not sure about the baggage allowance as I rarely fly with a checked in suitcase..
      It also depends if you’re a frequent flier or not, as it gives you extra baggage allowance.

      Thanks Peter.
      So what annoys me about channels where they voice over is that I just can’t hear the planes and ambiance, so I wanted to change that.
      But as this channels serves many continents I know that fast reading and language barriers can be an issue, so yes, I might change it at some point.. But I’m afraid I would just be talking as there is just so much info to share!
