*Correction:* at the 3:30 mark I meant to say over MSRP on the Z06
Curious about eray production
@@bkouns1 as of right now only three production cars have rolled off the line. They've moved target production dates to early next month so time will tell if that holds
I STILL THINK the 2019 Z06 is a better car for the money than the C8 Z06 and it has a LOT more Torque with just as much Horsepower.
Nah lol @@vthomas2313
The hardest part about purchasing a new C8 Corvette is the dealership I’ve been going round and round with them for years In Las Vegas Nevada and still haven’t been able to purchase a C8 because I will not be treated the way dealerships think they can treat the customers with the outrageous price gouging, you’re thinking why don’t you just buy it out of state my answer to that is I don’t need a Corvette that bad. I’ll wait till GM thinks they need to sell them. It might take a few dealerships closing down to get them to change their ways
👏👏👏👏
It's called customers finally coming to their senses. 😂😂
Yes. And to top it off, 7 percent interest or more? Ouch.
Visited the factory two months ago - they said building 95 vettes a day and 40% are z06. So lots of z06 around and if c8 demand dies factory will build more z06 due to much larger profit on these higher prices.
Good info for sure. Thanks for sharing. I have heard similar things and seeing as how strong the Z06 production has been so far in 2024 MY production. Z06s quantities are jumping.
Those Z06s are going to follow the same supply/demand trajectory as the Stingrays.
Stingrays used to cost almost as much as Z06 MSRP when there used to be markups on them early on when the generation was launched. Now that the Z06 has made it clear that Stingrays are not that special, Stingray supply and Z06 demand have both caused the demand of Stingray to die down. Once Z06's become plentiful, their markups will also disappear.
This is how pricing has to move over time because GM is a volume manufacturer. They make profit and stay in business by manufacturing high volume of cars. That obviously will drive down prices. We are not living in fantasy land where GM keeps supply low to keep price per unit high. That cannot happen, since the company will collapse quickly without volume. Therefore, anyone who thought C8 prices were going to be marked up forever are arguing against business and economic fundamentals.
On the factory tour I saw a couple unusual looking front bumpers on the racks where they were stored and I asked the guide what those odd looking bumpers - partially covered with a tarp. He mumbled something under his breath as he coughed and I heard- ZR1. My guess is they closed the factory earlier last month to tours because they were beginning to assemble zr1’s and needed to avoid prying eyes. Once they start building Zr1’s many Z06 buyers that exclusivity is more important than price, will sell their Z06 and high end demand will move to this likely $200,000 plus model, if they are building 50 Z06 everyday / by the end of 2024 my guess is that this first $150,000 vette model can be ordered at a discount.
Who here think a ZE1 will be:
A: A ZO6 with an E-Ray front drivetrain. (I gotta admit I already thought of this)
B; An all EV Vette (Cause yeah, I could see these stupid .gov EV-pushing retards thinking that’s what Corvette buyers want.
Total disclosure is I’m not a Corvette kind of guy, I’ve always seen them in their niche of automotive history and rank, but it’s really never been my style.
That being said: I’m willing to dive into an E Ray, & see a ZO6/ERay Version as bad ass, but they can go climb a 100’ wall of dildos with their hands tied behind their backs if they think I am going to buy an All-EV Corvette.
Thanks for sharing my dealership info 🔥
Hey man. Hope it was ok. It's a killer deal for someone. Big fan. On behalf of all Corvette fans thanks for being an awesome dealer through the pandemic when others were abusing customers.
Great information! Got my 2024 at msrp
I recently got to drive one of these a few weeks ago. Keep in mind that I have driven a few exotic cars in the past. Yes, the Zo6 looks great, and handles ok... But there's definitely some room for improvement in the overall handling. But that is strictly my opinion.
Dealers are really worried about inventory cars falling in prices and scared ordered cars will see their customer cancel the order leaving them with more cars.
I think its only a matter of time before we start seeing small discounts on ordered cars. Once the first large dealer starts offering it, others will follow.
I've been waiting on the Z06 list at the local dealer for 2 years. They are telling me I will be able to order my build at the end of this year. I went to the build site and a fully loaded convertible is about 185k. I doubt I'll get it any cheaper
@JumpSquadAuto Is it worth it to buy a z06 with the z07 performance package today? Dealer is asking for $10k mark up. Do you think the zo6s will hold their value?
The party is over on the Z06
This is how I thought the pricing trends would go for the various models of the C8 generation. When the generation was barely launched in 2020, some unreasonable and stubborn people were claiming that C8's would remain over or at MSRP throughout the lifespan of the generation. It was never meant to be according to the way they imagined.
Their opinion does not match how GM does business. In order for C8 prices to remain elevated above MSRP, either the supply has to be unusually low, or the demand has to be unusually strong. Neither has ever been true because GM needs to build lots of units to make profit on the Corvette brand. Additionally, Corvette is not a brand that would draw many people who would want to pay extraordinary price for it, like 200k for Z06 or 130k for Stingray. There were some early buyers who paid that much after markups, though that demand was certainly not sustainable as more supply flooded the market.
Those who thought C8 was going to remain above MSRP are merely illogical fanboys who lack understanding of business and economics.
The market is certainly a lot tougher than it was a year or two ago
Thanks for watching!
Newb question.
I'm familiar with seeing the dealer markup on the window sticker but what if I want to custom order exactly what I want online?
Will any markup show up as a line item online, or just get added in thru extra expensive options, or does a dealer surprise me with a markup once it is delivered?
Thx kindly
Pick your car thru the build and price, negotiate based on the window sticker and have a written contract with your dealer.
Called Ciocca the other day to ask about Z06 orders. They said that they won't ever open up Z06 orders again because they have too many people on the list. They said Chevrolet can't build enough Z06 to keep up with demand and probably never will. They didn't even offer to take any of my information "just in case". They flat out told me if I wasn't already on the list a year ago, I wasn't getting one.
Their Z06 wait list was a complete trainwreck. They collected over 5000 deposits in the first month because they kept it blind and gave everyone the idea they had a chance. They are sitting on literally millions of dollars in deposits for cars they will never deliver. They got under 100 Z06s for 2023. At that pace they have decades of people on their list. Smaller dealers is where its at.
But new c8’s are $10,000 more than when new in 2020.
Yup. I can't imagine any more price increases in the near future. Used car prices for 2020s haven't caught up to the market and taking a bit longer to come down to reality. I think dealers are sitting on them upside down so price cuts are taking longer on used cars. Once that floor gives out...new cars will have to further correct.
Thanks for an informative upload. I’m on the list to get the Eray sometime this Spring at MSRP , do you think I’m better off waiting for the Eray to go below sticker ? I just hate to buy it at MSRP and few months later it goes below . What are your thoughts? Thanks
It's hard to gauge the mark up in erays. I still think the Z06 will be the more desirable performance variant among consumers and if that stays so close to MSRP....I can't imagine any crazy markups on them outside the first few months. I don't know if they'll be below MSRP the first year. Depends on how many they make. I think they over priced the E-Ray personally
@@JumpSquadAuto thanks for your quick reply and I do agree about the Eray price
The E-ray is a very non-traditional Corvette and will be rejected by traditional customer base. After the initial buzz, I think you will eventually see big discounts on E-ray's, especially since it seems overpriced as JumpSquad stated. I am waiting.
@@nyniceguy1318I agree and decided to wait too
Same dealer said $10,000 over on a z06 - but clearly negotiable. Likely $5,000 over on z06 is market.
By end of first quarter z06 will be msrp at best.
I agree. I think with the large number of Z06 produced so far in 2024 MY.....your timeline is spot on.
I was able to get 6k off MSRP on a 2024 HTC 2LT
When ADM from dealers started, I decided to wait to buy. IMHO hold off until every car is below MSRP then maybe buy.
NO ONE SHOULD BE PAYING ABOVE MSRP JUST SAY NO
EXACTLY
That'll bring the prices down pretty quick.😂😂

Our local paradise Chevy is offering allocations at msrp and some have gotten discounts.
Temecula Ca Paradise Chevy or another one?
@@CD-sz7tf yes - ask for Dave the salesman assigned to the corvette club of Temecula -
@@jeffreykilpatrick3592 okay, cool. Thanks for the fast reply. I was there about 2 years ago and I walked across the street as my truck was getting it's smog check. Just asked the sales guy standing outside on "the point" about their current wait list. He said it was about 18 months and the mark up was only 5 grand. I asked the poor sales guy how they could be charging a mark up 18 month in the future. He said that currently markups on stingrays were about 10k over. I said that's great, but I would imagine in 18 months, supply would meet demand and being locked into a 5 k markup would suck. He had the look on his face of ( hey man, leave me alone, there are hardly any cars on the lot due to covid and I'm just telling you what the boss man wants). He was nice and I left him alone and the bonus was my truck passed smog. I'm still lurking around, but I'm curious about the next c9, I've waited this long, I like the look of the Stingray, love the look of the Z06/Eray, but I'm sure the next update will really polish the look. Now if they had a true Grand Sport, that would temp me.
I have a 2024 2lz z07 without carbon rims has the ceramic rotors msrp 147 asking 25 over I got them to 15k is this a good deal
Not a good deal. Join the Facebook group mentioned in the video. There have been several leads at MSRP and one or two below. I've seen stingrays for 15k below MSRP. Z06 markets cooling quickly so don't pay that much over.
And let us not forget the high prices of the used C-8s.I think we are going to see the used ones really take a hit.Why buy a used one when you can get a new one for less money with a warranty?
Yup. Dealers are gonna be or are stuck bag holding
I’m backing off both of my orders. My friends c8 transmission just blew at 400 miles, 3 day ownership. I’ll wait till GM fixes their issues first.
They've been rerouting a noticeable amount of cars straight from the factory to Lansing to fix transmissions on new cars. Sorry to hear what your friend is going through. When I had my exhaust issue on 2022 and the C8 was at the dealer for a few weeks waiting on parts....I opened a case with corporate and they shipped the parts overnight and offered to offset payments for my two weeks of down time. If your friend isn't getting timely turnaround with the dealer then a case with customer service might be worth making the call for.
@@JumpSquadAuto thank you I’ll let him know
@@JumpSquadAuto my friend is asking what’s the phone number you used to get a case number?
@@N0neofyourbusiness. 1-866-790-5600. It is their customer assistance center.
What year was your friend’s C8…I’m waiting too and will buy an extended warranty
Is there a way to make a list of Dealers who Don't Price Gauge? Not only those dealers get business, but buyers will get a good deal. I would love to own a ZO6 or ZR1. I E-Ray sounds great, I just don"t like how regen works wearing down the brakes. Segway to dealer pricing, I'd like to see the Corvette with new headlights, Escala or something.

There are running lists on the forums. Won't capture all of them but still gets a little of good and bad dealers listed
looking to buy a c8 this summer brand new! hopefully these dealers work with me 🙏
Check out whitmoyer chevy in PA. They posted a few new ones for 5k below this week. Just sold a left over 2023 for 10k below MSRP. Good dealer to work with and they don't like sitting on new corvettes. no BS dealer. No ones doing below msrp on ordered cars but good deals for on the lot cars
Got mines at invoice
The discounts will hopefully out weigh the price hikes. Good vid. I’ve decided to drive mine. There is something up with the GM points as well. I got half of mine. Called the rewards center. They are investigating.
Can't say I have ever heard someone getting only half. That's a first. Hopefully they make it right. Leave it to GM to find new ways to fubar something lol
@@JumpSquadAuto Yeah, didn’t initially get it. They told me claimed denied. Then said I qualified but would forward to the reward center. Then got the 25k in points. Called again, they are checking. This $5k has managed to cost me $30-50k.
@@thereissomecoolstuff that sucks man. the market dropped so fast and hard. Mecum's still doing well with warrantied Z06s. Might be worth giving that a go.
Wish I could afford one
I really hope this is the case in a year, especially with the Z06. It would be incredible if Z06 cars could easily be had at MSRP.
Once the ZR1 is announced I think it will help Z06 prices. As long as they keep up the production numbers....I can't see prices going back up on them.
Where can I buy one to export to Europe? Here's sold for the equivalent of $264,000 so even considering tax and transportation I'd still save a ton of money.
eek. that's a high price. I don't know anything about European importing or how that process works.
@@JumpSquadAuto that's why I'm asking you where to buy a Z06 under MRSP, then I'll do the rest :)
@@Davide1709 z06s are slightly over MSRP. I corrected that misspeak I'm the pinned comment. Stingrays are under
A zo6 just went for142k on bat.
One went on dealer auction for $15k below MSRP. High spec non z07 package car tho with accessory CF and wheels. The $142k one had a 145k MSRP so bid 3k below MSRP on a new car from a dealer.
This is a joke, still no cars available to buy, look at dealers in sw Florida they dont have any, and if theyvdo they are still way over msrp.
Travel a little.
It’s changing…dealer call me today. They wanted me to look a 2 C8s and 1 Z06 they just got in today…other Chevy dealership has 3. A year ago I never saw them on dealer lots.
Come to MD
You still need 80 grand or better to get into a used c8 in my area 😂😂😂
I thought you were looking for ERay because you could not get a ZO6 . Now it looks like you have a Corvette channel and no desire to get a corvette or can’t afford one at this time ?
I have an E-Ray on order. It will do better for RUclips content I think being new so no point chasing down a z06 for three to four months now. Chevy customer service and experience sucks so didn't get a Z06 last year when it was new. I bought the Escalade instead this past summer.
Only in your little world
🤣🤣
The point of this comment is I would like to own a c8 but I don't need this car at any cost.
not around here.
Travel a little. Should find left over 2023# pretty quickly under sticker. 2024s are just landing so some dealers are still not up to reality
@@JumpSquadAuto do you mind to share a link where it's possible to find one?

I have a dealership I can get z06 at MSRP for. Just a matter of getting one. They are trying to get me to buy a 70th anniversary c8 for 7k under MSRP though. There are just so many I don’t think it’s worth it. The value on normal c8s is going to tank hard.
They only have about 5000 profit on a 3LT
