      I was team Ron the whole way. First, why would Big Ben push someone little? You know how the game is. Second, why would someone in the stands throw something at Ron knowing he's a wildcard. I'm always happy when players run into the stands to finally give the sideline people what they deserve.

      I agreed with him running 🏃‍♂️ into the stands and I still agree on ot today. I never agreed with the penalty. It's a clear indicator of how soft it made society today. I hate to admit it but we need the bullies again. The penalties made it so that the nerds and weak people can run they mouth and get away with doing stuff that'll get you punched in the mouth.

    I appreciate how Metta has matured as a person over the years. That being said,.I don't care if Ron outweighed Big Ben Wallace by 50 lbs ! Ben Wallace would have WASHED Ron in a fight ! Ben Wallace to this day is one of the ABSOLUTE STRONGEST men to EVER play in the NBA !!

    Something I’ve always wondered but never seen anyone ask:
    Why did he lay on the table for his Cool Down/Time Out meditation? Lying on the table may have been perceived as an act of arrogance towards the Home team’s fans.
    Also- of course I think the fan should not have thrown the cup at him…

      Good observation and question.
      Unfortunately this is where we can can’t make concrete judgement and assumption nor believe Ron was indirectly suggesting anything. He just needed to cool down as part of his recovery. Being on the floor to recover doesn’t really help his intention so understandably he had to laid down somewhere better.

      He was listed at 245, but most players are usually 10 or 15 lbs heavier than their listed weight.Strength trumps weight though and anger trumps all that

      @@missayawk Weight doesn't really matter especially when you look at Ben Wallace physique and frame. Ron was built like a bull too and prob had more mass in the lower body. Bodyfat def makes a difference too. Someone could weigh 200 pounds with a 8 percent bodyfat. They will have a way more impressive physique than someone who weighs 230 with a 20 percent bodyfat.

Ben Wallace to this day is one of the ABSOLUTE STRONGEST men to EVER play in the NBA ! Just do a RUclips search of "strongest players in NBA history".     Artest was a pest on defense, yes. But one of the greatest? Not even close. The guy he mentioned though ... Ben Wallace. Now that is a monster. 4 time NBA DPOY and lead Detroit to a championship against prime Kobe and Shaq. And that series wasn't even close, Detroit destroyed the Lakers.

    Lol Everyone agrees. We may not all be from the hood Ron, but we can tell when a guy is scared. Not the first time I've seen a guy back down from a big guy and then take his frustrations out on a little guy either. You screwed up, fortunately for you the NBA is forgiving and you're set for life. Own that though, you'll get more respect.     My man got shoved from the baseline to the arc.. if you got the same strength that would not happen, at least not to the 3-pt line. If I recall, Big Ben might held the Bench Press record in the league at that era.. If Artest is shorter and heavier, my man should have the highest bench or at least some big numbers. But i never heard of that.

      he got launched like a girl 👧, to me that’s a difference in man country strong strength and Artest felt his strength,Ben challenge him and he declined, when this happens in Gorilla 🦍 🦍 , kingdom the alpha male Gorilla loses his title, Big Ben being smaller means nothing, he benched pressed like 500 to 600 lbs, and he more than held his own against SHAQ who was 7’0 and 300 pounds.

      Kendra Ann THANK YOU.Ive been an avid basketball fan ( all levels).I saw the Malice live and couldn't believe my eyes.When I saw him lay on the scorers table after being shoved by Ben Wallace, I thought ,what is he doing? I have NEVER seen anyone lay on the scorers table EVER on ANY level.He was crying for attention and got it from a hometown fan who probably felt like I felt....laying on the table was disrespectful.Ben had warned the ref, if you dont call a foul on Ron ,who fouled Ben on previous plays, that he was gonna take matters into his own hands.And he did.Crazy ppl get cured real quick when they're confronted by a " REAL" one.
