I think Metta was the first athlete to bring mental health to the forefront. Definitely he was first in the NBA. He made the first big steps to normalize getting therapy. He wasn’t scared to talk about it, and I think that helped a lot of other players to do the same.
WR Brandon Marshall brought it forward in the NFL. Metta did it initially in the NBA and Kevin Love following his trade to the Cleveland Cavaliers also made his mental battle public.
Metta's maturity is off the charts, it doesn't seem that he is just buying in to the "politically correct posture" that greats are mandated to abide to, he actually believes in it and even corrects himself to keep his composure looking absolutely respectable. he's come a long way, and seems happier with himself after that distance. go ahead, bro!

Good interview. Meta was always a real one. I’m from Indianapolis, and When his Ron Artest you would see him everywhere and he was so down to earth. I remember meeting him at the mall, and he was walking around in a wife beater and gym shorts and he shook my hand, and introduced me to his family who he was there with, and he was just so humble, nothing like what most folks outside of Indiana would think he was like. Glad he got the help he needed and he’s living his best life.

32:00 I think the reason players in todays game are so skilled is because they have more freedom physically becuase there is no contact allowed. Todays NBA is a 5v0 scrimmage compared to the 90's. Defence is handcuffed in todays game ... and so skilled players can shoot shots with little to no contest. In the 90's players had to shoot with handcuffs on and with cement blocks on. the physical game was way more tiring physically.
I feel you the floor space and getting rid of bigs has allowed guys to have more room to be creative. But they actually don’t shoot better just check they just shoot more 3’s but their are a couple of years in the early 2000’s where the league shot better slightly
