I grew up with habit. It’s by far the best, and the interactions with staff are always positive and a manager is always right up front dressed differently interacting with customers and calling out the orders. Habbit is a very professional operations. I wish them well.
I just tried them for the first time even though they have a location right by me, and I have to say I am impressed. The burgers have a classic burger joint taste to them, and they are above and beyond Five Guys. It's no contest.
The staff at Habit Grill are spectacular. The Santa Barbara Char is my favorite. Their interiors are so comfortable...love their booths! And always spotless.
I had the original habit burger 12 years ago in Santa Barbara and I was blown away That’s why In-N-Out doesn’t franchise. But surprisingly best damn cheeseburger I ever had in my life, was Dave’s cheeseburgers in Little Rock
I love this place my family and I always go there and get the green beans things except my brother is obsessed with in n out so we don’t rlly go there anymore
The same story with restaurant franchising. Private run company needs capital to expand. large corporation overpays and buys out the originator. Company then over expands and has to simplify the menu. Quality becomes inconsistent between units leading to smaller margins. Then many units closed and either the chain is sold or files for bankruptcy. The cycle continues. Hopefully Yum doesn't screw this up.
The Habit is my favorite burger joint. I have taken my family there many times for a quick and tasty meal. All the burgers are great tasting and reasonably priced. Great fries. I am addicted to their pink lemonade. If you want something healthy, try their Super Food Salad, it had cooked to order hot grilled chicken on top and is delicious. We are spoiled rotten where we live in South Orange County. Within 3 miles of our house, we have: In and Out, another great burger place; The Hat, the best (and biggest) pastrami sub ever; Tommy Burgers, if you like a burger in chili beef sauce; California Fish Grill, with the best fish and chips on the planet, and great fried calamari and delicious grilled salmon tacos; we also have a lot of local independent restaurants, when we want authentic Mexican or Thai or other ethnic foods. No great pizza that I know of, can't have everything.
A quick search shows there are a handful in the Seattle-tacoma metro area. If you've ever had burgerville they taste very similar to them. Quality ingredients and delicious classic burger joint taste is their MO
Ummm, yes, the quality has gone down since the sale. I admit to never eating a real hamburger, but their veggie burger used to be an awesome hand made item, now it is basically a black bean pattie like you would get in the freezer section at your grocery store. Salads also used to be awesome, fresh lettuce, always. There were times when they ran out and I had to wait while they prepared some new greens, and then rec'd a beautiful salad like I would have made at home. Now they are using bagged lettuce. My drive range is from Buellton, down to Westlake Village. The Westlake Village Habit is the best of the bunch, at least salad wise. I do still get the veggie burger, on sourdough, which they instead put on a bun at least 1/2 the time. If you don't want mistakes, go inside. The drive-thru is where the mistakes happen. I also order the grilled cheese, which are lovely, very cheesy sandwiches on sourdough, medium grill.
lol not true, i work here and we do NOT used bagged lettuce, not sure where you heard that from but it’s not true, they should never have to prepare the green beans/ sweet potato fries while you’re waiting, the cashiers do it, and put it in the freeze, which goes through a rotation all the way up to the fryers fridge.
I work at this place and I can tell you we always make sure your food is always top quality either it is or U LOOSE UR JOB that’s how serious we take it
This is what I do I order the Santa Barbara char I usually don't finish the whole thing take it home I put it in the oven at 360 for 20 minutes I don't wait for it to preheat I just put it in. 3 minutes before the times up pull it out let it cool and then take a bite and thank me later unfortunately restaurants don't have time to make things like this but if they did this would put them light years ahead of everybody hence the term truly toasted to perfection I'm pulling a piece out right now out of my oven 🤣
Ok their family deals are absolutely amazing, especially for the quality. I used to service some and saw the back kitchens and they're a really clean, good quality of food type place. For $40 you can get TWO budgets, TWO chicken sandwiches, TWO orders of fries, TWO orders of onion rings, PLUS a decent sized salad. No one else comes close to that for their size and quality. They offer a 4 burger version for 35 that's MUCH cheaper than even a damn Dennys these days
What's your favorite item to get at The Habit Burger Grill?
You have no answers so my favorite item to get is either a double char burger or the chicken bites
Can't say they're my favorite
A lot

Yea I’m just realizing now how many their are in New Jersey now
the original habit burger was founded in my home town of goleta ca
Finally had Santa Barbara today. It was ayt it didn’t wowed me. A little pricey $16 w tax for combo. Would I order again probably not.
Habbit burgers pretty fire man no cap
I remember this place from a buzzfeed worth it video
Never heard of it. 9.9 million people in my metro area, and we don’t have this.
I fear that they'll go "corporate" and quality will go down. In n out is still quality because they're still family owned.
Its owned by Yum foods now
@@zenthious666 Yum Brands*
On Thursday I have a video going live about this- but yea...YUM Brands bought them in 2020
I believe The Habit is corporate but I’m a cook there and I can assure you that everything is still fresh and the quality is very high
The habit is owned by yum brands now. Some locations are being franchised out now and some are coorporate
This sounds like a more delicious.Version of Five Guys!
Never heard of this place 🤔
I recommend trying it if you ever come across this restaurant. You will love it.
@@nmeza85 . Thank you for the advise. I definitely will ☺️.
Get the Santa Barbara style, easily the best burger they sell

In my opinion this is better than In In out
I agree 100%
For sure
That freaking tri tip is amazing

@King Tubbzz We have California Pizza Kitchen, but I have not tried it.
Anyone else prefer Habit burger over in n out or five guys?
fav place ever !!!
Watching while I’m eating at the habit right now
Well done, they are not in my area
Is there any in Washington State or Oregon?

The siracha aioli I need to find the recipe I forgot it.... that was the best sauce!!

not necessarily loose your job, but true.
Oh really Bc I found a bug I. My burger🙂
it's not the untold truth when it's public knowledge and most of us already knows these facts, stop treating your subscribers like we're idiots
This channel deserves more subscribers! Come on internet! Hello from UK 🇬🇧
There is a Habit Burger Grill and In n Out right next to each other where i live, i have never been to Habit Burger Grill.
I prefer The Habit over Burger King any day.
Burger King tastes like soggy cardboard 😭
BEST BURGER EVER
Habit is my fav 🍔 always hot and fresh plus melted cheese! (unlike 💩 McD)
I never heard of this place

Wait about Virginia they are also In Virginia
a habit grill is opening up in my town, I hope to get a part time job there. seems like a great place
Never hurd of the place
Why my 20$fillup don't stack up like that lol... maybe it's the bucket...
Ooof
I’ve never even heard of this restaurant.
i ate ONE too many burgers lol
“Affordable”? I just spent $23 on a steak burger and 5 chicken pieced
Habit
It's not Habit Forming!
Best onion rings I’ve ever had in my life. Also the portabelo burger is better than anything ay in n out
Habit...better than In-N-Out and 5 Guys; not as good as Fatburger and Shake Shack.
Fatburger are now smaller.
but not as small as Shake shack.
Good burgers, but small in comparison to BK. But then again, BK's quality has gone down.
Habit burger is ok. Nothing really special
I have tried many western food and I didn't like them. They lack spices.
They were better before they franchised
Early
I will not go back there was a BUG yes a BUG in my burger
No gloves
Overpriced and below average flavor IMHO. Full mexican staff that gives you an untrusting stink eye greeting. Needless to say I won't return.
A double better not cost more than $8
