I'm passionately looking into getting the Polo GTI, while I daily drive the car in the video in VR in Dirt Rally 2. Not the same by a long shot, but you do get a proper power feel from the 200 bhp IRL, even with the DSG gearing.

We are living through the end days of the internal combustion engine...soon to be outlawed in production and taxed into oblivion...only millionaires budgets will fund a daily driven petro chemical car. It's been a privilege to see so many amazing iterations and technological advancements in all race cars still using a traditional engine over the 41 years I've been alive.
Sickening what these scum bags are doing.
If we get on and take the actions necessary to limit global warming, you may live to see a whole new set of iteratios and technical advancements in race cars powered by electric motors.
If not, the future of race cars maybe the least of our concerns.

@@martin-drt this is a 570hp Rallycross car, based on the WRC chassis. But not a WRC car.
@@AmbientMike I know ;) I’m a big fan of RX. I follow the French championship, I have a few friends who race. I just wanted to say that they are sort of WRCs with 250hp added but of course they are extensively modified

Does this car still have haldex or they change something?
I guess they use the drivetrain from the WRC competition car, so no haldex. Fixed power distribution. Nothing to do with a street legal car, only from some chassis side etc there might be something in common.

I find this event ridiculous in as much as health and safety seems to go out of the window at the turn round doughnut area where if God forbid anyone made a mistake the wombles in white would never recover from any accidental contact.🙈
