Love this series! Great to hear that 5th Gear is coming back, but even greater to hear Tiff will still remain a regular presenter alongside Paul for Lovecars. Keep up the great work guys!

Just found this channel, what a result. Always liked Tiff. I was a race track Marshal back when he won the the Autosport FF competition. As I recall the transporter was a mark 1 Transit - Diesel> Crack on boys.

Highly entertaining and just generally good. Question: is there definite timing for the regular episodes and Tiff Talks? Once a week? Once a fortnight?
Been watching tiff for 25 years now, car motoring god.
Hypercars being in Le Mans with give them a sense of purpose; we look forward to seeing the Senna battling with the Toyota's future model. I love Fifth Gear and all its presenters, thrilled its back. Quest may not be HD - but on my package the image quality looks a lot clearer than Discovery Turbo. Its good to see Tiff is human so down to earth.

Good to hear 5th gear is returning, just hope there's plenty of Tiff and Plato arsing about and squabbling like the good old days. Road tests and reviews are all well and good but I'd happily watch an hour of you two arguing who can do the longest powerslide/fastest drag run in the latest hot hatch or anything for that matter!

The problem with wireless charging is that it's not that efficient. Because of the air gap between coils it simply can't be. Whereas a transformer can have 98-99% efficiency, wireless charging can only peak at about 80% (e.g. Qi wireless charging). So if your goal is to be "green" with an electric car plug it in rather than relying upon wireless charging.

I did a search and BMW are claiming 85% efficiency of the "Groundpad". But that will be if you've perfectly lined up with the charger, and outside that area it will drop. It's because it's an air-core rather than metal that you have within a transformer that you can't get the same efficiencies. Even when they use ferrite materials in the base to concentrate the magnetic fields between the two coils (transmit and receive coils).

When you are a 'car guy' of a certain age in the UK but can't recognise a mk2 escort!

Tiff is or course quite right what we really need is a modern interpretation of MG Midget and MGB ,Capri TR5, sports and attractive sportshatch coupe under £25,000. MGF sold 25,000 units a year until they gifted the business to MX5. Something that looks like a Ferrari Dino but with 200BHP under 1100kgs for 25K. Speed limits are clamping down heavily in UK - no point in high power cars anymore in Britain- light weight and much narrower yes please.

We have lived through these super car and classic car crazy price bubbles before most recently in 1990 - it will come again, prices will more than halve and the high end sportscar makers will fold. Affordability again will be the watchword , one day something will trigger it off. So sell before the roof falls in .

Hypercars for Le Mans? instead of LMP1 or instead of GT?
For the LMP1 i would do a different reglement:
1: the fuel to fill in by energy: every car gets the same amount of „fill in energy“: if they use a hybrid and recuperate, fine thats up to them, because it is not filled in from outside, if they use solar panels on the car: fine (as long as they don't shatter in sharp pieces in a crash) if they plug it in a socket and charge electricity for the start or during stops, that would count as „fill in“.
And i would not care what kind of fuel, gasoline or diesel, or cng, or pumpkin seed oil, water, alcohol, just the amount of energy has to be the same. (so the liters or kgs of the fuel they get would differ accordingly) The size (they have to fit in a certain box) and weight of the car (min weight) and safety: fire extinguishers, and crash safety. And that the driver has to control the movement of the car, without data connection to the pits. So no BOP for this, and i would do the same reglement for formula one.
I'm only paid minimum wage to respond to our community and to remove swear words. This is by far the best and most comprehensive comment we've had on our channel but I don't know what to say 😜

Tiff, the Escort is a mark 2. There are 2 reasons I cannot buy it. 1) I don't have to sort of money to spend on a car of that price. 2) As an atheist I would be right for me to have it. Plus for me it wouldn't feel right having it.
