- In this video we head out onto the course to see if I can break par using only 5 clubs! We also talk through why this is something you should also try to help vary your practice and ability to execute different golf shots.

A 4 club video has to be done it's the only way
Brady Ryan please I only need one

🎥 Playing golf with ONE ADJUSTABLE CLUB (34 clubs in 1)
You hit the ball twice with your most impressive bogey back of the putter putt. I see you mr finch 😂
I hope you see this Peter because I owe you a massive thanks.
I’ve struggled I’m 16 and this year I’ve been able to hit my driver around 280 - 290 yards however I haven’t really been able to control the accuracy and it frustratingly became a fluke if I hit it straight. After watching this video I adjusted my Nike vapor driver from 9.5 to 12.5 (it doesn’t have a 13) and the next time I went out, not only did I consistently hit it exactly where I wanted to, I was able to add 30 - 40 yards with my maximum drive being 325!
Thank you so much for making my game much more enjoyable and making me a better player!
ive been using a half set (7 clubs) in competitions for a good while now. sounds silly but I find it so much easier. beat my PB score in a competition the first time I tried it
Great vid pal, one of the best you've done tbh. Love the thinking and creativity that you've forced yourself into. Top notch content, keep it up.
Love that you still rocking the Seahawks beanie. If I went about a 5 club challenge, would likely end up going Driver, 4 hybrid, 7i, pw, putter.
Awesome video and great content Peter. Thank you for putting this together, along with John, as hearing your thought process really helps us amateurs!
Nice video! Can't wait for the video that you play against Rick. I bet you will win 💪
mkay
LOVED THIS STYLE OF VIDEO! Keep up the great work!
I might play with 5 clubs for a laugh but I regularly play with 7 for a quick bounce match and I love it.
Its great to improvise different shots - good practice for when one's game goes belly up in an important match.
Cheers as always!
This is something I do all the time. I personally go with Driving Iron, 7i, pw, 60, putter. I'm going to start doing the scramble tests. Long time sub, I like the different content, keep it coming.
First set of clubs I played and took lessons with, age 7-9 ish, had 9, 7, 5, 3, Driver, putter. Was all that I needed and think helped me focus more on the swing and enjoying the game. Of course now I have full set, but thought it was a good way to learn growing up. Keep up the good vids
Really enjoyed the video Peter, very well made, great to watch. I would love to see more challenges like this.
PS. Rick has got nothing on you, TeamFinch all the way!
Good video Pete. I see other vlogs doing the same challenge. This help golfers minimize their risks of trying to choose to made club options.
Great. Quellness looks wonderful. We’re going in the spring. Can’t wait. 👍
Great video. I would have gone w/ 3 wood, 4 hybrid, 7 iron, 54 wedge, and putter.
Love the beanie!!
Another great video Peter like you said limiting yourself makes you take a different look at how you go at certain shots it also gives you more options when you do have your full bag. Keep up the great work cheers
What a wacker!!! That was a classic video with your buddies a while back...nice cap...and as usual, very good video Pete!!
I often do this Pete and it really helps. Bit only at my home course where I know what I need. I always come unstuck around a new course with less clubs
Driver, 22* hybrid, 7 iron, 52* wedge and putter.
Awesome visuals guys! Loved the position points after each shot
Great video to watch during the lock down.......
Great video! Beautiful course! Thanks!
Been doing it meself as I am a begginer golfer (hcp 36). I use a 5 hybrid, 7 iron, pw, sw and putter. Love the simplicity!
More superb content, thanks pete!
Wow what a course. And those overheads though!! Need more courses like this in the states.
Just catching up now to old videos... living in Seattle... loving the Seahawks beanie!!!
I commented on your Insta post regarding this as well. I recently attended a golf day that required all participants to only be allowed 5 clubs. So after careful consideration I went with my 4 iron, because I hit it quite well and can use it off the tee and fairway. I also took 7 and 9 iron for various pitch or lay up shots and sandwedge for bunker shots and chipping. Last one obviously was the putter. It all worked out pretty well in the end. It was a night golf event, so we played with illuminating balls and flashlights. I'm a 16 handicapper and scored a 47 on 9 holes.
Great video Pete. I would love to see you do this challenge on a couple of different course's.
Finchy with the Seahawks cap! Official my favorite RUclips golfer !!!
loving the quality of vids recently.
Really enjoyable video Pete. Don't be so hard on yourself. One over with 5 clubs is impressive!
I love that you’re a Seahawks fan! I watch all your videos from Seattle.
Great video, looked a great course to play on. You did well considering the lack of clubs
That was a great video Pete pal.Really enjoyed it.❤️👍😀
Love seeing you play in Bavaria!
You have a great swing. I was surprised you seemed a little tight and nervous. I would have been in a panic but I thought you would have been enjoying the game more! I really enjoy watching your clips. Have fun!
My options are driver putter 7 iron 56 wedge and 4 hybrid i make great choices with those clubs together !!
Great video Pete - food for thought!
Wonderful video, Peter. That’s the type of challenge we all need to make us think more about our shots. I think that your club selection was pretty much spot on. I may have selected a 52* wedge for a bit more distance because that’s a lot of gap (see what I did there? :-) between a 7 iron and 54* wedge. Great ball striking, by the way.
That's my moto Pete, 'Just wack it!' My first set of clubs was a 2 wood, 5, 7, 9 & putter, was a really good way of learning how to adapt shots.
👍 Great insight into how important/beneficial manufacturing different shots can be. We are so used to knowing precisely how far we hit certain clubs nowadays we lose sight of this side of the game. The ironic thing about only taking out a limited amount of clubs is that when carrying a full set and we are on top of our game we often only use half of them anyway. Oh and for the record I’d go 3w 4i 7i 52wedge putter. I can’t remember how many clubs were allowed but I once, as an ‘arrogant yoof’ played in a limited club event with a 1iron instead of a putter🤦♂️
Really good challenge and challenging course - I love courses like that💪💪💪👍👍👍🙂🙂🙂
That was a great round. I cant wait for your .watch with Rick. I will be rooting for you. I think you will take him. Good luck.
Hi Pete, it's great to see a golf channel where there isn't someone talking about a putter that looks like the Eiffel tower or someone trying to play a whole round with a mop, or someone trying to play a whole round with only 5 clu.........erm.....love your stuff.
love videos like this
You’re a magician with those shots!
Extra love for the Seahawks beanie 👏
Thanks for the videos. Played in a two club challenge (4 and 9 iron) and played better than using the full set.
great vid mate, love a challenge match.
Beautiful coarse thanks for sharing...
Nice round Peter, conditions not easy. And what a stunning layout and lovely clubhouse! I must look the place up in Google, would be in distance for a weekend trip for me.
Lovely video and looks to be a great course. I would have gone with a 7 iron on the 18th approach though lol. Definately thinking of getting a mini driver as I would imagine it to be close to my 3 wood, which I prefer as I can't swing a driver lol
Love that Seahawks toque
Thanks for sharing Pete ;)
Great final putt Peter and that brilliant slicing 4? Rick is so much trouble.
Lifelong Seahawks fan! Great hat Peter!
Really nice looking course that
Love the cap! You should do a video of a full round with nothing but clubs from the wood shaft era, that would be interesting to see
I've found my most versatile club to be a 3 wood. I can hit it to the green on a 290 yard hole or even use it for a small punch shot on a 130 yard hole. I've really only been playing with 4 clubs recently: Driver, 3 wood, 8 iron and putter.
Changed the video quality from 360p to 1080p and it was life changing
Would it be cool if you and rick did a 14 club challenge..
Great looking course, did this 5 club challenge before, as you say you have to re-think your shots
Nice Seahawk hat, smart man
Lots of in-between shots. Love the imagination. I have played a slight variation where you only use odd or even number irons. Have to be able to work the shots if you do that.
Driver, 3hybrid, 7iron pitching wedge, 60 degree.
Use the hybrid to putt
For me
4 hybrid, 6 iron, 9 iron, 56° wedge and Ping anser putter (usable in unusual situations)
Great vid. Much fun.
I love the ping anser stinger off the tee from 180-220.
Nice Seahawks beanie Pete!
Looks very nice there👍😉🍻
U officially became my favorite golf channel go hawks
Go Hawks! Great Hat
Loved that tip for hitting a straight shot with your 54 degree. LOL
Cracking looking course. Mini driver is a great choice when carrying a lighter bag.
Golf Vlogs UK is the bees knees.
About time you and Shieldsy had a team match. Decide a venue and invite people along for great day.
Loving the vids you pair make.
That white jumper😍
3W, 5i, 8i, 56 and putter (although I would consider an extra iron and putt with the 3 wood)
Love the vids 👌👌👌
My dad and I always do some challenge each year and last year we did 5 club challenge. I chose 4w, 6i, 9i, SW, Putter.
First of all good to see the Seahawks support
Loved the heckle by Siri! LOL
liking the seahawks beanie
Loved the video. What about a shot tracer to see the shot shapes you're attempting.
@PeterFinchGolf missed you by just a few days. Just came back from Bad Griesbach. You should play the Beckenbauer or Porsche course next time you are there
It's that time again! :)
3 wood 5 hybrid putter 7 iron and 57 degree
Love the hat.
Great video! We do a 4club game in our league and it's fun! Where'd you get the Seattle Seahawks hat? I'm just outside of Seattle, love your vids.
Pretty course
Lost my putter last week. Did use my 4 hybrid for putting last round. Result had not been different, so I would choose one more iron instead of putter 😉
3W, 4HB, 7i, GW, Putter.
Pete thanks a lot for all your tips. I’m 13 and play of 11 and I just shot 1 over gross.
Ollie George k
Nice! I would have gone Driver, 3 iron, 8 iron, 52*, and putter
Nice not far away from my hometown. Come to GC kössen kaiserwinkel or GC ruhpolding and you will get a better view. Those clubs are near and even on the Mountains 😁🌄
GC valley is also a nice course laid out like a links course.
So hit me up would be cool to play a round.
Cheers
I should really try this to work on doing more knock down shots
Nice 4 iron out of the bunker. Can believe u cleared that lip.
I recently played with just a PW and a putter. I was shocked how well I played. The trick is to one put for par on those par 4s and 5s.
“Same old Pete, just whackin it” 😂😂😂😂
No offense to rick, but this channel is so much better
Army golf...haha...I am stealing that one..!
