- Morton Buildings has engineered its own foundation system that offers superior strength by removing wood from the ground. Learn more about the details and benefits of the Morton Foundation System.
Funny, just had a Morton building built and they put post in the ground. Did y’all change your process? Guess I got the cheap build.
Is there a kit you guys sell for this foundation system? I'm looking for some options for my building to secure my posts to the ground without buying stuff from big box stores. Thanks in advance.
Are there any DIY kits you sell or are all your buildings Turn Key Service?
Do you do build homes in Nevada?
Did you steal you're idea from perma column
Now if you can figure out a way to cut the cost while maintain profitability you will be a winner in the industry. Quality can be cheaper but if you do not try to find ways to reduce cost dramatically on materials you will be nothing more than one of many companies who do not stand out. Unfortunately skilled Labor is a fixed cost that is difficult to reduce, so the only other place you have are materials and time. reducing construction time is a cost cutting measure and finding materials of high quality that are less expensive saves the consumer money and maintains your profitability.
Developing new construction technologies that result in cost reduction may be your only option considering construction materials are outrageously expensive due to investment companies buying up material manufacturers, that is why cost keep going up, there are no independent companies competing for marker share, there are holdings companies demanding higher profits at our expense.
What about frost protection????
I'm guessing they entrain about 8% air for freeze-thaw cycles but if you're referring to ground expansion because of frost, on such small-sized posts the effect would be minimal.
@@godiseru no actually I was referring to the frost heaving no matter how small the ground post is we have issues with frost that can pick a whole building up and compromise concrete no matter how big the structure is or how small the posts are if they're not below frost level
The column is cast into a footing and the footing depth is determined by project location to ensure it is cast well below frost line.
