I like timetwister as a reset, even in naus breach combo you could be behind and need to get rid of the yards.
Any version is amazing as a player in a strong seat position with a lot of ramp on turn 1 to invalidate mull strategies. I've had a few games with land, 3 rocks, twister and a counter which i can keep as player 1 or 2.

I've definitely liked it was a way to get back in the game without fueling opponents graveyards, and resets stuff like top deck tutors. Definitely still a viable option.

Necro has been somewhere between format warping and very strong basically since '95. It's almost hard to describe it to someone who hasn't seen it just how powerful it can be.

Yeah, and the card has only gotten better in cEDH since we recorded this.

@@LemorasCards have you seen the Ultimate Standard list? Basically it's testing the best standard decks across time. 96 Necro deck is at #7 basically off the strength of that card alone (dark ritual is pulling some weight as well, but the rest of the cards are unplayable by today's standards). Seven may seem low, but four of the top five are during the unimaginable degeneracy of Urza's Block, and basically don't count as real decks. 😂

Here is my secret cedh deck
Average Cmc 2.66 The real average is lower due to the fact so many things become mana rocks in my deck. But the flat not accounting for that rate is 2.66. Also the glasspool mimic is a land, so I’m at 31 lands not 30. And not counting the creatures that are auto rocks I have 7 sources of non land mana generation that are basically lands. Cards like guild artisan, sol ring, mana crypt, relic of legends, and a few others. So my pseudo land count is actually closer to 38-39. Fun fact : there are what seem to Be way too many combos in this deck. However they are all comprised of cards that are stand alone all stars.

Another great episode! One idea for feedback is to have a bit of a intro at the start of the video (logo + some sound, etc.). To me, this helps create a nice transition to ease into the content of the video.

How do you break casual play bad habits in cEDH. I love playing cEDH but I just recently got a cEDH Playgroup but I still play with my casual and I keep going into bad habits I have formed casual aka going for the win and not feeling bad. Also only worry about stopping actual threats aka wincon instead of building blocks.

I'm new to cedh as a whole, but I can kind of see how some people think Peer Into The Abyss is "easier to cast" than Necropotence, and I'm pretty sure it has more to do with when you intend on playing either card and how that plays into the triple black mana costs on each. Ideally you want to get out both cards as fast as you can, but assuming no ramp is involved its a lot harder to get three black pips with land drops in a multicolored deck on turn three, while its much easier to get those three pips on turn seven.
That being said, the logic is sound on paper but probably doesn't hold up well in practice due to reasons such as ramp, card draw, and the ability to cheat into play both of these cards, which is practically most of what you'll see in cedh anyway. I can see where they're coming from, though. I just don't think it matters much.

The majority of the strongest cards are Blue.
