I would love to watch the good news channel every day!❤
Good News Network
Please produce this segment every week!!!!!!!!!
2:33 😂 lol anyone else catch that on the ticker?
ahah thank you for this, so hilarious
My wife can't stop sharing bad news with me although I try to limit myself to going through the news once a day. And that's what I say to her every once in a while: "You know, your neighbour who just went to work with no accident, had lunch without an earthquake or a explosion happening near by, then went to the gym without getting a heart attack or injuring himself and then went to bed without falling down the stairs, that's much more common - but it's just not interesting enough to make it into the news!". Thanks for this video, that was fun!
Need these DAILY
David Pogue is a pleasure to listen to! His pieces are always well thought out.
Wonderful segment that not only enlightened us on news we didn’t know about- but actually made us feel joy after those few minutes of good news. Thank you!
Many thanks! We needed that! Happy 2024!
We need more news broadcasts like this one.
Those news stories are filled with positivity and life that may help you start 2024 early. Thank you and happy New Year.
Needing a pick-me-up, I watched this again. I was surprised to find myself weeping tears of joy. Thank you.
That's all great news! Thank you! Happy New Year Everyone!
This is the type of news we need to hear more off.
Love it, ditto. "Good news happens everywhere, all the time."
Always love a David Pogue segment! Happy News Year!
The Pogue has gone rogue!!!
The Pogue has gone rogue!!!
Love this. I have said for years, we need to turn the channel on to a GNN - Good News Network. Advertisers would love the extra engaged viewers too. Everyone happy to be there. Bring on more good news.
We need this daily!!!
It's nice to hear good news for a change. ❤
Thank you for the good news, Mr. Pogue. You are just the guy to deliver it. Hopefully, you'll have more to deliver at the end of next year.
I love the ticker tape streaming at the bottom of the screen with more good news - Thank you this was great 🙏
Loved this story! More good news please!
The best news is that we still have David Pogue. We almost lost him the Oceangate submarine. It was a ticking time bomb, that when you went in, it was sealed shut. Luckily, the time David went in, wasn't that fateful trip.
Thank you, man. You made my year!
Thank you. Just what I needed.
We needed this.
Thank you for the positivity ❤
Thank you for restoring my faith in humanity 😂🎉!
All the news stations need this!!!
I'm late to the party but I'm so glad I saw this when I searched for "good news". I needed it. Thank you.
Please do not let those pop-up adds show at the end of the video. You share some information at the end, but the pop-ups make not readable.
The “speedy” train from Miami to Orlando that he said “only took three hours.”
It’s a 3 hour, 16 minute drive.
Wow.
I suppose the advantage is that that three hour trip becomes a passive investment of time.
Instead of having to actively drive, stressing about traffic, you get to sit on a train and potentially use that time. Want to browse your phone? More actively engage in conversation? Read a book? You've got time.
@@Secondary_Identifier Thank you for your positive spin! I sincerely appreciated that! Happy New Year!
Yes, and imagine if we took a full trainload of people and their vehicles off the road for those 3 hours. Trains are more effecient, less costly to the average traveler, and impact the environment less, than all those cars. Not to mention the safety advantages of less road traffic. Also, trains are cool.
Better for the environment, reduces stress for the driver (road rage anyone?), and gets you there comfortably. I'd take a train over having to drive anytime! (p.s. - I have to tip my hat to President Biden for some of these upticks., too.).
@@MemphiStig I agree trains are cool. But the reality is most people are not going to give up individual control to ride this train. What are people supposed to do once they get to whichever city they’re visiting? Walk? Spend hours on public transportation to accomplish what they came to do? I’m all for lowering emissions from cars as much as possible, but we also have to be realistic. A train that goes from one vehicle-dependent city to another isn’t realistic.
Thank you for the good news!
FINALLY news we need to hear! THANK YOU 😍
We're finally getting bullet trains?!! ❤
But AI does not belong in the art world. So many of my friends had their books and paintings ripped off by techbros.
Thank you for this!
For some reason, I only caught on to him segueing to himself halfway through the video 😄
Glad we still have you David Pogue! Thanks for all your compelling journalism each and every year 🙏
Did Ozempic pay for this?
Too bad about the rain forest (stronger regrowth programs would help), but the increase in rail, always helpful pharma, pre-mass fatality personal flight and AI before it enslaves us are all exciting developments for the future! :)
Thank you!!!
Thank you!
Wow🎉thank YOU
Thank You
Thank you for sharing.😊
Excellent!
Where can I find a list of the stories that crawled across the bottom!
Is it real
Thank you for the good news.
Thanks, David!
Nice touch with the Back to the Future joke at the end ("Where we're going we wont need runways")
Thank You😊 Needed Some Good News😊
As we say in Boston, that story was awesome. 😉
Fabulous!
Loved this segment pls do more often
The tickets alone should be stories. Make this a regular segment
If you’re looking at taking Ozempic, really educate yourself on muscle loss and gastroparesis
good news!! yeah that is the best news!
The seats are hard and the food selection poor 😮
Must watch TV. Thank you:)
Happy Holidays 🎉 Blessings Happy New Year
2:30 I’m not a great multi-tasker. I had to play this twice. Once to listen and watch the video and the second time to read the ticker.
And good for transportation secretary. Pete Butigieg. A future President of the USA
I'm very excited about the new railway systems. It looks amazing to be able to cross the top of the country mid-west over
more of this!!!!
CBS Sunday Morning is a great show.
Private rail is the stupidest idea since the monorail.
Love help staying on the sunny side of the street. But, why don't the graphs all have the same x-axis data? The one stopped at 2020, the dumpster fire year. (Picky, I know, but just wondering).
will definitely check this video out. we definitely covered a few....
Plane question. Where is the electricity coming from?
We need good news!
I like how they make sure to point out how bad things are, like the graphs going down and the article about AI leading to human extinction.
EDIT: 6:15 it starts saying on the bottom banner how the ozone layer is going to completely disappear. How positive
WOULD YOU CONSIDER INTERVIEWING MARIANNE WILLIAMSON FOR PRESIDENT???
As for technologies like that airplane seen at the end- I'm collaborating with a large airline for a fully Hydrogen fuel plane. This has- by far, greater capabilities and is emission free! Only sad thing is we need to wait for 2035-ish.
The Redwoods: Nature always finds a way...
Not a snow ball chance in hell would you get me on an electric plane!!!!!
Graphs were going in the same direction over the past 20 years I'd like to see it broken down smaller increments of time
The best way to deal with carbon emissions in air travel is to stop flying around Willy nilly. Flying used to be for important occasions. Now people treat airports like convenience stores. I have friends that fly to NewcZealamd - the furthest point on the globe from us - just to do it, and then turn around and fly home. If everyone on the planet were to live this way well the earth is doomed.
I would love to fly to New Zealand but I would stay for a week or two to enjoy all the sites. Your friends are weird.
@@innagottadavida8538 I think you missed the point of my post.
@@jamesvlambert I understood your point although I doubt many people can afford to fly around "willy nilly". Also, most people seem to feel that airports and flights are the worst part of travelling which explains the rise in problem-causing air passengers.
Can the batteries be recycled.
Airlines would be wise to invest in high speed rail! It’s the future!
WHO is preferring relatively slow trains over airplanes?
@@BrianHencheyShowover twenty countries where high speed rail exists and is being built. For distances under 600 miles high speed rail beats flying for total travel time. Even in the US along the NE Corridor between NYC and Washington DC, Amtrak’s Acela service provides a competitive alternative to flying despite it just qualifying as high speed rail.
The US is finally starting to catch up in high speed rail with projects like California HSR and Brightline West, as well as others in early phases like Texas Central, Cascadia, and Southeast HSR.
@@ChrisJones-gx7fc My question was “who” not where. Trains are infamous liberal boondoggles. And Amtrak doesn’t have a great track record, pun intended, for providing reliable service.
@@BrianHencheyShow much of that has to do with Amtrak using freight tracks for most of its routes outside the NE Corridor, namely the long distance trains who are at the mercy of the freight trains and track conditions.
As for who, tens of millions of people around the world travel on high speed trains on a regular basis. Like I said, for journeys 100-600 miles high speed rail is the fastest travel option between cities.
@@ChrisJones-gx7fc I apologize that I should’ve asked the question I had intended to: Who in the USA is preferring riding slow trains over fast airplanes?
How do I subscribe just to this segment for all my news?
Great. Let's just wait 2500 years, and those trees will grow back as they were.
Immunotherapy is likely to save my husband’s life in 2023 & 2024. Recently approved protocol in 2022. May we keep funding research and move forward continuing to save lives and improve quality of life
I'm so excited for the trains. America did a bad thing letting the auto makers destroy our trail system.
Good news needs to be covered at the same rate or more than bad news.
Stop gaslighting people! Gas is up, groceries are up, rent is up, utilities are up, wars are up.
Ugh you blew the line at the end !!! The line from BTTF is , where were going, we dont need ROADS. Cmon man !!!! You are a journalist !!!
They need to make a news channel for depressed people
1:53 Does this mean that “Bullet Train 2 🚅” will be set in the United States 🇺🇸 instead of Japan 🇯🇵?
Nice Ozempic ad
The full green screen makes it look chintzy and vaguely infomercially
Hooray! Please give us regular updates…😄
Now this is news
Great Story: Thanks, HNY 2024!🦘
Sorrry ozempic is questionable but good overall otherwise
more good news for 2023: david pogue did not seem to throw an iphone at his wife again
Wow, what a joy to listen to this news cast twice (just to read the crawl) !
My insurance won't cover ozempic, It would cost me 800 dollars and my doctor won't prescribe Wegovy. These are tremendous gains- for rich people. Otherwise, good news.
People shouldn’t get too invested in A.I. It’s way too unpredictable and when s-t hits the fan, it will be too late to reverse it.
Quit living in fear

No way would I ever trust electric planes & hate electric cars.
