I just found out about this show last week and I’ve already completed watching the entire 3 seasons… and that was my favourite scene!!! The entire episode watching Simon have his doubts, then challenge Jesus as he steps out onto the sea, then Jesus pulling him up and Simon weeping into Jesus’ arms… that was so moving. I too was almost in tears. This is a ridiculously good show!!!

This series has filled me with such Joy and Hope that ive begun to pick up the pieces of my life and learn to live again. Im still alone,alive but have HOPE. Without hope a human is lost. This show even pulled my teenage son in at 14 and at 18 he is still loving it. We have had so many deep conversations about Jesus and subjects related to the Bible after watching The Chosen together and I am so grateful for those moments. Highly, highly recommend as it so beautifully done.
I was one of those fans at Chosen Con in Dallas, I'm 57 and disabled ( walking kills my back) but there was no way I was going to miss it! I found the series right after season 1 aired, I remember stumbling across it late one night when my pain was so bad I couldn't sleep, I saw it and yes I've seen many movies/ shows about Jesus and I thought Humm, well I'll give it a try. After that first episode I called my best friend of 43yrs and said my gosh you've got to watch! I cried, laughed and yes prayed. I'll admit I was your quintessential backslider if there is such a thing. I had been saved, went to church, took my children and as they say, life and 2 abusive relationships got in the way. I have read some of the Bible and honestly it was always hard to picture these ppl. It was a time so long ago it would almost be like stepping on to another planet if sent back there now. But my gosh, what a true God given talent Dallas and the other writers have for quite literally pulling these people, these places right off the page!! It is like all of the sudden you're seeing in 4D and color for the first time. Do I mind the creative license he takes, not a bit because he and his go to team are so studied that they know what and how life would have looked back then, how many people lived and yes how their lives probably were. So yes maybe some things aren't exact but they are exact enough for me! I appreciate the attention to detail, like everyone isn't freshly polished and all wearing sparkling clothes, Jesus doesn't look like he stepped off the cloud with glowing robes and such. Dallas brings forth the gospel and adds in the daily grit and I'm so happy God led him down this path! I've since rededicated my life to God, been baptized finally! And never ever miss an episode. I try to make it to the theatrical releases, I did miss Christmas with The Chosen, I was sick and my best friend was fighting covid, however I've caught it on Prime😉 Oh and we've already got our tickets for season 4 1-3 and 4-6 we will be getting the others after Christmas. Yes we are so grateful to Dallas, his family, the cast and crew.. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your doing to spread God's word. To give people a whole new look of The New Testament. God Bless you! Please get out of addiction. I know my friend who got caught by police at a public park due to his crazy behaviors, and eventually put to jail. He went through rehab, relapse and rehab again. Now he is clean and started a new life. God loves you. Hold onto him.
Bravo for.CBS covering this amazing series and doing in a way that opens the door for non believers to check it out. The series has brought thousands closer to God, healed hearts and renewed faith and frankly, theres no accidents its occuring now, when we need it the most. This is exactly the story that people need to hear…..they have forgotten, they stopped believing, we need a reminder, that if we knock, the door will be open. Life is hard, and this is why we need to talk to God…..all of the time. This series seems to portray and make Jesus human and relatable. The stories we’ve read or heard a thousand times now brings on a new dimension. ❤
I absolutely love The Chosen! The show is beautiful. Rumi isn’t Jesus BUT he portrays the most beautiful depiction of I’ve ever seen and I grew up with varied depictions of Jesus. I just love the way he presents Jesus as funny and loving but also mission driven and intentional.

My Sister & I were extras on The Feeding of the 5000! Or as us extras called it The Feeding of the Fried Thousands! It was hot! But! I wouldn’t trade a second of this experience and the crew all took such good care of us! Plenty of water,electrolytes, sunscreen and bug wipes. And our meals provided by Wolf Gang Puks Catering! This show is so special to me personally, it’s really brought the scriptures to life and I would reference The Bible to see what was scripture and what was script. I also love that Jesus has a good clean sense of humor! If you haven’t watched it, PLEASE DO! I can’t say enough good things about it! ❤

I don't think we should be replacing scripture with tv, but I love love LOVE The Chosen. If it did nothing else, it brought bible characters to life, gave them faces, and created scenes so now when I read my Bible, I can see it.
Dallas isn't trying to replace scripture! This is a creative production, bringing the Bible and all those who encountered Jesus to life so that we can relate to Jesus on a deeper level. He said from the very beginning that the Chosen does not follow scripture exactly, nor was that his intention.
@@cindyp9158 Oh, I didn't think he did. I just mean that's what a lot of people say, that they've turned Jesus into entertainment. I don't believe that at all, and as someone else said, I'm grateful for the platforms we have today. I mean, we even have Christian anime and comic books now! Not my thing, but I have a teenager who isn't interested in KJV monotone nonsense out of the pulpit, but he loves anime. Jesus reached people where they were at, and it should still be that way.

Thanks for doing this piece! I have never been one for super fandom let alone just a regular fan! I never got obsession over shows or movies, etc. But The Chosen has changed that for me, I am a super fan! It's bringing a lot of people together that wouldn't ordinarily would even cross paths!
I saw the first episode when it hit RUclips. Watched it three times in a row and cried each time. Reminded me these were actual people with same troubles, fears and questions we have today. God really does love us. Thanks for shining a light on this.
This series is so powerful that through it, God brought me out of a deep depression. I feel a sense of hope and joy I haven't felt in a long time. It has brought the whole story of Jesus' life and ministry alive for me! My old stale way of looking at this amazing story has fallen away. And I know I'm far from the only one who feels this. Blessings to everyone involved in this project. I thank God for it every day now.

I have been so blessed by this show! It has changed my life and faith. I've also been able to be a background several times. My little sister and I popped up for a second in this video when taking about the extras. I'm the extra covering my mouth and the girl sitting next to me on the bus is my little sister. Wasn't expecting to see our faces here!
What I love the most about this show is the portrayal of Jesus and the disciples and how down to earth they are. They aren’t presented like in other religious outlets as the high and mighty but rather on a more human level to which I can relate to them and their struggles. Very well done!
Take everything with a grain of salt if you're watching this show. They might include the wrong message or invented fiction. The best way to experience God is to read the BIble.
The Bible warns against leading people astray, and we know that even in the day and age of having so much access to knowledge, people don't do any research. They believe what they see and hear in movies and television shows. They don't do any research because they assume these Christian film makers and actors are portraying things accurately. I watched two episodes of this series when it first came out, and the inaccuracies and liberties that they've taken with scripture caused me to turn it off. The Bible also says there will come a time when people will no longer endure sound doctrine, and will raise up for themselves teachers who will tell them what want to hear. They will fall prey to the doctrine of demons and devils. All satan has to do is make people doubt the accuracy of God's word. It's what he's done since the very beginning in the garden of Eden. The devil knows no new tricks.
@@RachelLWolfe That is a sad truth, when many say they are Christians but prefer to watch dramatized events instead of taking the time to read the Bible. It’s easy to watch a show but a bit difficult to read God’s Word. It might be challenging to look up everything we come across in the Bible, but hearing it from God Himself is better than watching a production created by Mormons.

I read a comment in this section from a woman who said her husband "studied theology in school" and she herself has "read the scripture", and neither of them see anything wrong with this show. It just goes to show that you can study theology all you want, but it won't make you an "expert" in all things concerning the life of Christ, and the word of God. So many seminaries get it wrong, and this is why false doctrine is so prevalent. People need to be Bereans, and search the scriptures themselves to see if what they are being taught is true. Personally, I love a deep dive into the scriptures. I feel like I am always learning something new, depending on the seasons of life. We must have discernment.

I knew from the first episode it wasn't right and then I ended up falling into the mindset of it's better than watching other things, and then the Holy Spirit showed me that no it's not because they are claiming this is the Jesus of the Bible and it is not 😢 The episode where Phillip hit his foot on a rock and it was spoken of several times in the episode, the Holy Spirit showed me that mocks the Lord because scripture say's ; I will send my angels to take charge over you , to keep you in all your ways In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone Psalm 91:11-12 That did it for me! I just read my Bible and pray for discernment that I might not be deceived and stay true to the end on the narrow path set before me. God bless you

YES!! That’s exactly what I love about it. Jesus was 100% human!! Not an angelic being who came down to earth. He came as us, HUMAN. And his disciples also had problems, doubts, questions, struggles, just like all of us. But that is where FAITH lifts us all up!

Love this, and I’m not even really a Christian anymore. I think this video shows a need in people to get back to a connection with God and through that a connection to other people and their world around them. And to be able to trust something in this age of mass disinformation making everything seem false and fake.
Will you explore the Word now do you think? I find the story of Jesus to be so convincing, so much so that it led me to believe. This man who walked around in a sack cloth, had no money and wasn't from an esteemed (Rabinic) family, managed to create such an impact that the whole calendar changed because of him BC/AD. The 12 disciples that followed him round, abandoned him when he went to the cross (all except John), then when he died they hid in fear until they were visited 3 days later by Jesus. Even then they were still fearful and doubting. It took a whole 40 days later for them to be imbued with the overflowing holy spirit before they then became so bold that they went out and proclaimed the Christ and they kept doing it even to the point of torture and punishment. I find that astounding and so contrary to the natural law of how influencers typically achieve success and therefore quite difficult to support the notion that Jesus was just a man in history that was just a good teacher. I've been thinking about when we implement business change at work. It takes money, it takes stakeholder buy in, a CxO champion, it takes people who are paid a salary to fulfil a role to make it happen. Yet even with all that it is difficult, and that is just a business change at work in 1 company. But Jesus had none of that money, people, stature and yet the world changed because of him. It is supernatural the impact he had and that is indeed the claim. Anyway, you said you weren't really a Christian anymore, but do you think you might consider whether Jesus might be the Truth and return to Christianity?

For anyone wondering if the Chosen changes scriptures- it doesn’t. It “adds twists”, i.e includes parts in the script that aren’t in scripture (and so the director himself explains that the goal is NOT to replace scripture but to make a relatable depiction of the apostles and Christ, so these “twists” are in service of that). Check their channel- Dallas answers questions there. There’s so much more to the gospel and Christ than what is shown, but the Chosen is a good way to empathize and imagine what it would have really been like to live life with Christ as His friend and follower. It should make us want to read scriptures more, if anything. The reason why they don’t include everything Christ says (especially the less easy ones to take in) is because it would require so much more theology and a degree of devotion to Christ already to understand these things. This is why we should read scripture, on top of watching the show. We must take everything with a grain of salt of course. But let’s not dismiss a show that has united Christians from all denominations and brought hundreds back to their faith. We can judge anything based on its fruit…and this show has bore much good fruit :)
This show has helped so many people see our Savior and the Apostles as loving and struggling humans who are approachable and relatable. A definite blessing in many people’s lives.

We first learned about "The Chosen" while looking for a Holy Week show to watch in 2021. We were familiar with Jesus story movies from the 60s and 70s, but then we found Episode 1 of Season 1 where Jesus meets and calls his disciples. We were hooked! When the opportunity to become part of the feeding of the 5K, we jumped on it right away. It was an amazing experience!
I feel in love with the man I imagine Jesus was is when I thought of this man struggling with the issues we all struggle with. "Why have you forsaken me!" This was a real human who delivered a divine mystery within each of us. If we awaken. (Some would say- born again) The kingdom of God is within you... (That is my best guess)
He is always Good. Man made the choice not to obey God. He decided to obey satan, which he is still doing today. Father God, in His goodness, sent Jesus Christ into the world to redeem mankind from the kingdom of darkness. When you believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord and confess it with your mouth, the Holy Spirit will come to dwell in your spirit; and as Jesus said, you will be born again... John 3:6-7 KJV [6] That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. [7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. ... Jesus did not come into the world to give us religion, but to restore mankind's relationship with God, to deliver us from the control of the sin nature, and to give us eternal life.
The aspect of this show that makes it so appealing to me is that Jesus is portrayed as a mensch, a regular guy trying to bring his divine message to the world as he treats people like actual human beings. He is someone whom I not only would want to follow, but with whom I would also want to be friends. It is very different from most on screen portrayals of Jesus, where he seems more untouchable and remote. God only knows how this all actually happened, but it works for me.
Read Isaiah 53. The true Jesus was despised, scorned, rejected, and not One that men would look on, and His people "esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted" (Is 53:4-6).
Sometimes I have issues with certain production or creative choices they make. I have to remind myself that not all of "The Chosen" is scripturally accurate. Mary Magdalene's relapse, for example, isn't mentioned anywhere. But where the show shines is its portrayal of what IS in Scripture along with the historical scene-setting. The writing and acting are superb; now read the Bible to know the difference between fact and storytelling (even Dallas Jenkins agrees with that), and let the Holy Spirit take it from there.

This show even pulled my teenage son in at 14 and at 18 he is still loving it. We have had so many deep conversations about Jesus and subjects related to the Bible after watching The Chosen together and I am so grateful for those moments.

I was one of those fans at Chosen Con in Dallas, I'm 57 and disabled ( walking kills my back) but there was no way I was going to miss it! I found the series right after season 1 aired, I remember stumbling across it late one night when my pain was so bad I couldn't sleep, I saw it and yes I've seen many movies/ shows about Jesus and I thought Humm, well I'll give it a try. After that first episode I called my best friend of 43yrs and said my gosh you've got to watch! I cried, laughed and yes prayed. I'll admit I was your quintessential backslider if there is such a thing. I had been saved, went to church, took my children and as they say, life and 2 abusive relationships got in the way. I have read some of the Bible and honestly it was always hard to picture these ppl. It was a time so long ago it would almost be like stepping on to another planet if sent back there now. But my gosh, what a true God given talent Dallas and the other writers have for quite literally pulling these people, these places right off the page!! It is like all of the sudden you're seeing in 4D and color for the first time. Do I mind the creative license he takes, not a bit because he and his go to team are so studied that they know what and how life would have looked back then, how many people lived and yes how their lives probably were. So yes maybe some things aren't exact but they are exact enough for me! I appreciate the attention to detail, like everyone isn't freshly polished and all wearing sparkling clothes, Jesus doesn't look like he stepped off the cloud with glowing robes and such. Dallas brings forth the gospel and adds in the daily grit and I'm so happy God led him down this path! I've since rededicated my life to God, been baptized finally! And never ever miss an episode. I try to make it to the theatrical releases, I did miss Christmas with The Chosen, I was sick and my best friend was fighting covid, however I've caught it on Prime😉
Oh and we've already got our tickets for season 4 1-3 and 4-6 we will be getting the others after Christmas. Yes we are so grateful to Dallas, his family, the cast and crew.. THANK YOU SO MUCH for all your doing to spread God's word. To give people a whole new look of The New Testament. God Bless you!

I have struggled with addiction basically my whole life and the episode where Mary Magdalene relapsed literally made me bust out in tears
Man I can relate, hear you loud and clear. Powerful how she chose to get up and go back to Jesus.
Please get out of addiction. I know my friend who got caught by police at a public park due to his crazy behaviors, and eventually put to jail. He went through rehab, relapse and rehab again. Now he is clean and started a new life. God loves you. Hold onto him.
Bravo for.CBS covering this amazing series and doing in a way that opens the door for non believers to check it out. The series has brought thousands closer to God, healed hearts and renewed faith and frankly, theres no accidents its occuring now, when we need it the most. The Chosen has connected the Bible to me in ways I didn’t know was possible before.
This is exactly the story that people need to hear…..they have forgotten, they stopped believing, we need a reminder, that if we knock, the door will be open. Life is hard, and this is why we need to talk to God…..all of the time. This series seems to portray and make Jesus human and relatable. The stories we’ve read or heard a thousand times now brings on a new dimension. ❤
God is clearly using Dallas, Jonathan and everyone involved with The Chosen as a beautiful tools to bring people closer to Him.
I absolutely love The Chosen! The show is beautiful. Rumi isn’t Jesus BUT he portrays the most beautiful depiction of I’ve ever seen and I grew up with varied depictions of Jesus. I just love the way he presents Jesus as funny and loving but also mission driven and intentional.

My Sister & I were extras on The Feeding of the 5000! Or as us extras called it The Feeding of the Fried Thousands! It was hot! But! I wouldn’t trade a second of this experience and the crew all took such good care of us! Plenty of water,electrolytes, sunscreen and bug wipes. And our meals provided by Wolf Gang Puks Catering! This show is so special to me personally, it’s really brought the scriptures to life and I would reference The Bible to see what was scripture and what was script.
I also love that Jesus has a good clean sense of humor! If you haven’t watched it, PLEASE DO!

I don't think we should be replacing scripture with tv, but I love love LOVE The Chosen. If it did nothing else, it brought bible characters to life, gave them faces, and created scenes so now when I read my Bible, I can see it.

Dallas isn't trying to replace scripture! This is a creative production, bringing the Bible and all those who encountered Jesus to life so that we can relate to Jesus on a deeper level. He said from the very beginning that the Chosen does not follow scripture exactly, nor was that his intention.

I don't believe that at all, and as someone else said, I'm grateful for the platforms we have today. I mean, we even have Christian anime and comic books now! Not my thing, but I have a teenager who isn't interested in KJV monotone nonsense out of the pulpit, but he loves anime. Jesus reached people where they were at, and it should still be that way.

Thanks for doing this piece! I have never been one for super fandom let alone just a regular fan! I never got obsession over shows or movies, etc. But The Chosen has changed that for me, I am a super fan! It's bringing a lot of people together that wouldn't ordinarily would even cross paths!
I saw the first episode when it hit RUclips. Watched it three times in a row and cried each time. Reminded me these were actual people with same troubles, fears and questions we have today. God really does love us. Thanks for shining a light on this.

This series is so powerful that through it, God brought me out of a deep depression. I feel a sense of hope and joy I haven't felt in a long time. It has brought the whole story of Jesus' life and ministry alive for me! My old stale way of looking at this amazing story has fallen away. And I know I'm far from the only one who feels this. Blessings to everyone involved in this project. I thank God for it every day now.

I have been so blessed by this show! It has changed my life and faith. I've also been able to be a background several times. My little sister and I popped up for a second in this video when taking about the extras. I'm the extra covering my mouth and the girl sitting next to me on the bus is my little sister. Wasn't expecting to see our faces here!
What I love the most about this show is the portrayal of Jesus and the disciples and how down to earth they are. They aren’t presented like in other religious outlets as the high and mighty but rather on a more human level to which I can relate to them and their struggles. Very well done!

Take everything with a grain of salt if you're watching this show. They might include the wrong message or invented fiction. The best way to experience God is to read the BIble.
Yes, but the show knows it's not scripture.
It's a nice gateway to pique interest in the bible which is fascinating but sometimes intimidating.
The Bible warns against leading people astray, and we know that even in the day and age of having so much access to knowledge, people don't do any research. They believe what they see and hear in movies and television shows. They don't do any research because they assume these Christian film makers and actors are portraying things accurately.
I watched two episodes of this series when it first came out, and the inaccuracies and liberties that they've taken with scripture caused me to turn it off.
The Bible also says there will come a time when people will no longer endure sound doctrine, and will raise up for themselves teachers who will tell them what want to hear. They will fall prey to the doctrine of demons and devils.
All satan has to do is make people doubt the accuracy of God's word. It's what he's done since the very beginning in the garden of Eden. The devil knows no new tricks.
@@RachelLWolfe That is a sad truth, when many say they are Christians but prefer to watch dramatized events instead of taking the time to read the Bible. It’s easy to watch a show but a bit difficult to read God’s Word. It might be challenging to look up everything we come across in the Bible, but hearing it from God Himself is better than watching a production created by Mormons.

I read a comment in this section from a woman who said her husband "studied theology in school" and she herself has "read the scripture", and neither of them see anything wrong with this show. It just goes to show that you can study theology all you want, but it won't make you an "expert" in all things concerning the life of Christ, and the word of God. So many seminaries get it wrong, and this is why false doctrine is so prevalent. People need to be Bereans, and search the scriptures themselves to see if what they are being taught is true. Personally, I love a deep dive into the scriptures. I feel like I am always learning something new, depending on the seasons of life. We must have discernment.

I knew from the first episode it wasn't right and then I ended up falling into the mindset of it's better than watching other things, and then the Holy Spirit showed me that no it's not because they are claiming this is the Jesus of the Bible and it is not 😢
The episode where Phillip hit his foot on a rock and it was spoken of several times in the episode, the Holy Spirit showed me that
mocks the Lord because scripture say's ;
I will send my angels to take charge over you , to keep you in all your ways
In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone

I just read my Bible and pray for discernment that I might not be deceived and stay true to the end on the narrow path set before me.

YES!! That’s exactly what I love about it. Jesus was 100% human!! Not an angelic being who came down to earth. He came as us, HUMAN. And his disciples also had problems, doubts, questions, struggles, just like all of us. But that is where FAITH lifts us all up!

Love this, and I’m not even really a Christian anymore. I think this video shows a need in people to get back to a connection with God and through that a connection to other people and their world around them. And to be able to trust something in this age of mass disinformation making everything seem false and fake.
Will you explore the Word now do you think? I find the story of Jesus to be so convincing, so much so that it led me to believe. This man who walked around in a sack cloth, had no money and wasn't from an esteemed (Rabinic) family, managed to create such an impact that the whole calendar changed because of him BC/AD. The 12 disciples that followed him round, abandoned him when he went to the cross (all except John), then when he died they hid in fear until they were visited 3 days later by Jesus. Even then they were still fearful and doubting. It took a whole 40 days later for them to be imbued with the overflowing holy spirit before they then became so bold that they went out and proclaimed the Christ and they kept doing it even to the point of torture and punishment. I find that astounding and so contrary to the natural law of how influencers typically achieve success and therefore quite difficult to support the notion that Jesus was just a man in history that was just a good teacher. I've been thinking about when we implement business change at work. It takes money, it takes stakeholder buy in, a CxO champion, it takes people who are paid a salary to fulfil a role to make it happen. Yet even with all that it is difficult, and that is just a business change at work in 1 company. But Jesus had none of that money, people, stature and yet the world changed because of him. It is supernatural the impact he had and that is indeed the claim. Anyway, you said you weren't really a Christian anymore, but do you think you might consider whether Jesus might be the Truth and return to Christianity?
I have seen many life a lot of stories of Jesus Christ, yet this is an awesome life Him, so down to earth keep it up. Keep up the good works.
The chosen and all actors are amazing and realistic to the biblical word of God and Johnathon Roomy plays Jesus well.

For anyone wondering if the Chosen changes scriptures- it doesn’t. It “adds twists”, i.e includes parts in the script that aren’t in scripture (and so the director himself explains that the goal is NOT to replace scripture but to make a relatable depiction of the apostles and Christ, so these “twists” are in service of that). Check their channel- Dallas answers questions there.
There’s so much more to the gospel and Christ than what is shown, but the Chosen is a good way to empathize and imagine what it would have really been like to live life with Christ as His friend and follower. It should make us want to read scriptures more, if anything.
The reason why they don’t include everything Christ says (especially the less easy ones to take in) is because it would require so much more theology and a degree of devotion to Christ already to understand these things. This is why we should read scripture, on top of watching the show.
We must take everything with a grain of salt of course. But let’s not dismiss a show that has united Christians from all denominations and brought hundreds back to their faith. We can judge anything based on its fruit…and this show has bore much good fruit :)

We first learned about "The Chosen" while looking for a Holy Week show to watch in 2021. We were familiar with Jesus story movies from the 60s and 70s, but then we found Episode 1 of Season 1 where Jesus meets and calls his disciples. We were hooked! When the opportunity to become part of the feeding of the 5K, we jumped on it right away. It was an amazing experience!

I feel in love with the man I imagine Jesus was is when I thought of this man struggling with the issues we all struggle with. "Why have you forsaken me!" This was a real human who delivered a divine mystery within each of us. If we awaken. (Some would say- born again) The kingdom of God is within you... (That is my best guess)

The aspect of this show that makes it so appealing to me is that Jesus is portrayed as a mensch, a regular guy trying to bring his divine message to the world as he treats people like actual human beings. He is someone whom I not only would want to follow, but with whom I would also want to be friends. It is very different from most on screen portrayals of Jesus, where he seems more untouchable and remote. God only knows how this all actually happened, but it works for me.
Read Isaiah 53. The true Jesus was despised, scorned, rejected, and not One that men would look on, and His people "esteemed Him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted" (Is 53:4-6).
I was looking for God and I found, The Chosen and I found a Bible teaching church afterwards God is good!
Sometimes I have issues with certain production or creative choices they make. I have to remind myself that not all of "The Chosen" is scripturally accurate. Mary Magdalene's relapse, for example, isn't mentioned anywhere. But where the show shines is its portrayal of what IS in Scripture along with the historical scene-setting. The writing and acting are superb; now read the Bible to know the difference between fact and storytelling (even Dallas Jenkins agrees with that), and let the Holy Spirit take it from there.
