So i was listening to this the other weekend, while stacking wood. I respect both SVP and Jon Stewart very much and have grown up with both thru ESPN and the Daily Show for over 30-years now. To hear the level of emotion and the stories that they told of their family members that were lost had me absolutely BAWLING on the wood I was stacking. It reminded me of my dog who passed and how it took my wife and I YEARS to get back on that horse. I'm thankful to say that we did and life is good. Though I may never have the privilege to meet either of you two, it was a great podcast. Keep doing what you do, but warn me next time if I'm going to need tissues.
No politics, no sports ... just 40 minutes about dogs. SVP, you're spot on. You had me the whole time, but Reading ... Had to put our guy down on July 6. It was unexpected and truly an extremely hard day. Hopefully Otis and Lucky are talking about the Terps and playing ball. Thanks.
A very moving conversation guys. God bless y’all and your families(dogs obviously included). We lost Mo a little more than a year ago. One of the toughest things I’ve gone through. Would/will go through it again. Worth the trade every time.
It might come down to something like this. We care about them as much as we do because of their intrinsic goodness. Watching Dogs play with each other, especially puppies, there is a pureness. They want to have fun and be fair, to win some and lose some and share. It's like sport and love in its purest form. Like the opposite of twitter. The way we want to be, the way we could, should, and might not be able to be.
Goddammit you two. My last buddy was named Barkley. Y'all had me on the brink and then Jon mentioned Barkley and now I'm not sure if I'm typing the right words because I can't see through my tears. You insufferably relatable pricks.

One of the best things Ive watched in years. Literate discussion about a situation many of us have experienced.

I love you two. Listened to this via podcast only. Seeing the video enhanced the stories here. Thank you for sharing.
Tears multiple times watching this with many thoughts of my boy Zee. I really enjoyed you both sharing your emotions
