Thanks man. That was very helpful. I appreciate that you actually found a good angle to show exactly what you were doing. Some of the other videos I watched didn't actually show where the knock sensor was. They kind of described where it was but they didn't show it. It was really getting on my nerves. Now I can replace my knock sensor tomorrow.
How about the one on the firewall side of the block? It’s down from oil pressure sending unit. The one on the front of the block is easy to get to… How have you went about the one on the opposite side? It is tight and a 22 mm socket will not fit. Thanks for any info.
Hello, excuse me, I want to ask a question, where is the harness of the impact sensors of the Chevrolet Impala 3.8 connected? because my car has it cut, there are the sensors in the engine and the cable is cut and I don't know where it will go to connect a new one.
i know that is a low impact screw gun but knock sensors should only be tightened by hand and to the correct spec...they have a very delicate piezo element in them and they damage easily when torqued with anything that rattles them...
Good point but Im thinking his impact looks and sound like a "drill impact" which isn't really an impact at all in the sense of what real torque busting impact are and either is probably little different than the pounding it takes on the road. But point well taken, its a good point to think about, not only this but what else may be impacted by an impact, pun intended.

Now I got a question mine is broke the wire broke how can I rewire it
Is that bank 2 you changing
what about bank 2? the other sensor in the back?
What about them
How do you change bank 2 sensor in the back????
So that was the easy one in the front for bank 1. I can't find any video on how to change the back one for bank 2 between the tranny and the motor.
That's the one I'm trying to change
How do you get to bank 2
In the back. Try looking at a series 2 video. Theyre practically the same engine

What series? Same location as a series 3?
Well, I usually start them in by hand, then tighten with my ratchet. What were the torque specs when you tightened it?
Why did you replace it? What was your car doing?
Knocking at start the guy said
Excuse me , is that piece not like wired to somewhere?
There is a connector

Lol, he already dropped it twice.
