love the metal sound coming from phil g's snare gangk /gangk . the best performance recording i;ve ever seen of this song . apart from the turn it on chorus vox from lindup ,turn eht on .
@srot77 This guitarist didn't die, he left the band with his brother, the drummer in 1987. The replacement guitarist Alan Murphy died in 1989 after being with the band for under 2 years. They were a fantastic band, so tight with their melodies, and true virtuosos :-)
Great days. Just fun, great musicianship and great groove. No nurturing a menacing image, no feckin DJs, and no 'let's try fluke a record deal' cynicism. IMHO their later work (post Bros Gould) seemed to suffer from being constrained to write to a commercial formula. BTW, Mike's top looks like some tribute to Earth Wind and Fire ;~)
Peter Griffin - Mark King, Cleveland Brown - Mike Lindup, Glenn Quagmire - Boon Gould and Joe Swanson - Phil Gould. If Family Guy did Level 42.... Great song and video!
@srot77 boon is alive and well, although he is all done with touring and live gigs. that type of thing takes a lot out of you and they are all old men now :D
i don' t understand why they cant sometimes come together . is there so much bitterness ??? the band still sounds good , but the songwriting is not the best in level 42 form since running in the family .
There's not a bass player or drummer on the planet that doesn't like Level 42!
So True !
They look so incredibly happy. I wish we all could be so happy with what we do.
Love this track! They were so much funkier in their early days!
Back in the day when music was real music, awesome!
OH HELL YES!!!! The best band Ever!!!!

Yes sir. My favorite band is bad ass.
Boon.....the best!
Definition for tightest band: Level 42.

Young Russel Howard on drums there, haha.

Mike Lindup looks like John Oates here, but without the Down Syndrome.
Dick Richards 😂
OK, now THAT was funny!
@mickeymoose76 Rather like Eagle eye Cherry.
@shabloone They're white & European, that's what's wrong.
